20070919 Zombie Movement Bug Correction

Jedi Black 16:30, 19 September 2007 (BST)

Suggestion type
Improvement

Suggestion scope
Zombies

Suggestion description
As you know, Zombie movement without any skill bonuses costs 2 AP. As such, any zombie can currently spend 51 AP in one session - you can move when you only have 1 AP remaining, and your AP total will be reduced to -1. I suggest this bug be fixed - your AP should never fall below zero. That means that zombies without the necessary movement skill will not be able to move until they have at least 2 AP saved up.

For reference, this is what I'm looking at right now:

"You are Jedi Black. You have -1 Action Points remaining."

Keep Votes

  1. Keep - In response to the spams: If other situations allow it, then fix those as well. If you don't have 20 AP available to manufacture a syringe, then you shouldn't be allowed to. Jedi Black 18:55, 19 September 2007 (BST)
  2. Not bug - But still kinda moronic. This fixes it. BoboTalkClown 21:24, 19 September 2007 (BST)

Kill Votes

  1. Kill Syringe manufacturing lets you go to -19, and revival to -9 if you're stupid and get stranded outside without AP. --Jon Pyre 19:16, 19 September 2007 (BST)
  2. Kill - Explain why this is a bug? --Pgunn 19:57, 19 September 2007 (BST)
This isn't a valid vote - you've given no reasoning behind it. --Jedi Black 20:42, 19 September 2007 (BST)
Yes they have. And if you think this is an invalid vote, take a look at the Spam votes for some of the other Suggestions... --Pavluk A! E! 21:04, 19 September 2007 (BST)

Spam/Dupe Votes

  1. Spam - this isn't a bug, it's a game mechanic. Other situations allow your AP to go negative as well, such as using a Revivification Syringe. No need to alter this really. --Pavluk A! E! 16:38, 19 September 2007 (BST)
  2. Spam - As Pavluk. --Midianian|T|T:S|C:RCS| 16:41, 19 September 2007 (BST)
  3. Spam egg spam spam bacon and spam - As Pavluk said, this is a feature, not a bug. Plus, survivors can abuse this much more than zombies: clicking Manufacture Syringe at 1 AP puts you at -19 AP. I really don't think you're in a position to complain, here. ᚱᛁᚹᛖᚾ 16:47, 19 September 2007 (BST)
  4. spammy - It's not a bug, as others have said. As a survivor, I can go into negative AP through say reviving, or spending 20 AP to manufacture a syringe... This is part of the game mechanics and can actually be used tactically. Sorry... doesn't need fixing. --WanYao 19:13, 19 September 2007 (BST)
As I said in my keep vote, this should be fixed for every action - if you don't have the AP to spend, you shouldn't be allowed to spend it. --Jedi Black 20:42, 19 September 2007 (BST)
  5. Spam - Just not needed.-- dǝǝɥs ɯɐds: sʎɐʍ1ɐ! 20:36, 19 September 2007 (BST)
  6. Spam - It's a game feature as mentioned above. Also, the change would complicate things for people without enough time to log whenever they want to, like me, giving us an unfair disadvantage. --Matthew Fahrenheit YRCT+1 20:53, 19 September 2007 (BST)
  7. Spam - Allowing people to spend over your available AP is a good thing. --Karlsbad 20:54, 19 September 2007 (BST)
  8. NOoooO - NoooOOO!--  AHLGTG THE END IS NIGH! 22:51, 19 September 2007 (BST)
