I was thinking.(surprisingly) If there are pistols and shotguns then why not rifles. I thought it would be fitting for it to be a .22 caliber since that is a pretty common rifle. Whenever there's a rifle there's ammunition. My dads .22 has a 10 round clip. With that much ammunition though you'll have to make it a bit harder to find to balance out the game. I figured the search odds should be about the same as the shotgun shells search rate is and the search rate for the gun should be about the same as the shotgun also. The damage I figure should be about the same as the pistol. I don't think the police carry .22's though but it would be plausible to find them occasionally in one of the mansions maybe, a mall gun store would be an excellent place to find one. There might be other places. A warehouse maybe? A junkyard?
