Welcome to the Northwest News Corporation!

The Basics

Our goal:

The purpose of the NNC is simple: to report the news in the nine suburbs of Shuttlebank, Eastonwood, Quarlesbank, Gatcombeton, Brooke Hills, Yagoton, Darvall Heights, West Boundwood, and East Boundwood, as well as to relay messages people might have for those suburbs.

Radio frequency:

The frequency on which we will be broadcasting is 27.01Mhz. This is where all of the news will be reported, so please tune in!

Corporate Headquarters and broadcasting stations:

Our corporate headquarters is located in The Buckrell Building in South Shuttlebank, and will always have one or two NNC members in the immediate area.

We maintain broadcasting stations throughout the nine suburbs, which we will keep barricaded, powered, and supplied with radio transmitters tuned to 27.01Mhz. They will be located on buildings with mobile phone masts, since such buildings have already optimized for mass communication. If these locations fall, secondary stations will be erected as soon as is feasible.

There will be medical staff stationed at each broadcast center. While their primary goal is to tend to NNC employees, their services will also be made available to members of the general public.

Want to have a news report broadcasted?

Simply email us at NCCUD@hotmail.com, and will we broadcast whatever you wish after our main news broadcast for the day has been concluded! This can quite literally be anything, from group recruitment advertisements to declarations of love for someone else, we will broadcast it regardless!

Daily News for February 17th, 2012

Shuttlebank: Shuttlebank has begun to recover from a two week zombie rampage. A good amount of buildings are still down, but the South Shuttlebank City Council and other survivors are rapidly reclaiming the suburb, although survivor numbers are still low.

Eastonwood: The north-central parts of the suburb seem to be doing quite well. A few scattered zombies here and there, with a horde of about six camping outside a police department in the Central-East portion of the suburb. Our news team did not extensively survey the southern portion and thus cannot speak for it.

Quarlesbank: Generally seems to be fine aside from the lone zombie loitering here and there.

Gatcombeton: Calvert Mall is up, though scarcely populated. Zombie numbers appear to be low as of this report.

Brooke Hills: The Southern Half of Brooke Hills is under assault by a zombie horde numbering between eleven and twenty. St. Wulfstan's Hospital has been overrun, as was our broadcasting center in The Norvell Building. Luckily, our staff managed to escape just as the zombie horde broke through.

Yagoton: Bale Mall is secure and there does not appear to be a single ruined building in the suburb. There seems to be some sort of player killing going on, but whether it is organized or not remains to be seen.

Darvall Heights: Caiger Mall has fallen as has the Latrobe Building to a horde of 45-75 zombies. Survivors numbers seem to be roughly equal with groups such as the Soldiers of Crossman and OcUK fighting that horde.

West Boundwood: A cursory inspection seems to indicate that the suburb is sparsely populated, either by zombies or by humans.

East Boundwood Much like West Boundwood, nothing particularly special seems to be happening in this suburb at the moment, at least in its southern reaches.
