Description

Maltonhospitals.PNG

St. Isidore's Hospital is a hospital located in the suburb of Paynterton. St. Isidore's Hospital is the most northwestern-most hospital of the three located in Paynterton.

Historically, St. Isidore's Hospital was a former leading hospital in tuberculosis research and treatment within Malton when the hospital was first built in 1959. In the years prior to the "Malton Incident" however city funding cuts had drastically reduced the hospital's research budget as downsizing, caused in no small part due to the opening of Leo General Hospital. This would have eventually led to the closing of the hospital itself had not the zombie plague swept through the suburb before that could happen. Post-incident the hospital was converted into a safe house for survivors, offering both medical treatment and shelter.

Mandate

The staff at St. Isidore's Hospital try to always support the following ideals:

1) To provide medical assistance to anyone and everyone who enters.
2) To cure the infected.
3) To keep its doors open to lower level survivors, if possible.

It is asked that survivors please note whether or not there is a portable generator within the hospital, and whether it has fuel or not. As a working portable generator is required for the Surgery skill it is asked the survivors provide support by replacing either the generator when destroyed or refilling its fuel supply when its exhausted. This in turn will allow the medical staff to provide more efficient aid to the injured.

Current Events

  • October 18th, 2016: Building is ruined with two zombies inside. Squideshi (talk) 03:23, 19 October 2016 (UTC)
  • December 7th, 2010: The hospital is currently extremely heavily barricaded, with a few people in it regularly. Generator is running, and there is only one zed outside. --Belgaer 11:25, December 7th 2010 (GMT)
  • October 12th, 2009: The hospital is in good shape, and has been for at least the past few days. The barricade has remained steady at very strong and the generator is being kept well stocked with fuel. There are several treatment specialists on call - from doctors to medics to regular civilians trained in first aid procedure - and many well armed defenders. Spirits are high, and at least one survivor has taken to decorating the waiting room with sculptures. We might just make it out of this alive! --Jim North 02:48, 13 October 2009 (BST)
  • November 6th, 2008: The hospital is down, being ruined. The Militant_Order_of_Barhah invaded Paynterton badly, the suburb is going to "Very Dangerous" status at full throttle.
  • March 18th, 2008: The hospital is fine. Caded at VHB and powered up. The surrounding area is quite calm. -- Asdomar 11:31, 19 March 2008 (UTC)
  • January 2nd, 2008: The hospital has fallen. Only the doors remain to seperate the living from the undead. Numbers of survivors/undead inside are unknown. --Noah Kling
  • December 31st, 2007: Anyone in the area, please assist. There are three zeds in the building, five outside and numbers are increasing. Only four defenders left and barricades are deteriorating. Please hurry before it is too late -- Noah Kling
  • December 27th, 2007: St. Isidore's Hospital is survivor controlled and well barricaded. It is kept up and running, with a generator, a room of stuffed animals "borrowed" from a nearby museum, and numerous other survivors to keep you company as you hear the zombies lurching outside in the night and protect you from the rogue zombie intruder while you sleep. Being a hospital, there are first-aid kits, and survivors with doctor training. There are the random break-ins by lone zombies, but nothing major has happened recently.
