Origins

A discussion on strategy and tactics started a rallying cry for survivors across Malton to work together on the same goal.

The Alliance 45 is a task force made up of a number of survivor groups and was born from the Joint Forum of the New Malton Colossus (NMC). Spearheaded by Tony Blair of the Cannonball Crew as the chief tactical leader and adviser and Leon Silverblood as the chief administrator and coordinator, the Alliance 45 has developed and put into practice innovative strategies and tactics to deal with some of Malton's most hotly contested suburbs.

Tony Blair, legendary leader of the Cannonball Crew is credited with founding the alliance by inspiring the then unknown Leon Silverblood with a post on strategy. Leon later formed an alliance that would grow to become Alliance 45 and Tony would become their chief strategist, masterminding many of the A45's assault plans.

Organization & Structure

All groups are encouraged to send representatives to participate in the planning, discussion and execution of group activities.

Intel is shared among all members and each group is free to decide on its own course of action , Requests to join an operation and suggestions as to the best tactical method for that operation are dispatched daily to members, however each group is encouraged to use its best judgment and there are no orders per se. The following groups have sent members, detachments and even their entire forces:

Alliance 45 capitalizes on the structure already in place in its member groups. Objectives are agreed upon and assigned to groups as a whole and they are left to their own devices to achieve them with no interference, if possible. This eliminates the need for additional leadership or any hierarchy whatsoever within the alliance.

There are, however, certain roles/positions which have been filled voluntarily by those best suited to the position.

Captain BoSS, leader of the 41st Death Commandos showed his political and networking abilities early on and is the Alliance's ambassador to many groups. He is also a trusted adviser to Leon.

Tony Blair, leader of the Cannonball Crew, has laid the initial framework of many of the Alliance's assaults and is widely recognized as the strategic mastermind of Alliance 45. He is the most active member of the Alliance's think-tank and is at the core of their battlefield success.

If there were ever a void of leadership to be filled in the Alliance, these two would do best to take it on together. Captain Boss's skills as a mediator and his ties to most member groups would help ensure consensus and the thorough dispatching of plans and updates. Tony's strategic skills would ensure that operations were successful in the field, provided he made use of all allied power. With these conditions satisfied, all that would be left then would be to keep the Alliance focused and goal-oriented.

Current Activities

Operation: Episode II - Ongoing as of May 25th, 2009

This operation began as an zerger hunt but became a suburb defense effort when the group stopped fighting the zergers after a couple of weeks of attacks. When the Echo teams moved to regroup in Pescodside they found a small survivor effort to retake the local NTs. The Echo teams split up and helped retake a number of resource buildings and NTs. Our allies capitalized on the reinforcements by pushing North to take Treweeke Mall. Eventually the zeds rallied and drove the survivors back from the mall and other NTs. The survivor groups have since stopped the zed counterattack and are working on retaking the land lost.
