The General

I have been here since the 26th November 2005, and i've made over 650 edits and I am currently working on a suggestion on the discusion page which will be posted on the main suggestions page some time in the next couple of weeks. I've been hanging around the suggestions page for a while voting on suggestions and discusing policy so most of you should know me. I have also been cycling the suggestions pages whenever I can. I think the main arguament against me would probably be that I can be slightly sharp with people posting bad suggestions. All in all, I would very much like to be a moderator and think that I would make a good addition to the moderating team.--The General 13:54, 28 March 2006 (GMT)

  • I am willing to vouch for the General, Active, quite respectful (even to people who post bad suggestions), and level headed. not a person to start or even be a part of drama. Tries to level down the tone of the suggestions page when tempers flair. His work as an arbitrator shows him able to make evenhanded discisions that are well excepted. I believe that his disposition whould make him not the most colourful moderator, but good and fair one.--Vista W! 18:56, 28 March 2006 (BST)
  • I too am willing to vouch for this person. He has a level head and is a person i can trust to be impartial in any ruling, both of which are essentail traits for a moderator. Of course, i did steal the suggestions page cycling off him a month ago when he forgot to do it for a couple of days (Probably because he was busy). --Grim s 04:50, 29 March 2006 (BST)
    • Yeah, I was really busy at the time but i've got more time now. I would be happy to go back to helping cycle the pages now.--The General 08:04, 29 March 2006 (BST)
      • No thanks. Believe it or not, i actually enjoy doing it. Still havent figured out why that is. --Grim s 13:36, 29 March 2006 (BST)
        • I never worked out why I like doing it either. I just occupy myself with moving the previous days suggestions to their correct places. I wish people would either move the entire days suggestions or just leave them on the page to be moved in full, it's a pain when some suggestions are moved to peer reviewed while others aren't.--The General 13:54, 29 March 2006 (BST)
  • I vouch for this candidate for the reasons stated above and more. I also vouch for this candidate without expectation of any benefit from it. I'm here, I like the guy, I think he's level-headed and would make a good Mod - so why not vote? (Yes, I know I'm paranoid.) -- Amazing 05:18, 29 March 2006 (BST)
  • Seems to be able to be impartial and level headed. Doesn't take part in wiki-dramas. So, yes, perfect mod material. --Brizth W! 19:40, 29 March 2006 (BST)
  • Well in order to avoid any greasing of the palms if you will during our current Arbitrtion concerning Grim vs Zombie Squad I feel inclined to vouche for ye old General as well for moderator--Skeletor 23:44, 30 March 2006 (BST)
    • If i thought for a second that by vouching for him i would get him to side with me i would not have done it. --Grim s 16:27, 9 April 2006 (BST)
  • Good guy, helps out a lot. Level head. --Zaruthustra-Mod 16:20, 31 March 2006 (BST)
  • Sure. Seems level enough. MaulMachine 13:48, 5 April 2006 (BST)
  • For what i could see about his work in this wiki, TG will do a good job as moderator. --hagnat talk 22:02, 5 April 2006 (BST)
  • Vouching--Irishmen 22:06, 5 April 2006 (BST)
  • Vouch with no Ouch. V-Squad, roll out! --Karlsbad 01:09, 6 April 2006 (BST)
  • Just a standard questionnaire... (yes, I know you answered this last time. Humour me...) -- Odd Starter talkModW! 01:16, 6 April 2006 (BST)
    • What Moderator duties do you see yourself focusing on, as a rule?
    • How do you react to criticism online?
    • What is your current attitude to the moderators, as a group?
    • Have you had any previous position of responsibility in any other online communities, and if so, elaborate?
    • As a rule, I would focus on the suggestions page as there is always something which needs doing there. But I think the arbitration page also needs to be concentrated on.
    • To tell you the truth I haven't really recieved much critisicm but I would be happily take construtive critisicm and try to learn from it.
    • I think the moderators do a good job and I don't have any complaints about them.
    • I have started a forum which is here.--The General 11:41, 6 April 2006 (BST)
  • He gets my vote. As Zaruthustra said, he's level headed and he has been doing a lot for the wiki. --Nov W!, Talk 12:52, 7 April 2006 (BST)
  • Vouch. Conndraka 18:57, 12 April 2006 (BST) After reviewing the Arbitration page, The General deserves consideration. His efforts in reverting of Vandalism are espescially appreciated.
  • I voted for him once,I will vote for him again. He is a great guy. --Penance 20:47, 12 April 2006 (BST)
