- Interesting idea. You could also point at Eastonwood with its very large number of NTs and hospitals, and take a look at resident group Malton College of Medicine as an example of a teaching group that has become good at sucking up and educating newly arrived survivors. Practical problem with Woodgate Avenue would be that The Dead 2.0 have had a very tight grip on Dunell Hills for about two years now - a static group with a lot of freshly spawned low-levels would be a buffet, not a force to be reckoned with. -- Spiderzed▋ 14:11, 12 February 2011 (UTC)
How about presenting solutions to the problems listed. A guide should offer more guidence than it presents barriers the reader needs to overcome. Also make the section tegarding MFD less time sensetive. They may have only 21 members now but may have more or less members in the future. That could be as simple as stating "at the time of writing" or by rewriting it to be time neutral. ~ 21:26, 12 February 2011 (UTC)
Why so specific? There's no need to address specific groups unless it's a concrete example of what you're explaining, not where it's not being applied. I'd scrap the use of MFD as an example of anything (other than a waste of time) and just refer to how firefighting is a useful skill to start with. Perhaps also specify that it's a skill that isn't recognsied as great until the game's been played a bit so new firefighters may tend to be secondary alts of players who've already started elsewhere. 22:40, 12 February 2011 (UTC)
- I think its that specific because rillie bank was what got me started on this. (Sadly its not a fire damaged building). I could probably lose the MPD bit. As for the other comment, I;ve never actually seen stats on what class people start as, so I can't really comment on secondary alts. --RosslessnessWant a Location Image? 22:45, 12 February 2011 (UTC)
- It's merely educated supposition. But anecdotally, most new new characters are military, it seems. Also make it prettier. You can do it. 22:47, 12 February 2011 (UTC)
One of the NTs you mention at the bottom of the guide is an active rot relief clinic. I'm not sure if The South Paynterton Aces would like it if a budding group started cading it in hoes of making a scientist baby making factory. There is another NT just 2 blocks fromnthat cemetary, though. I'd be interested to see how many of the TRP clusters are out there. The idea intrigues me and would be inclined to act on the principle. ~ 20:42, 13 February 2011 (UTC)
This all looks very intruiging, and I'm tempted to try it, after reading this. The guide is good.--Yonnua Koponen Talk ! Contribs 12:02, 14 February 2011 (UTC)
Pegton; a case study
I'm going to document some notes here if you don't mind. ~ 16:32, 16 February 2011 (UTC)
Location
Pegton has two TRP clusters. One cluster of Hosptials surrounding Norton Square Railway Station and a cluster of PDs surrounding Bunt Place School. Also plenty of other TRPs very close, specifically 3 factories and two auto repairs in very close proximity and Mitchem Mall in fairly close vicinity. This is pivotal in keeping the clusters lit.
The Clusters
Hostpitals
Feb. 15, 2011 - I arrived in Pegton and found that all three hospitals were lit and caded. Of the three, only St. Matthew's Hostpital was VSB. The others were EHB, despite the barricade plan for the city calling for St. Elisabeth's to be VSB as well. St. Matthew's was bustling with fresh new doctor class survivors [1]. 1SW at St. Siricius's Hospital where cades were EHB, there were only two survivors [2]. It was obvious that spawning was taking place at St. Mat's.
Shortly after I arrived, the cades went up to EHB at St. Mat's, apparently in a attempt to grief the baby survivors that called it home. Norton Square Railway Station, which is an entry point was also overbarricaded. Luckily, Anna Wolf of M.E.R.C.Y. was taking control of the situation and directing people to decade the buildings. I did my part in lowering cades at both St. Mat's and Norton Square RR. It was too late for someone, though. A baby survivor died in the streets because he could not enter any buildings. Poor guy had probably just returned from a FAK run. He still sits outside. Hopefully he knows about Revive Points. There is one 2S of the hospital.
Feb. 16th, 2011 - I begin questioning the inhabitants of St. Mat's. Asking where they go for FAK runs. How often do others show up at the hospitals for healing? I'm starting to worry about the competition for healing. These guys need XP and they don't seem to be finding it easily available to them. The area is pretty safe.
Anna is later PK'd by someone claiming she is a PKer herself. Seemed like an internal conflict. Need to find out how often PKing occurs inside the hospital and if any n00bs have been killed.
A new survivor spawns thanks to the lowered cades. Mike Henning] appears to be a cop, though. It's possible that he spawned at a different location and then moved to the hospital but due to the character creation time, I'd say that he likely spawned at the location. Either that or his very first action with this character was to move to St. Mat's.
Feb. 18th, 2011 - No new docs at St. Mat's as I can see. Cades still standing at VSB. I've decided that the experiment won't really be a success unless I only count brand new accounts that I can be sure spawned on location. Next step is to decade St. Elisabeth's and monitor for a while.
Two people spawned today at St. Mat's today. Tratshot and In Your Face. One is a Doctor and the other a Medic. I wonder if all Medic classes spawn at hospitals. (Inside hospitals for doctors and outside hospitals for medics I believe. --RosslessnessWant a Location Image? 20:44, 18 February 2011 (UTC))
Feb 20th, 2011 - CageOukami spawned. Also another Medic.
Feb 21st, 2011 - Logged on to find another 2 had spawned. gageweyant and James Rehnold, both medics.
I am going to head over to St. Elisabeth's now to conclude this portion of the case study before I prepare myself for AHMH4.
It took me 48 AP to lower cades at St. Elisabeth's from EHB to VHB. Only 3 out of 48 swings of my axe landed. Decading is a drag without help. I'm all alone in this place. Makes me kind of nervous.
Feb 22nd, 2011 - cades at St. Elisabeth's are finally down to VSB and the genny has been freshly fueled. I await new players. I am absolutely the only person here so I'm worried that even if players spawn, they'll seek safety in numbers elsewhere. I changed the spray to Welcome Newbies in hopes that it will be a little more friendly to freshly spawned people.
Feb 23rd, 2011 - doctor bobbeh spawns. Mike Carson comes to help with the experiment.
Ryan Conner] spawns.
PDs
This part of the experiment will likely have to wait until after AHMH4.

Neater, isn't it? Helps to declutter the page. I'd still recommend playing with the colours, maybe, but that's personal taste. 16:31, 16 February 2011 (UTC)
