20070527 Dead Body Differentiation (v2)

Duke GarlandTLCD SSZ 22:32, 27 May 2007 (BST)

Suggestion type
Skill, Zombie Hunter tree

Suggestion scope
Survivors, Information

Suggestion description
I ran upon this undecided suggestion while cycling and i quite liked the idea, so i decided to make a spin-off. There is quite a lot of ways body can appear in game and at this time the only distinguishable way is number of revived in bodies pile for players that have (crossovered) Scent Death skill. This suggestion also makes possible to know number of headshoted.

New Skill in Survivors' Zombie Hunters section, child of Headshot - Dead Body Differentiation. Standard 100XP cost.

When player is in block with bodies - there's an extra button Examine Bodies. Clicking on it (1 AP) gives information:

  • You examine bodies and find out that X of them have general cerebral damage

X is number of headshooted zombies in block. As well as in Scent Death you only get number, you cannot distiguish players from your contacts.

What for? For example this gives player possibility in siege situation to know odds. If harmanz are winning - there are more headshoted, if otherwise - there are less. Information won't be precise, as killing survivors might not all had the headshot skill. However gives something to consider.

  • Note: name is awfull and should be changed...

Keep Votes

  1. Keep with change Call it autopsy and make it a science skill. Other than that seems pretty reasonable, not too powerful but not useless either. --Magentaine 23:02, 27 May 2007 (BST)
    • Re - i think it should require headshot for obvious reasons. besides, zombie hunting tree is tiny as for now. --Duke GarlandTLCD SSZ 09:50, 28 May 2007 (BST)

Kill Votes

  1. Kill - I can see no practical use for it, other than to destroy the moral of feral hordes -- boxy T L ZS Nuts2U DA 01:11, 28 May 2007 (BST)
  2. Kill - As above except, for the moral of feral hordes thing. --Sonofagun18 10:03, 28 May 2007 (BST)
  3. Kill - If people are lazy to stand up or are sleeping, that could break the odds of the siege. --JudeMaverick W! TJ! Talk Zzz... P! 10:46, 28 May 2007 (BST)
Re: - It's useless to me and the dead body might not be related to the siege. Just like what boxy said, there is indeed no practical use. --JudeMaverick W! TJ! Talk Zzz... P! 11:22, 28 May 2007 (BST)
  4. Kill - No practical effects.--Vista +1 12:24, 28 May 2007 (BST)
  5. Kill - Useless info with the only purpose of boasting trenchie's morale. No-no. --Matthew Fahrenheit YRCT+1 00:53, 2 June 2007 (BST)
