20070725 Bloody Hands

Serpentious at 18:43, 25 July 2007 (BST)

Suggestion type
Improvement?

Suggestion scope
PKers

Suggestion description
The PKs seem to get away with murder, literally. Well, in a zombie apocalypse, who has time to clean up after murdering their fellow survivirs? I request that any who kills another living player become bloodspattered, and visible as a different color, or symbol by the name. This won't STOP PKs completely, as those who kil PKs will be marked too, but, at least it keeps them from hiding anonamously.

Keep Votes

  1. Keep"I request that any who kills another living player become bloodspattered, and visible as a different color, or symbol by the name". Oh. Duh. So, if you kill ANYONE, even zombies, you get bloody hands as well. After all, zombies are living players as well, and you are PKing them. Might be a bit reduntant and useless, and too many people having bloody hands, but heh, trenchies need a boost. Might even be flavourable. Sure. Especially if this applies to zeds as well. They should get bloody hands. Oh wait, the suggestion calls for anyone to get Bloody Hands. So zombies do apply as well. Overall, great suggestion. I wonder why everyone is spamming it instead of reading the suggestion and finding out it doesn't apply soley as a nerf to Surivior Killers.--ShadowScope 07:37, 26 July 2007 (BST)

Kill Votes

  1. Kill I bloody hate PK'ers I do.... But there's realy no point in sabotaging their game. You wouldn't like it if you where hampered in killing zombies or whatever.--Seventythree 19:20, 25 July 2007 (BST)
Well, killing Zeds is rather the point in and of the game, as stated. The PKs are people who are choosing to go against that, and, while they are free to, They need to be dealing with repercussions for this 'heinous act' In a time of war, people like that are a menace. --Serpentious 19:34, 25 July 2007
My point is that aulthough I dislike PKing, It is a valid way of playing the game, and definately adds an aura of exitement and paranoia to the thing. PKers already receive only half XP from killing other survivors, we should recognise that people want to play that way sometimes and not impede them for soing so more than they are already. Variety is the spice of life, after all.--Seventythree 12:00, 26 July 2007 (BST)
  2. Kill - Zombies have blood too. Doesn't work on a flavor or fairness level. --Druuuuu 20:41, 25 July 2007 (BST)
Ever see a zombie movie? Zeds tend to bleed black ichor yuk. It's dead blood, and, unless really fresh, like, within a couple hours, it's deoxidized. --Serpentious
  3. Kill PK'ers are annoying, lots of people hate them, therefore people kill PK'ers. But with this suggestion, killing a PK'er would label you as a PK'er causing others to kill you... which really stinks. --I AM TARA 00:17, 26 July 2007 (BST)
  4. kill Ooh look the PKers are awake! they have a point though this makes no sense! PKers are for the most part nothing more than greifers who enjoy trying to spoil the game for others. Getting killed by Red Rum or the like is actually fairly funny so go for it guys, People like Wooty show their true colours with comments like "I dont see what you people find in killing zombies, it barely effects them. Killing players can keep them dead for days in a red suburb." Pathetic on so many levels! Zombies are players too remember? You wanna kill survivors, try playing a zombie and dealing with your victims on a fair playing field! Either that or take the time to wonder if the challeng of being identifiable might actually be fun. --Honestmistake 00:22, 26 July 2007 (BST)
Re - illeigal non author re just to clarify something - Pkers are very identifiable. Very. Very, very. I acutally stopped being a pker because I had to get a revive every day. Pking is hard enough. This suggestion will NEVER get into urband dead, thus the spam vote.--Wooty 05:08, 26 July 2007 (BST) non-author re struck (yes, even if you are trying to make a point)--Ducis DuxSlothTalk 05:05, 28 July 2007 (BST)
RE - Funny, for the short time i played as a PKer i just used to claim i was avenging myself and got away with it... i stopped cos it was dull! Of course i picked my targets carefully so as to reduce the chance of getting caught but still.... --Honestmistake 23:44, 26 July 2007 (BST)
  5. Kill PKing is a part of the game - Kevan has said as much. If you don't like that fact, go play something else Sanpedro 02:13, 26 July 2007 (BST)
  6. I think PKing should be further inhibited. This isn't it. This is killing it.--Pesatyel 02:53, 26 July 2007 (BST)
  7. I LIKE TO FLAME Actually, give constructive crit instead of "HOLY SHIT STOP TRYING TO MESS WITH PKING YOU FUCKING IDIOT!1111!11". Kill, because this won't make sense and bounty hunters will be also marked. Glenstone 04:43, 26 July 2007 (BST)
  8. Kill There are already ways to track down PKers. This also doesn't work from a logical standpoint. Killing zombies would also cover people in blood. Stick to the PK lists. --Obsidian 18:46, 26 July 2007 (BST)
  9. Kill What part of "KEVAN DOES NOT INTEND TO REMOVE PK'ING" did you not understand? Nalikill 14:25, 28 July 2007 (BST)
  10. Kill As others have pointed out, PKing is part of the game and Kevan doesn't discourage it. This suggestion just boils down to 'I don't personally like the way some people play and I think they should be penalised for not playing the way I do'. Turkmenbashi
  11. Kill Right, like everyone else said, PKing wouldn't make a different color blood or anything, PKers are legitimate players, albeit disliked and something made to hurt them is wrong, and there's a bunch of PK lists up. --Howard Bentley 04:53, 3 August 2007 (BST)
  12. Kill - NOOOOOO! Nuh said... --Your friendly neighbourhood psychopathc, Lord Evans 19:21, 10 August 2007 (BST)

Spam/Dupe Votes

  1. Spam - read here --Duke GarlandTLCD SSZ 19:35, 25 July 2007 (BST)
Oh, I'm fully aware it's on the requested list, but, remeber, those arent automatically discounted, they're just weighed heavily before being taken into consideration Serpentious
re: Requested list? it's frequently suggested list. If you were aware it's frequently suggested and shot down, then why did you even put this on voting? --Duke GarlandTLCD SSZ 09:56, 26 July 2007 (BST)
  2. Spam - Kevan's OK with PKing and as one of my characters is a member of a death-cult, I'm ecstatic about that. --The Hierophant 21:40, 25 July 2007 (BST)
  3. Spam - Marking PKers is a no-no, and it's been suggested many times before. Besides, PKing can be fun! --Vault 22:24, 25 July 2007 (BST)
  4. OH NOES BLOOD!!! - See Clothes then eat barrel.--Karekmaps?! 22:58, 25 July 2007 (BST)
  5. FTWUNICORNS So if I Killed a pker I would be in turn killed for being a pker? I would be 'marked'? I dont see what you people find in killing zombies, it barely effects them. Killing survivors can keep them dead for days in a red suburb. Pkers only bother you because there are so many of them, totally ultra-nerfing pking would make a lot of people verrryy angry. Possibly on strike II. Also, this would make greifing VERY easy, because if you killed the guy who smashed your barricades, you would be marked... WITH BLLOOOOOOD! If you want this too pass, you'll have to include oil splatters and wood splinters... and those create even more stupid idiocy and loopholes! This suggestion is poo! Also, being killed gets blood on you too...--Wooty 23:14, 25 July 2007 (BST)
  6. Get out. Now. - Seriously, people need to stop trying to get rid of PKing, and stop trying to mess with it. The PK system is fine right now, and it's going to be there forever, so stop crying "Mommy, mommy, somebody just PKed me". You have enough of the hypocritical bounty hunters as it is, so be happy with what you have. Grab a tissue, dry your eyes, and get over it.-- dǝǝɥs ɯɐds: sʎɐʍ1ɐ! 00:25, 26 July 2007 (BST)
  7. Spam - Pking is just as valid as your preferred style of play. Also, given that its a zombie apocalypse, everyone would be spattered with blood, from themselves, their comrades, and from the decaying zombies that are trying to eat them (And sometimes succeeding). The fact of the matter is that not knowing who might be a Pker deepens the atmosphere of the game, and is part of the air of chaos in a city gone mad because the dead decided to get up, go for a walk, open your mail, rummage through your fridge and eat your brains. In such chaos, hundred of people would be able to get away with murder very easily indeed, especially considering there is no real police force. Use Pk lists to track down and get your revenge, and stop trying to cripple PKing. --Grim s-Mod U! 04:50, 26 July 2007 (BST)
  8. Spam - Does not compute. --Midianian 10:28, 26 July 2007 (BST)
  9. Open it up, get on the floor, everybody walk the dinosaur That's the thing. You're supposed to not be aware of who's going to kill you in your sleep. What, are the OOC message boards, watchlists, Greasemonkey scripts, and what have you not effective enough? Kalir FTW! Z/S UD Potato Words 20:56, 26 July 2007 (BST)
  10. Spam - Vote changed to spam since Shadowscope pointed out this would apply to every player who killed a survivor. That means if you've ever killed a survivor then you are labeled for life. You can't be an ex-zombie now playing as a survivor because now you are a 'PKer'. And surely the PKer could just wash their hands? This suggestion doesn't achieve what it intends to. 'arm. 01:51, 27 July 2007 (BST)
  11. Spam - The system works fine. And when there is demand, third party systems pop up, like DEM's list of PKers and bounties. The current system is fine and it is a validated way of playing the game. Even Kevan said so. --Ducis DuxSlothTalk 05:05, 28 July 2007 (BST)
Spork - even if we wanted to somehow slow down PKers a bit, this is a silly way to do it. 'besides, being "red-handed" already exists: it's called a screenshot. and screenshots just got a lot easier and more accessible with Iwitness. Unsigned vote struck. 'arm. 07:12, 1 August 2007 (BST)
  12. Spam - PKers are allowed. Auto-marking them is bad. --Heavy DDR 04:10, 2 August 2007 (BST)
  13. There is no answer for PKing. And plus, Bounty Hunters are PKers also. --•▬ ▬••▬ • •••• •▬ ▬•▬• ▬•▬ #nerftemplatedsigs 05:15, 7 August 2007 (BST)
  14. Spam - Someone didn't read the frequently suggested (and shot down) nor did they get the point of The Scarlet Letter. Its a good read, pick it up sometime. --Dipcup 02:07, 11 August 2007 (BST)
  15. Spam - I would vote keep, but only if every GKer got grease on their hands, every RKer got...uh...bits of radio on their hands, and every Trenchcoater was forced to wear a trenchcoat. -- Pavluk 12:50, 12 August 2007 (BST)
