maintenance

One Man & His Dog as of now are looking to upkeep the UBP policy for Huntley Heights. Entry point tags are being issued and de-cades are taking place. The one change is to this plan is the club near the cemetery is now to be an EHB building and the church 1E of it will now be an entry point. this is due to the game changes of the Dark Buildings being implemented.--Kip SaundersT OM&HD 20:15, 24 October 2008 (BST)

I've checked out the modifications, and with the change in both the game and Huntley's general player demographics I can't disagree. Dark buildings are a pain to repair in the situation of a ransack, so keeping clubs EHB is only proper. Good call. :) --Aiden H 4H 06:44, 2 November 2008 (UTC)
Please keep the police station in the northwest corner of huntley at VSB++, overcading is a problem for new players trying to find guns and ammunition.--ScaredPlayer 4H 16:48, 15 March 2009 (UTC)
We do try to, but unfortunately stray players that don't give a flying you-know-what always top the 'cades off. Grar, annoying. --Aiden H 4H 11:57, 5 July 2009 (BST)

bourne ave?

Does anyone actually use this RP? Just curious. --Aiden H 4H 06:47, 2 November 2008 (UTC)

Proposed changes to barricade levels

I think we should raise the Barricade level for the Amos Building to Extreme Heavy. Reasoning: It is often an attack goal(Phone mast) but does not have any resources on which survivors depend. In addition there are several VS entry buildings in surrounding blocks. Fred Finkenstein 09:28, 29 June 2006 (BST)

I don't believe this policy adheres to the UBP.

This barricade plan seems unnecessarily VSB heavy, particularly for a suburb which has been under such heavy attack. Far fewer entry points are needed, the UBP actually only recommends having one entry point per 3x3 square, with exceptions for particular buildings, which usually works out as around 15 entry points in any given suburb. This plan has 30 which is half of the total buildings in the suburb! I would even go so far as to say that this barricade plan in fact violates the UBP guidelines on a number of important points. From the UBP Policy section, "A majority of the buildings in a suburb, between 2/3 to 3/4, should be Extremely Heavily Barricaded" and "Because it is extremely desirable to have a running generator in a Necrotech building, only one NT building in a suburb must be designated VS+2 under the UBP." are obvious examples.

I would suggest a radical redesign to the following:

I would add to this that I do not think the current RPs are a good idea, as they are clustered together and all of them are in the northernmost third of the suburb. I'd recommend losing Peppe Street and Wolfeius's Church, and adding a new RP in the SW of the suburb, perhaps Bourne Avenue. This, with the cemetary (68, 25) (per the SGP) should be more than enough, and would give much better coverage of the suburb. I don't know which groups are running the RPs listed on the main page though.

Please let me know what you think of the above plan; I realise that it is a radical change from the current plan, but as part of DEM operations in the area, I have had a hand in the design of several of the BPs for suburbs in the NE quadrant of Malton, and I honestly think this plan would give survivors a better chance in this suburb.

With no response from 4H or other survivor groups in the suburb I have updated the main page. --Kal 12:00, 3 July 2007 (BST)
SUPER belated reply, as I've been away from UD for ages. I originally designed the old plan with a little help from Yaznov, and yeah, I did go a little overboard on the entry points because at the time, Huntley had a lot of new players without Free Running. Checking out the modified plan, it looks pretty good. :)--Aiden H 4H 06:41, 2 November 2008 (UTC)

Older Barricade Plans

This barricade plan has been drawn up by the survivor group known as The 4-H, to be employed in the suburb of Huntley Heights. It adheres to the Uniform Barricading Policy.

VS, or very strongly barricaded, buildings are free running entry points, and havens for those who lack the skill. All Fire Stations, Police Departments, and NecroTech Buildings are public accessible, although higher barricade levels can occur if resource buildings are targeted by heavy attacks.

The 4-H field hospitals are located at the 65,21 and 65,22 junkyards. The upper junkyard is heavily barricaded for freerunners, whereas the lower junkyard is accessible for all.

The revival point for Huntley Heights is located at Veryard Crescent 67,20.
