- Variety is good, bacon is good, people change, hairstyles change, interest rates fluctuate. I'll miss you most of all, Scarecrow! --Funt Solo 00:16, 10 December 2006 (UTC)
- Good. But what about the on-campus police station? They always have one, even if it's only used for parking registration. -Mark 00:48, 10 December 2006 (UTC)
- Erm, there are PDs to the north, south, east and west (approx. 3 blocks away). Just pretend that the on-campus security presence was limited to a small office in another of the buildings. --Funt Solo 01:06, 10 December 2006 (UTC)
- Keep I like. Although it'll be difficult for Kevan to explain this one in his update :P (All the sudden, a school appears out of nowhere.(you know how he always trys to make sense with things)). It'll bring people into that part of Malton. Btw: OMG WTF IS A ARMS SHOP DOING IN THE MIDDLE OF A UNIVERSITY!?!?!?!! ummm a lil violent don't you think? :P Maybe it should just be takened out altogether >_>--Shadow213 01:13, 10 December 2006 (UTC)
- Keep Oooh, nice and flavorful. and you know what goes good with flavor? a new item - kegs. heal 5hp. best found in the halls of residence, lol. --Gateking 01:43, 10 December 2006 (UTC)
- Keep - More flavor buildings heck yes.--'STER-Talk-ModP! 01:47, 10 December 2006 (UTC)
- Keep - If this isn't put into the game, I will personaly do nothing about it, but I think it would be a great addition.--Labine50 MH|ME|P 02:15, 10 December 2006 (UTC)
- Perfection Funt's the man when it comes to maps, otherwise a suggestion is just 2-3 paragraphs of my blather. A map answers a lot of questions. The coolest part of having an actual Malton college, well, is fighting over it.. we can do the whole Buffy The Vampire thing, have shootouts at the pub, and so forth. Make characters named Professor so-and-so and all that.. all good! I've been busy, sorry Funt.. i like this map even better.. more room for shootin'! MrAushvitz 02:39, 10 December 2006 (UTC)
- We're not in kansas any more. --ExplodingFerret 02:53, 10 December 2006 (UTC)
- Keep - Just 3 things: "X Residence Hall" sounds better than "X Halls of Residence". Next, I doubt a university would only have 2 residence halls. Last, dont most college campuses have a residential side and an academic side? --GhostStalker 05:05, 10 December 2006 (UTC)
- Re should this make Peer Reviewed, I'll add notes about all that. --Funt Solo 10:09, 10 December 2006 (UTC)
- Keep With a wave of my magic wand I rewrite reality and make it more interesting! Presto Chango! --Jon Pyre 06:06, 10 December 2006 (UTC)
- Keep - Poof! Flavor!--J Muller 06:49, 10 December 2006 (UTC)
- Keep - I welcome with open arms the opportunity to dick around in new places. --Cerebrus13 07:14, 10 December 2006 (UTC)
- I support what the previous voters said That enough reasons for you? -- Ashnazg 0755, 10 December 2006 (GMT)
- Keep - Seems fine to me.--Mr yawn 08:26, 10 December 2006 (UTC)
- Keep - I like it a lot and will be very interested to see what the mascot becomes. However, I'm confused as to what the (T) next to the Boyle Building is for. Also, I would like to see a dining hall, math department, english department, and a theater. --Wfjeff 10:07, 10 December 2006 (UTC)
- Re I'll note your ideas (which I excuse in my own head with role-play. Example: the cinema doubles as a theatre. The english dept. is in the one of the Buildings, as is the dining hall etc. There's quite a lot of background flavour going on - for example, the Schopenhauer Building is named after a philosopher, so that's the philosophy department.) The (T) is the Mobile Phone Transmitter, which I accidentally missed off the first map - it's already there. --Funt Solo 10:27, 10 December 2006 (UTC)
- Keep Good flavor and great map. Looks like someone is really dedicated and hardworking!--Nosimplehiway 13:47, 10 December 2006 (UTC)
- Keep - Extremely flavorful, and the map certainly helped a lot. --Winnan 18:51, 10 December 2006 (UTC)
- Keep - Malton really needed a university. A city this size should have one. -- BzAli 19:08, 10 December 2006 (UTC)
- Keep - I like. Malton is large enough to realistically have some sort of university. Pollux 19:28, 10 December 2006 (UTC)
- Keep- I like it. Adds some variety, which is lacking in Urban Dead.--Grigori 20:26, 10 December 2006 (UTC)
- Keep - An alternative explaination for why the buildings suddenly changed: Before the zombie apocalypse, the area was a university. However, during the beginning few weeks of the apocalypse, the professors and students all fled, and a band of greedy entrepreneurs set up auto repair shops, religious buildings, museums, and other buildings inside the campus buildings. Business failed (because no one cares about money during an apocalypse), and the entrepreneurs have all been devoured by the zeds (or PKed, either way). Just recently, a group of fanatic students decided to renovate the old university and restore it to its former glory (for what reason, I don't know. Maybe they're just crazy). So, how do you like this explaination? --Wikidead 20:58, 10 December 2006 (UTC)
- Re - I told you not to drink the water. --Funt Solo 21:02, 10 December 2006 (UTC)
- Re: Ha ha, I guess that's a no. I find it hard to believe that LSD would have such a long effect, and I find it even harder to believe that LSD would have any effect on zombies (especially the brain-rotted ones). Either way, I still like this suggestion because my scientist character can claim to be a former MU professor. --Wikidead 21:06, 10 December 2006 (UTC)
- Re - I told you not to drink the water. --Funt Solo 21:02, 10 December 2006 (UTC)
- Keep As a resident of Griggs Heights (PT) I like this idea. I've been wondering why Malton, a city of such size didn't have a university... Daniel Hicken 14:11, 11 December 2006 (UTC)
- Keep Okay, here's my explanation: As the survivors recover from the shock of the assualt, they begin to take stock of their surroundings, and realize that the abandoned buildings of Griggs Heights were once a university. All of the students were eaten and the buildings vandalized early in the outbreak...which hints it may have been the source. It's a chilling reminder of just how much damage the zombies can do.
- Or, alternately: The barricades have finally fallen from around Malton University under relentless zombie attacks. Now both zombies and outsiders will manage to see what Higher education has been doing all this time. In worse news, Griggs heights became so infested with zombies today that a military airstrike was finally called, and the entire suburb is now in ruins. The survivors have fled to the newly open MAlton University.--I am 02:25, 22 December 2006 (UTC)
- As this wasn't in a vote format, I didn't know if it was a vote or a non-author comment. Struck. --Funt Solo 10:50, 24 December 2006 (UTC)
- Now this is what I call an idea, it's well thought out, it's well written, it's a great concept, and the picture is reeaal purdy. I raise my drink to you, Funt Solo.
- Unfortunately, unsigned vote struck. --Funt Solo 10:50, 24 December 2006 (UTC)

Malton City Park
Timestamp: | Lord of the Pies 21:57, 9 December 2006 (UTC) |
Type: | Building Complex Addition |
Scope: | Everyone? |
Description: | Given its size, it's a little surprising that Malton lacks any real parks. I'm not talking about the parks it has now; those are just small, open areas with perhaps a playground. They're just local parks, but what I'm talking about is a larger park. Like, say, Hyde Park, but smaller. The City Park would replace numerous buildings and empty blocks in the South-West corner of Mornington, the South-East corner of Crooketon, the North-East corner of Nixbank and the North-West corner of Wykewood and would include a number of new building types, as well as incorporating ordinary buildings.
Concept Map: All blocks considered to be a part of the City Park are marked with a red dot in the upper right-hand corner (the NecroTech Compound is also a part of the Park). New Building Types:
New Empty Block:
Other buildings in the City Park are Churches, Libraries and Museums. Other empty blocks in the City Park are Cemeteries and Monuments. These buildings and blocks would be identified as being parts of the City Park because their external (or only) descriptions would be modified to include ...inside the city park at the end of each. |

- Aye, let's spice up south-west Malton - for too long have the other compass directions been wallowing in their superior flavour! --Funt Solo 01:21, 10 December 2006 (UTC) In response to Mark, you will be able to see people that are in the woods with you - as if you were all inside a building (with no doors or barricades). Otherwise, you'd have an "immune zone" in the game - where nobody could be harmed. That's a game-breaker. --Funt Solo 10:22, 10 December 2006 (UTC)
- Meh just a meh I don't like it because doesn't serve a purpose, but then again adds flavor to the game. Makes alot of since anyways unlike that cemetary suggestion I was getting flamed at for >_> edit: nm there is a purpose, if there is another woodstock fest like that other one, then the people can spread out more >_> --Shadow213 01:20, 10 December 2006 (UTC)
- So, you can't see anyone in the woods, right? You wouldn't be able to any survivors or zombies inside along with you? And maybe if you talk, flavor text: 'A voice from (insert name here) echoes through the trees, "(text here)"' -Mark 01:23, 10 December 2006 (UTC)
- Keep - Great place for suicidal people, a tower you can jump from, a "Building" with no doors that is also un-barricadable...Just kidding, great suggestion.--Labine50 MH|ME|P 02:21, 10 December 2006 (UTC)
- Aye We're just full of good stuff today, wheeee! MrAushvitz 02:42, 10 December 2006 (UTC)
- Keep - I'm always for good flavor additions. Quick question though: Why make the park such an irregular shape? --GhostStalker 05:12, 10 December 2006 (UTC)
- Re - Because parks on this scale aren't very regular. But anyway, my concept map is only to give an idea of what it might look like. --Lord of the Pies 11:30, 10 December 2006 (UTC)
- I dunno, Central Park is pretty regular... Also, I doubt someone would make a park with tons of right angles... --GhostStalker 18:53, 10 December 2006 (UTC)
- Keep - I like-a da flav-a.--J Muller 06:54, 10 December 2006 (UTC)
- Keep - Looks fine to me, and ExplodingFerret, even if the musuem is taken by zombies people can still free run through it.--Mr yawn 08:29, 10 December 2006 (UTC)
- Keep - I really like the concept and am voting keep but I'm concerned about the realism because I can't imagine there being a sketchy looking utility building in the middle of a park. I'm not sure why there would even be a church in the middle of the park. I've never seen a park like that. --Wfjeff 10:17, 10 December 2006 (UTC)
- I've never seen a city like Malton, with shady corp.buildings and two operating military forts. :) BzAli 19:23, 10 December 2006 (UTC) [non-author --Funt Solo 20:20, 10 December 2006 (UTC)]
- Non author comment btw, but just can't help it. I've seen churches in major park area. (Jerkle Island, florida). Who knows, maybe the government was experimenting on animals for the cure to the zombie infestation. --Shadow213 19:51, 10 December 2006 (UTC) [non-author --Funt Solo 20:20, 10 December 2006 (UTC)]

- Keep - A good flavorful suggestion as well. --Winnan 18:54, 10 December 2006 (UTC)
- Keep - Nice flavour. And in response to ExplodingFerret: The whole park, filled with 'empty' spaces (or unbarricadebla buildings) spells trouble for humies anyways. But that's okay, a park is a pretty shitty place to seek shelter from zombies in.BzAli 19:23, 10 December 2006 (UTC)
- Keep- Would go nicely with the above suggestion.--Grigori 20:27, 10 December 2006 (UTC)
- Keep - I have a few qualms about this suggestion, but I'll keep quiet because I'm a sucker for pictures. --Wikidead 20:58, 10 December 2006 (UTC)
- By the way, I forgot to add this question: Will the red dots be a part of the actual map, or is that just something of a visual display in presenting your suggestion? Just wondering because, in the end, it matters not. --Wikidead 21:03, 10 December 2006 (UTC)
- Re - That's just part of the picture. The City park-specific blocks would be obvious as part of the City Park (such as the City Park, Mausoleum, Malton Tower, Woodland and NecroTech Compound blocks) and any regular buildings marked on the map as part of the Park would have their description modified in the way mentioned at the end of the suggestion. --Lord of the Pies 21:06, 10 December 2006 (UTC)

- Looks okay. How about a fence around the park? As for the Malton Tower, just make a statue similar to the Statue of Liberty (since it can be entered) or, heh, a giant version of the NeroTech logo (being right next door).--Pesatyel 23:27, 10 December 2006 (UTC)
- Keep looks good to me... Daniel Hicken 14:14, 11 December 2006 (UTC)

#I'm concerned about the NT building. It can only be free-runned into via the museum. That museum is likely harman-flavoured toast before you even begin; and with that gone the NT building is pretty screwed, isn't it? Otherwise I like the concept and implementation style. --ExplodingFerret 03:20, 10 December 2006 (UTC)
- Umm...yeah. Thanks for pointing that out, Mr Yawn. --ExplodingFerret 02:19, 11 December 2006 (UTC)
