If you're looking for more specific information, please have a look at our other pages using our subpages navigator. Who are we? The Blackhawk Nation is a survivor group in Malton, based in and around the suburb of Vinetown in eastern Malton. The Blackhawk Nation intend to make life difficult for the local PKers and ferals. Due to the varying numbers of prey in Vinetown, some units are occasionally seen far into hostile territory. We are divided into three divisions - Guajiros, Homeland Defence, and Rangers. The different divisions are organized very differently to work as efficiently as possible. Our medics are able to provide revives and heals whenever needed, while our Guajiros, Revolutionaries, and Rangers bring swift death to the infected and corrupted. Why join us? If you're new to the game you will learn tactics and have a team to back you up when you need. If you're already a veteran, you'll get to play Urban Dead in a new way, in cooperation with many other experienced players and/or you can help mentor the new players on the team. Our numbers are constantly rising. The Blackhawk Nation is growing and is a force to be reckoned with. As a Guajiro You are a part of the peasant militia. Have the benefits of a group without the restrictions imposed by many other groups. No officers: You can do whatever you want to, as long as it benefits the Blackhawk Nation. But still: You are part of a great survivor group, you have a "hometown", you have the opportunity to participate in operations, you have other players watching your barricades while you sleep, and you'll learn of the zombie hordes approaching before they strike. As a Revolutionary in the Homeland Defence Get a home: Revolutionaries are assigned to a zone-guarding division, which is a stationary unit. Sometimes you will have orders, and sometimes you will not: In times of peace and high barricade levels, you're free to do whatever you want to do. Metagaming: You should check the forums about 2-3 times a week, although, of course, you're free to be more active if you want to. Join some competitions: Every now and then, competitions are held in the Blackhawk Nation. Graduate! When you have acquired all the survivor skills, have more than 100 forum posts, and you have been in the Blackhawk Nation for two weeks or more, you'll become a Freedom Fighter. Unlike the easily achieved PFC rank in most other groups, a Blackhawk Nation Freedom Fighter is a person worthy of the highest respect. As a Ranger Take a challenge: We expect you to become one of the finest and most disciplined soldiers in Malton. See Malton: The Rangers are not only stationed in the Blackhawk Nation area, but are also sent on missions far into hostile territory. Bounty hunting: A major part of your life as a Ranger is spent hunting PKers and zed spies. X:00 tactics: Several players logging on at the same time means a good opportunity for cooperation, plus a devastating effect in combat. Meet new friends: The close cooperation of the Rangers gives you the opportunity to make new friends and work together. How to Join If you would like to join us, post a link to your UD profile here, and change your UD profile group tag to "Blackhawk Nation". New members become Guajiros. You may apply to join the Homeland Defence and become a Revolutionary after having been a member for at least one week, and you can also work your way up to the elite and a spot as one of our Rangers. General News July 2, 2008 The Rangers complete yet another mission, "Happy Hunting." People who were on our KOS list and zombie spies were the targets of this operation. For one month, the Rangers hunted down and exterminated those who have become our enemies. The operation proved to be a great success as we noticed a considerable difference on the streets as this operation came to an end. Those on the KOS list and zombies spies came to know that the Blackhawk Nation territory is not a home for them and they are not welcome. And that if they insist on being in the area, we will give them what they deserve. September 18, 2008 The Blackhawk Nation took part in the Malton Uprising. This was an uprising against the DEM. We cleared the Blackhawk Nation homeland and the suburb of Vinetown of all DEM members. We actively sought out DEM members and put them down. We let them know that they don't control everyone. We let them know that they don't make all the rules. We got our point across and the DEM members in the area now realize that we are a force to be reckoned with. November 7,2008 The Rangers took part in the Crusade '08. The Crusade began on October 20th in Rhodenbank. We rolled through the SW corner of Rhodenbank and cleared it in one day. We moved on with the Crusade and the next target was Dulston. We went into Dulston on the 21st of October and concentrated on the NW corner of the suburb. We spend six days there fighting against the zeds. We were instrumental in clearing the NW corner of Dulston. On the 27th of October we moved on to Pescodside. Once again we targeted the NW corner of the suburb. We were able to clear it in only one day. On the 28th of October we moved on to Dunningwood. And in one day, we cleared the NW corner of Dunningwood. On the 29th of October, we moved to Pitneybank with the Crusade. And in one day, we cleared the NW corner of Pitney bank. We did some fighting in the SW of Piytneybank, but it was a give and take affair. Every time we gained some ground, the zeds launched a counter offensive and we were pushed back. We headed to Pimbank with the Crusade and retook Tynte Mall. We launched an attack on November 3rd and retook Tynte mall on November 4th. On the 5th of November, the Crusade headed to Ridleybank and began the assault on the heart of the RRF. We did quite a bit of damage in the SE corner of Ridleybank before the unavoidable came. The zeds did not take well to the invasion of their territory and answered back. On the 7th of November, the Crusade came to an end and we headed home. A successful campaign to the red zones had come to the end. But, we gained valuable experience and are looking forward to our next mission.
