Malton College of Medicine is a survivor group dedicated to teaching newcomers to Malton how to stay alive in a zombie apocalypse. Its faculty, staff and students are busy, visible and vocal participants in the life of Eastonwood and, when its friends and allies need help, elsewhere in Malton. MCM aims to support its local community by healing the wounded, reviving the unwillingly undead, and by maintaining and defending vital resource buildings. Alongside its programme of lectures, classes and informal instruction in the mechanics, strategies, anthropology, psychology and ethics of life in Malton, MCM aims to provide a cheerful sanctuary for all its visitors, who will be greeted with cookies, a well stocked bar, incessant chatter and sudden bursts of karaoke.

Location
Normally located in St. George's Hospital (Greentown) at (31, 71), (but not now; we're on a field trip!) Malton College of Medicine's primary mission is to educate new survivors about how to stay alive in a post-apocalyptic world.  MCM serves the medical needs of the Greentown/Brooksville/North & South Blythville area, educates MCM students, and provides an atmosphere of support and encouragement, all with a healthy dose of humor. Degrees offered include MD, ZhD, RN, BS, and BA, as well as EMT certification. Located in the northwest corner of Greentown, MCM is able to assist survivors in four different suburbs.  MCM is also conveniently close to Marven Mall and Pippard Necrotech Building.

Malton College of Medicine got its original grant from 10 minutes from hell, but outgrew the sub-group structure. Both groups are now separate, but remain close allies.
The main MCM campus is St Simon's Hospital in Eastonwood. Unless the hospital is under siege, it will be enterable from the street at all times, so that exhausted survivors, and newcomers who haven't yet learned the art of free-running, can find safety there. Long-term residents and students in need of a quiet place to sleep, study, and work can make their way to St Anselm's Hospital next door. MCM takes responsibility for the security of St Anselm's, and maintains its barricades at the highest level. MCM conducts research and holds bustling laboratory classes in the Tryme Building NecroTech, two blocks south of St Simon's, where it also runs a revivification clinic for zombies with brain rot who wish to breathe again. Zombies who have not yet succumbed to brain rot will be revived by MCM scientists at the cemetery adjacent to the hospital.

Community involvement
MCM is fortunate to be situated in a suburb rich in resources: there are four hospitals, six NecroTech Buildings, two police stations and three factories in Eastonwood. For those looking to do some weekend shopping, St Simon's Hospital is equidistant from Bale Mall and Caiger Mall. And for those who like a little edge in their nightlife, there are rumours - there are always rumours - that Club Vagg, on the border with Darvall Heights, has opened its doors once more.

Students at MCM are encouraged to be active in the community by healing and reviving, defending buildings under assault, and cheering up the downtrodden.  Faculty and staff are busy, visible, vocal participants in the local community. MCM faculty and students assist the Brain Rot Revive Clinic in maintaining the Nicols Avenue revive point. Revive requests can be made using the DEM tool. The main MCM campus at St. George's Hospital is maintained at VSB++ to allow entry for free running except during sieges. The posh residence hall next door, (recently redecorated with all new furnishings), is a former warehouse, and serves as a study area where students can retreat when in need of a quiet space. Nearby cinemas, Smallwood and Robins, are popular hangouts for students taking a break from their studies and the site of occasional after-hours parties.

Our first lecturers were the wild and wacky Malton Medical Staff from Roftwood, specialists in humor and healing! They gave lively lectures and goofed off with us for several days. MMS also did a repeat lecture series in September of 2008. Thank you, MMS!

Malton College of Medicine

Malton College of Medicine has completed its six-month field trip. We have visited friends, restored ruined suburbs, toughed it out in sieges and baked cookies for all-comers. But while we were travelling, the students, faculty, and staff of MCM fell in love with the suburb of Eastonwood, and we are now settling into a new home. Come and visit MCM at St Simon's Hospital in Eastonwood.
