BIC

Hello, I've recently added a Building Information Center to your suburb. You guys seem to be pretty consistant with danger reports, so I'm hoping you'll be able to keep it updated. Thanks! --Red Hawk One 06:11, 6 July 2009 (BST)

Great work that! It'd be great if we could merge of mirror the report lists from that and Shearbank Patrol somehow, so the data doesn't get split between too many pages, can you think of any way to do that?.. --Alan Jersie 08:21, 6 July 2009 (BST)
The only solution I can think of would be to manually make sure both sources are up-to-date. I'm sure there's an easier technical solution, but I'm not really one to ask about that. ~ Red Hawk One Talk | NW | KRFR 08:40, 6 July 2009 (BST)
I'm guessing ideally this all should be derived from a single template so that's the only thing that has to be kept up to date, but I have no idea how to merge that with report bot data. Right now Strategic Point List, Building Information Center and building's Wiki page all have to be updated manually, which is a hassle. --Alan Jersie 08:44, 6 July 2009 (BST)
Actually, the BIC and the Wikipages both use the same templates (i.e. {{User:DangerReport/Building Name}})-update one, you update both. A Building Information center is basically just all of a Suburb's danger reports on one page. I'm afraid you'd have to reformat your system to work in the report templates. ~ Red Hawk One Talk | NW | KRFR 09:00, 6 July 2009 (BST)
This is about what I was talking about, the BIC format doesn't allow for at-a-glance scan or coherent organization, or at least I don't think it does. But nevermind that, I'll see if I can figure out something. Could you maybe add Danger Reports for The Bridle Museum and St. Christopher's Church, however? They're Mall entry points. --Alan Jersie 09:04, 6 July 2009 (BST)

KOS question

I seem to be on some sort of KOS listing by Umbrella; I cannot however find my name of any of their lists, so I ask you wether you have come across Rorydoc on any of their Pker lists, and wehter yourselves will be hunting me as a suspect PKer.

Many thanks, --RahrahCome join the #party!17:08, 22 June 2009 (BST)
I have no idea how Umbrella manages their PK lists, but I'm sure you could contact them directly and ask to be removed from any Bounty lists.
Maintaining PK lists is tricky in general, but as long as you don't actually PK - and/or announce any revenge or bounty kills as such - you really shouldn't appear on them. Since you're neither on Umbrella nor Shearbank list, you should be safe.
PS: Another thing - some zergers and PKers tend to disguise as bounty hunters or group members and direct you to PK lists and such. --Alan Jersie 18:39, 22 June 2009 (BST)

Teamwork

I'm SamuRyjak from the SOTD - First and Only. We occupy the Manuel Towers and I noticed you were very active in status updates on the NT buildings. As we are operating in the same area, I thought an introduction was in order. We will mostly be guarding a 4 block radius of the towers and helping to maintain the Turner NT/Sartin Monument revive point until we get our skill levels up. Any advice or assistance you wish to render would be appreciated. --SamuRyjak 17:02, 25 June 2009 (BST)

Any group aiding in restoration of Shearbank is most welcome. While we probably won't be able to co-operate on the group level as Shearbank Patrol is mainly a communication and coordination hub of individual survivors, you and everyone else are free to utilise our resources and reports, such as Strategic Point status list, or call for help with specific tasks.
Stacey Monument seems to be a wise choice for a revification point, let us know if you get it up and running and into an official state (update the barricade plan and such), or simply update the Strategic Point list yourself.
Hoping for a zombie-free Malton, --Alan Jersie 17:29, 25 June 2009 (BST)
I threw together a Help page, you might find it useful. Take care to observe common sense if you do. --Alan Jersie 17:49, 25 June 2009 (BST)
I linked that page from our tools section under Shearbank Homeowners Association. We are also more of a C&C hub, so I think this will work. I'd like to expand the SHA as a loose group for sharing info between separate groups. Keep your head down and powder dry. --SamuRyjak 19:16, 25 June 2009 (BST)
Good to hear.
What is Shearbank Homeowners Assosiation? Shearbank Patrol also largely serves as a free-for-all information hub, much like Umbrella's PK Listings. --Alan Jersie 19:31, 25 June 2009 (BST)
The Shearbank Homeowners Association would function as a centralized location for communication and coordination between groups and individuals within Shearbank. That way, in the event of zombie incursion, we can communicate effectively. It is also a good way to keep track of maintenance around Shearbank, as your help page lists. By not having any requirements for membership, community minded individuals who wish to stay out of official groups, as well as groups that do not normally work together could still provide a more effective defense.--SamuRyjak 21:55, 25 June 2009 (BST)
This is pretty much the means and purpose Shearbank Patrol is meant to serve. I think we should keep the projects separate but cross-referencing for now, then we'll see how it goes. Tell me if you have an official page up, and good luck! --Alan Jersie 22:01, 25 June 2009 (BST)
Modified the link in our tools page to direct people to Shearbank Homeowners Association directly, there's a link to your help page. Hope that's ok, if not, let me know and I'll remove it.--SamuRyjak 00:48, 26 June 2009 (BST)
Very interesting, I'll keep an eye out for your progress. :) --Alan Jersie 09:48, 26 June 2009 (BST)
You may want to update your Group's front page adding Sartin Monument revive point and Re: Keedwell refuel and updated. --SamuRyjak 16:13, 1 July 2009 (BST)
You'll want to update all related pages (map, barricade plan, wiki page, etc.) and possibly seek local consensus before it can be declared an official revive point and ensure it'll be able to remain in operation with or without any one group's help. --Alan Jersie 18:19, 1 July 2009 (BST)
I'll get on that. For practical purposes it is an RP. I've never waited more than a few hours for a rez. SOTD maintains it, as does a group known as "The Resistance". --SamuRyjak 19:28, 2 July 2009 (BST)
Great. It does seem like a good location for an RP, as I already mentioned. Feel free to add it to the list yourself if you want, but at least after it has a meaningful presence on the Wiki (so as to not confuse other users). --Alan Jersie 19:41, 2 July 2009 (BST)

Notification of Listing as Group in Shearbank

This group has been listed on the page Shearbank as a Survivor group. Kindest regards, --RahrahCome join the #party!18:26, 25 June 2009 (BST)

Thanks a bunch! --Alan Jersie 18:31, 25 June 2009 (BST)

And I have partially removed you from the same list. Your were listed as a hostile (PK) group by User:Captain Rickety. I have reverted his edit and warned him not to do it again. Your still listed as Pro-Survivor of course. Greets, --Thadeous Oakley 18:54, 25 June 2009 (BST)

Thank you. I guess we'll have to keep an eye out for Blue Aegis, vandalism isn't exactly a proper measure... --Alan Jersie 18:59, 25 June 2009 (BST)

Blue Aegis debacle

Maintained for amusement purposes. Check out their liberation activities.

As the only member of the group so far, I have filed and sent the permit and attached all required legal forms to 37, Sod Off Street. Thank you for your kind reminder. --Alan Jersie 20:58, 21 June 2009 (BST)

Declaration of Freedom War

As you have failed to cease your racist attacks on survivors, and have instead chose to escalate these vulgarities to a new extreme. As a result of these and countless other activities of your doing, we find ourselves with no alternative but to force you and your entire membership to play as a zombies until further notice. Have an exceedingly nice day, Yours Most Sincerly Captain Rickety 08:39, 22 June 2009 (BST)'

This appears to be a misunderstanding. I, nor Shearbank Patrol, have never professed any racist or aggressive intentions, but have merely advised yourself to sod off as quickly as possible. I hope this clears that up. --Alan Jersie 09:32, 22 June 2009 (BST)
Actually, there is evidence of both racism on the part of the individual and on the group in question. We believe that racism is a sign of ignorance and to a limited extent; fear. We believe that as the Racists of the suburb live in fear, we as the responsible members of the community have a duty to aid them in their rehabilitation until we feel that they see that they must embrace the virtues of tolerance, peace, forgiveness, humility, and kindness. We have evidence of both Alan Jersie's connections to racist groups, and evidence of racist attacks made by members of the Aryan Christian Militia. Therefore it is with a heavy heart that I must tell you: You are a racist, and rude too. Your conduct will only make things worse for yourself and your members. Repent and beg for forgiveness, lest you squander what goodwill we have for you. Have a peaceful night, because at dawn we march for Shearbank! Captain Rickety 18:32, 22 June 2009 (BST)
Whatever rocks your boat, good sir. --Alan Jersie 18:41, 22 June 2009 (BST)

Your Racist Behavior

As you have been proven without any measure of doubt to engage in racist behavior our group will target you and any members of your organization. We believe that racism, hate, and intolerance have no place in this game or anywhere else. We believe that the residents of Shearbank deserve a group that stands for security, peace, and tolerance of all peoples. A racist in incapable of achieving these goals, and therefore cannot lead any group that has these goals. We will not tolerate your violent racist ideology anywhere in Malton, and we will not allow your racist beliefs to pollute an otherwise upstanding Pro-Survivor Group. The War Against Racism will continue until the following conditions are met:

  • Alan Jersie must leave the Shearbank Patrol.
  • Alan Jersie must apologize for his racism, and commit to rehabilitation efforts until he has been declared rehabilitated.
  • The Shearbank Patrol must be lead by a non-racist.
  • The Shearbank Patrol must provide proof (screenshot) of pking, or remove the individuals from their list.
  • Alan Jersie and the Shearbank Patrol must acknowledge their defeat at the hands of the Blue Aegis Group, in the name of freedom, peace, and tolerance.

--Captain Rickety 23:09, 25 June 2009 (BST)

I don't mean to intrude, but I'm curious... you're targeting Shearbank Patrol members when it's pretty clear only Alan is a "racist." I say "racist" because, besides his past group, there isn't any evidence at all of racism from him or his members. Screenshots, man, screenshots! If you ask for them from the Patrol, you ought to be able to provide them showing Alan's alleged heinous crimes. --Bob Boberton TF / DW 00:40, 26 June 2009 (BST)
I could draw up some screenshots if you want (I'd probably do a better job at antialiasing text than Rickety did anyway), but joking about racism isn't generally my cup of tea. Check out their Freedom War I, it's largely the same deal, racism and all. --Alan Jersie 09:46, 26 June 2009 (BST)
