Welcome to the wiki

Welcome to the Urban Dead wiki site. If you have any hiccups getting going, our help section should be of some use; or if you need anything in particular, feel free to ask me on my talk page. You might also be interested in the Suggestions section if you're keen on sharing your ideas; and it's a good idea to keep an eye on the admin pages in case you find yourself needing any of the admin services such as deletions or page moves. Strength is just an accident arising from the weakness of others 02:42, 16 August 2010 (BST)

As per this edit summary, I figured this would be the best way to notify you - the "discussion" tab on the page in question is what's being mentioned, just in case it comes up again. Basically, the section you're contending refers to Ridleybank's five-year (and counting) tenure as the home of the largest zombie group in the game, so temporary changes in its status tend not to be considered in light of its overall history - it's probably the only suburb that's consistently in one side's hands (given that ghost towns are rarely considered "survivor-held"). If you want to bring it up on Talk:Ridleybank, then it can be thought out with everyone's input considered. lol snap.--User:Yonnua Koponen/signature2 23:17, 16 August 2010 (BST)

Ridleybank

Ridleybank is historically the centre of zombie strength, and considering it currently has The largest zombie group in the game in residence, it still is. Hence, the statement is correct. If you want to debate and discuss the issue, please do so at Talk:Ridleybank, so that any relevant parties can come and state their opinions, instead of just changing it without consultation.--User:Yonnua Koponen/signature2 23:17, 16 August 2010 (BST)

Please keep the ridleybank page as is for now, discussing changes rather than making them. Ghost Town status', like the rest of the dangermap status', are superficial and temporary, and hence don't change how the community has felt about the suburb for the last 4 years. If the edit war doesn't stop the page will likely be protected, so everyone will lose. --

I dont need to mention that it's a ghost town (I understand the point), but it's still poorly written.

True that, and your grammatical edits were great, but its somewhat obvious that some people here are very reactionary to claims like that, Ridleybank is still a very meaningful place in that regard I guess. -- 23:26, 16 August 2010 (BST)

Well, unfortunately, some people need to get over themselves and accept facts as facts. Life changes, places change, the game changes. Just because certain people have feelings about a topic, doesn't mean feeling should interfer with getting the job done right. Feelings are not right or wrong. It's what we do with them that counts. Their wishes should not control what's posted as that's considered bias and corruption of accuracy. That said, the full level of respect should be placed to the history as well. However, certain people's opinions being catered to/coddled only serves as the root of corruption of these pages true intent.

Anyway, I'll leave it be as it seems that certain content isn't meant to be bettered. However, it's disconcerting that the purveying thought process/feeling about the subject are obviously as stunted as the sentence itself (IE the level of 5 year old). But I digress. I sincerely thank you for the dialogue.

By the way. Just because one Zed group has the largest current community, doesn't mean it was always so (in fact it defintely wasn;t, and the issue is still debatable currently), so it seems that certain people involved in the disagreement belong to this particular Zed group. Unfortuanyle, being biased in favor of that group violates any level of neutrality, and if it's an admin then they shouldn;t be allowed to edit the page at all. In sports there is currently an issue about how a reporter and photographer asked Tim Tebow (Football) for an autograph. This issue is along the same lines. It is considered a "Conflict of Interest" The page itself says it needs to stay NEUTRAL, and if anyone editting it is not so, then they need to leave it be and let someone less biased correct it.

Of course it wasn't. The RRF only came into being a few months after the games creation. Ever since, it has been the strongest horde in the city. And yes, I am in that group, but I think 90% of the players in the game would agree that the RRF is the biggest (stats page?) group in the game, and still maintains a hold on Ridleybank.-- Adward  21:39, 17 August 2010 (BST)

If you continue these edits

I'm taking you to arbitration. What that means is that a neutral arbitrator picked by us will decide what the result is. In the meantime, no edits are permitted to the page in question. And if you continue, we'll protect the page so you can't edit it. Get it? And because so far it's been everyone against you, I can tell you you don't want to go to arbitration.--User:Yonnua Koponen/signature2 21:22, 17 August 2010 (BST)

Please do. In fact. I'm writing Kevan now. This page smakcs of Zombie bias. It's supposed to be a NEUTRAL page. Any RRF info (aside from rumor, or nominal factoids) are suposed to be posted on GROUP pages. You are a Sysop here and know this. Howveer, I get the discernible feeling you also are WAY to into the Zed portion of gameplay and have lost objectivity. Plsu, it isn't Barhaville to the general pop. You make these changes in an effort to add some kind of relevance just another exchangeable group in a video game. Follow the rules. Stop trying to make the RRF something it's not. It may be a large group, and has it's own storied history, but you are clouding the facts with opinions. I'm writing Kevan now, so think about what I said and start re-editting the pages you've corrupted with your bias. Hopefully, you're Sysop status will be revoked since you can;t seem to do your job even remotely correct.--—The preceding unsigned comment was added by Urban sombrero (talkcontribs) at an unknown time.

Actually, I'm a mainly survivor player, so you're really a laugh a minute. Also, Kevan largely ignores user emails, so don't be surprised if you get no response. And I am doing my job correctly. You don't seem to understand anything about how this wiki runs, so the sysop team has been very considerate with you. That patience is starting to wear thin.--User:Yonnua Koponen/signature2 21:30, 17 August 2010 (BST)
In fact, scanning his contribs, it looks like the last time Kevan even discussed a wiki issue was October 2008, after somebody physically took over the wiki.--User:Yonnua Koponen/signature2 21:33, 17 August 2010 (BST)
The RRF has a barricade plan placed there in the interests of neutrality. It is the only zombie barricade plan in the city, and you're whining about it. Ridleybank is the only suburb in the city that has constantly been in zombie hands,, bar a couple of incidents. Neutrality means giving zombies a say to, and I'd imagine you wouldn't find any ferals against this. It represents zombies. If you take the issue to arbitration, you won't get any support, and only opposition from me and the RRF.-- Adward  21:35, 17 August 2010 (BST)
Dw, he's emailing Kevan. This should be lulz.--User:Yonnua Koponen/signature2 21:39, 17 August 2010 (BST)
I actually (ALMOST) hope it goes to Arbitration. Would be lulzy.-- Adward  21:39, 17 August 2010 (BST)
Well, I'm starting the case if he does it again. Also, while I'm here, Urban Sombrero, you're doign Danger reports wrong. You don't type the manual code, you type: {{User:DangerReport/LOCATION}}--User:Yonnua Koponen/signature2 21:42, 17 August 2010 (BST)
Danger Report Fail! lulz.-- Jerrel tlk (82nd!) (Project Unwelcome!). 21:43, 17 August 2010 (BST)

Gee am I supposed to be hurt by usless pathetic comments like Lulz/Fail. Ouch. I'm hurt. nad the fact it has to go to arbitration just shows how pathetic the sytstem is anyway. It's run by wanna be Communists, and losers who have no better way to play then to use it to PK. and it's LOLZ. LuLike that matters either. LOL Lulz is the definitionof dumbass, and Fail is the definition of worthless. Did you really just try to gang flame me too? LMAO! God you have no life!

PWNT by l33t uB3rZ0r

Right, I'll ignore the massively stupid part of that comment, and skip to the part where you called me a wanna be (should actually be wannabe) Communist, and say that I actually AM a communist, and am hence obviously not offended by your idiotic and, wait for it, biased view against an ideological school of thought.--User:Yonnua Koponen/signature2 21:53, 17 August 2010 (BST)

Actually I'll just call him and decide if it's something that really worth the effort. Dummy. But you're right about him not caring. Why should he? Just deciding if I'm annoyed enough to make it an issue worth poking the hibernating bear is all.

As for this: "The RRF has a barricade plan placed there in the interests of neutrality. It is the only zombie barricade plan in the city, and you're whining about it. Ridleybank is the only suburb in the city that has constantly been in zombie hands,, bar a couple of incidents. Neutrality means giving zombies a say to. It represents zombies."

-Good point. Why isn't that specific comment listed there for clarification? Seems that kind of logical explanation is absent. However, Neutral pages should also just be for general info...on both sides.

And this:

"If you take the issue to arbitration, you won't get any support, and only opposition from me and the RRF" - and that comment shows exactly why the system is corrupt. Hopefully, but I doubt it, someone in the position of true authoirty has a good sense of perspective. If so, then thre will need to be ALOT of re-edits... Doubt that will happen given the corruption though. Whatevs.

And did you really just try to have an air of superiority by stating grammar corrections. Please. It's called Typo dummy. Learn the lingo, then correct 'em silently like is your job. I hunt 'n peck too fast sometimes, but who cares. I',m still smarter. It's nature. :P Typos happen. Now if you really want to measure intelligence, then we can compare the usage of big words. Or maybe I could care less except to step on baby stones, and blah, blah, blah. Can you all really be this dumb? No wonder the world is in such a state. Can;t wait for the 98% wipe. Bye Bye

People are just plain crazy sometimes.--Umbrella-White.pngThadeous OakleyUmbrella-White.png 22:04, 17 August 2010 (BST)
You know the end of 2001 where HAL starts to malfunction and goes off in different directions? That's what I'm reminded of by this. I'm just waiting for "Daisy Bell". Strength is just an accident arising from the weakness of others 22:07, 17 August 2010 (BST)
Umm, Adward isn't a mod, he's just a regular user. I'd wager he's talking from his experience as a leading member of the RRF. The Danger report notice would have happened even if we'd never spoken. Since I just went around fixing your pages, I thought it would be best if you knew that in the future. Also, I won't even go in to intelligence, but you seem to be lacking in most areas. I'm done with you. If you want to talk to me again, make an unwanted edit to that page, and I'll see you on arbies.--User:Yonnua Koponen/signature2 22:08, 17 August 2010 (BST)
Your wager is correct! I'll take bets on the outcome of an arby case. Also, there are fucktons of suburbs with barricade plans that state they are produced and maintained by particular (survivor!) groups. I notice you have no intention of removing those.-- Adward  22:20, 17 August 2010 (BST)

You know to be technical as the majority of his edits are being considered "bad faith." While yes in his eyes they are "good faith" the community doesn't see eye to eye, one could take him to A/VB based on the edits he continues to make despite several members of the sysops team already warning him about the edits he makes.--

Emot-argh.gif 22:15, 17 August 2010 (BST)

No, he's doing it with good (yet stupid) intent, and edit conflicts are always A/A material.--User:Yonnua Koponen/signature2 22:17, 17 August 2010 (BST)
Content not intent. A/A--RosslessnessWant a Location Image? 22:18, 17 August 2010 (BST)
Maybe, but the idea of "good faith vs bad faith" edits, one could bring him to A/VB and push this even if it were to be voted not vandalism, it is a nice wakeup call to said user about how they go about editing the wiki. As I understood it A/A was more for disputes said users are having between each other on pages (as very clearly indicated with Cornholio and his Battle of Krinks pages). -- Emot-argh.gif 22:20, 17 August 2010 (BST)
Well that's why it'd be a quicky arbitration. It is a dispute; it's just that everybody else disagrees with him.--User:Yonnua Koponen/signature2 22:21, 17 August 2010 (BST)

Unfortunately then, the community at large are just stupid, mewling sheep. But that's the nature of the world. The stupid, en masses, tend to stick together even when grossly wrong. Lemmings. Ironically, even the ones who think they are "in thre right", o "more open-minded/cooler" are just lemmings as well. You guys are all wrong, and you just want to kep things they way you like then, rahter then doing them right...and MUCH better. LOL, I don;t care anymore. I've typed myself out. I'll just use the pages, as often as I want, for whatever I want, and won't bother to make things better for no $$. However... I do believe there may be legal precendent regarding administration edits/factual continuity, and the requirements of User-Editted sites to follow certain parameters or lose their corrective status. I'll have to look at the Congress/Wiki court logs. Maybe the site will have to be shut down for overhaul... Should be interesting.

By the way, stating that you're having an arbitration here is like saying you're going to ask a bunch of carnivores if they want to switch to vegetables. Corruption, and bias given the governing majority, precludes fair analysis, or correction of the egregious errors to the literay body as such. To simplify for the stupid: You're a bunch of close-minded, dumb fucks who wouldn;t know Neutrality, factuality, unbias, or balance if it stood up and bit you as a real zombie. Plus, the fact that people are so deeply entrenched here to actually refer to theirselves as Feral or No Feral is really pathetic too. You're god damn human beings, though it seems only barely given the retors, and there is no such things as zombies. Get fuckin lives losers.

All of you...Stupid as Fuck

Let me get this right. You're being a wall-of-text pedant on a wiki for a browser game, and you're the one with a life. You can't sign your posts, spell correctly, parse your paragraphs and sentences, use grammar, or understand basic logic, but we're stupid as fuck. Sure thing, chief. Also please fucking take this to your "Congress" as I need a good chuckle. Strength is just an accident arising from the weakness of others 22:35, 17 August 2010 (BST)
Im with stupid ^ -- Emot-argh.gif 22:36, 17 August 2010 (BST)
Don't like it, leave. Also, Congress have no influence here, because the servers are in england. You and your president are twats (no offense to Barrack or decent Americans, or anybody but this guy).--User:Yonnua Koponen/signature2 22:37, 17 August 2010 (BST)
Fucking hilarious, thanks for the laughs. The game (servers, and Kevan) is located in England, enjoy your lack of power. Enjoy being wrong and laughable. I honestly lol'd.-- Adward  22:39, 17 August 2010 (BST)

Factual Continuity? Good luck with that. I'd be interested to discover how it would apply. --RosslessnessWant a Location Image? 22:38, 17 August 2010 (BST)

Holy CRAP! You remind me of me a while ago. Listen bro, Just listen to the sysops. I used to despise the sysops, but now, Im in a campain to be one. Seriously, we don't need another cornholliiooo.-- Jerrel tlk (82nd!) (Project Unwelcome!). 23:48, 17 August 2010 (BST)
So... i read this out of boredom, and... congress is going to take down a privately owned website steeped in tradition because they follow their own precedent? This reminds me of conservapedia asking the FBI to go arrest some vandals. Also, suburbs pages are all biased pretty much just to survivors, ex: the danger report. --Mikalos209 00:03, 18 August 2010 (BST)
