PRESAGE
In the days which preceded the end of the Malton Quarantine, the Philosophe Knights marshalled their forces and marched upon Roftwood, gathering to them old friends and allies from across Malton's history. Members of the murderous collective Red Rum, the elite Lord Curton's Gentleman's Hunting Club, the steadfast CGR, and valued independent killers all joined the Knights for one final foray against the Ignorant. Descending upon the Herbert Necrotech Laboratory on the 11th of March, this last demonstration left 18 bodies upon the ground, some of whom were revived by those who'd laid them low.
There is a terrible power in finality - a paralyzing, leaden quality to the approach of the end. Death will visit all persons, and thus it is the responsibility of those who have embraced Reason over fear, Wisdom over instinct, and Progress over grief to summon to themselves the strength to face it with dignity and to work diligently to further their goals right to that bitter end. Our works echo out behind us from the past, and our achievements will carry on past us to what lies ahead.
