If you're looking for more specific information, please have a look at our other pages using our subpages navigator. Who are we? The Blackhawk Nation is a survivor group in Malton, based in and around the suburb of Vinetown in eastern Malton. The Blackhawk Nation intend to make life difficult for the local PKers and ferals. Due to the varying numbers of prey in Vinetown, some units are occasionally seen far into hostile territory. We are divided into three divisions - Guajiros, Homeland Defence, and Rangers. The different divisions are organized very differently to work as efficiently as possible. Our medics are able to provide revives and heals whenever needed, while our Guajiros, Revolutionaries, and Rangers bring swift death to the infected and corrupted. Why join us? If you're new to the game you will learn tactics and have a team to back you up when you need. If you're already a veteran, you'll get to play Urban Dead in a new way, in cooperation with many other experienced players and/or you can help mentor the new players on the team. Our numbers are constantly rising. The Blackhawk Nation is growing and is a force to be reckoned with. As a Guajiro You are a part of the peasant militia. Have the benefits of a group without the restrictions imposed by many other groups. No officers: You can do whatever you want to, as long as it benefits the Blackhawk Nation. But still: You are part of a great survivor group, you have a "hometown", you have the opportunity to participate in operations, you have other players watching your barricades while you sleep, and you'll learn of the zombie hordes approaching before they strike. As a Revolutionary in the Homeland Defence Get a home: Revolutionaries are assigned to a zone-guarding division, which is a stationary unit. Sometimes you will have orders, and sometimes you will not: In times of peace and high barricade levels, you're free to do whatever you want to do. Metagaming: You should check the forums about 2-3 times a week, although, of course, you're free to be more active if you want to. Join some competitions: Every now and then, competitions are held in the Blackhawk Nation. Graduate! When you have acquired all the survivor skills, have more than 100 forum posts, and you have been in the Blackhawk Nation for two weeks or more, you'll become a Freedom Fighter. Unlike the easily achieved PFC rank in most other groups, a Blackhawk Nation Freedom Fighter is a person worthy of the highest respect. As a Ranger Take a challenge: We expect you to become one of the finest and most disciplined soldiers in Malton. See Malton: The Rangers are not only stationed in the Blackhawk Nation area, but are also sent on missions far into hostile territory. Bounty hunting: A major part of your life as a Ranger is spent hunting PKers and zed spies. X:00 tactics: Several players logging on at the same time means a good opportunity for cooperation, plus a devastating effect in combat. Meet new friends: The close cooperation of the Rangers gives you the opportunity to make new friends and work together. How to Join If you would like to join us, post a link to your UD profile here, and change your UD profile group tag to "Blackhawk Nation". New members become Guajiros. You may apply to join the Homeland Defence and become a Revolutionary after having been a member for at least one week, and you can also work your way up to the elite and a spot as one of our Rangers. General News May 25, 2008 The Rangers have successfully completed their latest mission, "The Liberation of Penny Heights." The Rangers performed an allied operation with the Penny Heights Police Department. They targeted the local resources buildings in the suburb and systematically restored order to this troubled region. They started by clearing Normandere Boulevard Police Department, Hagger Square Fire Station, Deacon Alley Police Department, Adler Crescent Fire Station, and the Craddy Building(NT). They then moved East clearing Langsford Drive Fire Station, Josephine General Hospital, Odo General Hospital, and Lumber Mall. After ten days of fighting, the final strike was made at the Rothwell Building(NT) bringing stability back to the region. June 1, 2008 The Rangers have returned home after another successful mission, "The Liberation of Houldenbank." This was an allied operation with the Black Berets. Once again, the resource buildings were the main targets. Lucius General Hospital was the first target and was liberated quite easily. The Hosken Building(NT), Richard General Hospital, Solomon Lane Police Department, and the Owsley Building(NT) were the next targets. The hospital was taken easily. The other targets were a give and take affair. It turned into a battle of attrition. But in the end, the area was reclaimed from the zombie hordes. After six days of fighting, the Rangers are returning home. July 2, 2008 The Rangers complete yet another mission, "Happy Hunting." People who were on our KOS list and zombie spies were the targets of this operation. For one month, the Rangers hunted down and exterminated those who have become our enemies. The operation proved to be a great success as we noticed a considerable difference on the streets as this operation came to an end. Those on the KOS list and zombies spies came to know that the Blackhawk Nation territory is not a home for them and they are not welcome. And that if they insist on being in the area, we will give them what they deserve. September 18, 2008 The Blackhawk Nation took part in the Malton Uprising. This was an uprising against the DEM. We cleared the Blackhawk Nation homeland and the suburb of Vinetown of all DEM members. We actively sought out DEM members and put them down. We let them know that they don't control everyone. We let them know that they don't make all the rules. We got our point across and the DEM members in the area now realize that we are a force to be reckoned with.
