Suggestion description
Okay, here's an idea for something handy.
Zombies have a loud groan, right? Tells anyone and everyone where they are. You're a Zed, you hear a Zed, you think, Hey, dinner bell!
How about megaphones as a new grabbable item for the living?
There are plenty of police stations, fire stations, stores in the mall, etc. but they seem to only have weapons. There should be megaphones. After all, police & firemen use them, therefore they should still be sitting around those places.
As I see it, they would have a three, four or five block range. People would hear the speaker talking, know the location they're calling from, etc. (Don't ask me how they'd know exactly where the speaker is, but then, how do we know a Zed groan came from precisely 2 blocks south and 3 west?)
It would be great for calling for help, telling people where a mob is attacking, etc. The only downside is the unavoidable percentage of schmucks out there shouting out any lame thing that pops into their heads, much like on the radios, but it's an imperfect world.
So, what's the word boys and girls and others? I mean, it's either that or portable karaoke machines....
BTW, I never even heard of this Nexus War thing, and I don't know what it has to do with megaphones.

Keep Votes
- Keep - I am the author and I am allowed to vote once on my own suggestions. So, I'm voting. Best, --Fordham 00:14, 25 September 2007 (BST)
Kill Votes
- Kill - Would have the same effect of flare guns, zombies would hear you and then hunt you down, ergo a survivor dinner is here call. Could work, would be fun, but i am voting kill because of the inane spam it might cause. But i guess that was the same reason people voted down radios and stuff and... hey, i just found two radios in the armory. --People's Commissar Hagnat [cloned] [mod] 02:11, 25 September 2007 (BST)
- Kill - I hate suggestions that start with the letter "M".-- AHLGTG THE END IS NIGH! 02:20, 25 September 2007 (BST)
- Kill - I have to agree with Anonymous Coward. --Midianian|T|T:S|C:RCS| 07:18, 25 September 2007 (BST)
Spam/Dupe Votes
- Four words: Nexus War seen it! Sockem 00:09, 25 September 2007 (BST)
- Spam - Hard to understand what you mean but it was either removed or exits. If it just marks the spot that would be a flare, just click the flare gun like a usable item and it should shoot into the air. If it is a communications device it would be counter to why you can only talk to 50 people at a time.--Karekmaps?! 00:16, 25 September 2007 (BST)
- Spam Nexuswar has ridiculously shortlived batteries and you STILL get fucking truckloads of SPAM! now you can use 45 AP to spam people?--Wooty 00:26, 25 September 2007 (BST)
- Spam/Dupe - As above, and below. 'arm. 00:31, 25 September 2007 (BST)
- Dupe - mostly replicates this. --Pavluk A! E! 00:52, 25 September 2007 (BST)
- Spam- Flares and feeding groans are more than enough. --Vkkhamul 02:00, 25 September 2007 (BST)
- Dupe - As above. -- John RubinT! ZG 07:19, 25 September 2007 (BST)
- Dupe - it's been suggested many times before. --Sonofagun18 08:07, 25 September 2007 (BST)
- Dupe - Sorry.--Seventythree 08:42, 25 September 2007 (BST)

Ok, I get the picture. Only searched for "megaphone" when looking for earlier suggestions. Note to self: Keep synonyms in mind for next suggestion. Maybe if it was possible to include an "idiot filter" button on it, but as it's not... Okay, kill it. Seemed a good idea at the time.
Besides, I've been on the zombie side lately, so it wouldn't have benefitted me much anyway.--Fordham 11:27, 26 September 2007 (BST)
