20070825 Storage Rooms

Suggestion type
Decorations storage
Suggestion scope
Decorations storage
Suggestion description
To clear things up I am NOT suggesting there be storage rooms in which we can store all our guns and ammo. What I am suggesting is that every building will have a storage room that you can store decorations in.
Storing
- To store decorations inside the storage room, you must select a decoration from the new drop down decorations button and select store. Storing a decoration costs 1 ap and you may store a max of 50 decorations inside one storage room. You can store both decorations from your inventory and those on display. Also, you cannot store decorations when the building is ruined/ransacked.
Viewing
- To view the storage room, press the view storage room button and it will say, you are inside the storage room, you see (Insert random decorations) scattered throughout the room, viewing the storage room costs 1 ap.
Taking
- When taking things out of the storage room you have two options,
A. Put it on display (1 ap, not available if maximum number of decorations are already on display)
B. Put it in your inventory which also costs 1 ap.
Destroying
- When ransacked, all decorations in the storage room are destroyed.
Clarification: Zombies do NOT recieve xp for destroying the decorations in the storage room as they cannot attack them directly, only through ransacking can they be destroyed.

Kill Votes
- Kill - Would zombies be able to smash ALL the decorations, including those in storage, to get XP? If you answered "yes" you just made alt-abuse worse. Several survivor alts could stock a building with an assload of decorations, then the main character, a zombie, smashes them all for XP. If you answered "no" then you are saying that the storage room is somehow invulnerable to attack. If this is the case, why aren't YOU hiding in the invulnerable storage room, instead of filling it up with useless items? --Steakfish 05:44, 25 August 2007 (BST)
- Re No to the first one, the storage room isn't invulnerable to attack, the destroying section states that when ransacked all decorations in the storage are destroyed. I considered the alt-abuse potential but decided not to mention that it wouldn't be possible until now.
- Kill – I really don't see the point. ᚱᛁᚹᛖᚾᚨᚾᛏ 07:46, 25 August 2007 (BST)
- Kill - I'm gonna have to say no. Whats the point of having a storage room for extra decor. --Sonofagun18 09:21, 25 August 2007 (BST)
- Kill - needless --~~~~T''' 10:27, 25 August 2007 (BST)
- Kill - So survivors in a zombie apocalypse have the time and inclination to carefully pack and store holiday accouterments? You know, instead of surviving the approaching zombie horde? --the one, the only, sushiknight (talk contribs HARD E.N.D.) 16:46, 25 August 2007 (BST)
- Kill - makes museums largely obsolete -- Pavluk 01:32, 26 August 2007 (BST)
- Kill - all decorations, as far as I'm concerned. A waste of time, and a blight upon the game. Do something productive with your AP, decorators are more of a waste of space than trenchcoaters The preceding signed comment was added by boxy (talk • contribs) at 03:52 26 August 2007 (BST)
- Kill - Doesn't this kinda already exist?--Karekmaps?! 00:23, 27 August 2007 (BST)
- Already, essentially, in the game. They are called MUSEUMS.-Pesatyel 03:02, 29 August 2007 (BST)

- As those above. And where's the spam/dupe section? I just saw something similar in Rejected! And now I can't find it again... --•▬ ▬••▬ • •••• •▬ ▬•▬• ▬•▬ #nerftemplatedsigs 23:10, 6 September 2007 (BST)
- Kill - Stupid. And I found the Spam/dupe section, Steakfish accidentally deleted it when he made his vote. I replaced it though.-- dǝǝɥs oʇ ɯɐds: sʎɐʍ1ɐ! 16:38, 9 September 2007 (BST)
