The Dakerstown Republic occupies the suburb of Dakerstown, located in the northwest corner of the city. Historically Dakerstown has been the scene of sporadic fighting between revolutionary forces and the fascist group IWM. On the brink of defeat the IWM joined forces with the zombie horde Extinction; While ardent Leftists settled in for a grueling campaign of revolutionary war.

A worker's Republic is established in Dakerstown

From humble beginnings, the Republic of Dakerstown has emerged as a bastion for the leftists of Malton. Acting to this affect stalwart revolutionaries such as the Urban Guerillas and FUACK have fought along side the people of Dakerstown through its harshest trials. Initially the struggle for a free Dakerstown consisted of the routine removal of zombies; before long the reactionary group, the IWM became the first major obstacle to progress. A series of battles culminating with the North West War led to the destruction of the IWM as a effective fighting force. Despite the loss die-hard fascists continued the fight using increasingly barbaric tactics; at one point briefly joining the undead horde Extinction, before being caught and executed.

During Extinction's two year occupation of Dakerstown Urban Guerillas and FUACK fighters scrambled through ruined buildings in the mostly abandoned suburb, endlessly harassing Extinction and fighting several pitched battles for the Pask Building. During the particularly cold winter of 2010 a major offensive was mounted by survivors in Dakerstown, driving Extinction from the heart of their own area of operations. Under these conditions the Dakerstown Republic was declared.
