New pic?
I propose the addition of this picture to the River Tactics page. First posting here to give everyone a chance to enjoy it. Thoughts? --Gus Thomas 23:42, 31 March 2008 (BST)

- To the contrary, the London Division of the Bureau of Bureaucracy is in process of electing a committee to handle the processing of the red forms which are filled out in triplicate and sent to the Bureau's Hong Kong division (官僚局) to request the blue forms which need to be filled out and processed so as to elect a committee to oversee the election of a committee that will ultimately form a team of writers who will be given several thousand square feet of office space (Location to be decided by the Red Tape Division's Purchasing Sub-Committee.) to write a yet unkown number of different possible replies (The approximate number will be decided after the red forms have been processed) which will then be shown to a focus group; (The Focus Group itself will be established when the Seattle Division of the Bureau forms the Committee Committee which will oversee the formation of the Focus Group Committee; this is expected to happen as soon as they receive the yellow forms which are on backorder from Honolulu.) once this is complete the London Division will oversee the formation of a committee which will elect a representative of the Bureau of Bureaucracy, who will then give you an oposing response regarding the new image. I would have mentioned this sooner but I've only recently been cleared to do so by my superior who had to first get authorization from his superior, who was on a seal hunting expedition in the North Atlantic.--Labine50 MEMS | MHG 11:52, 12 July 2008 (BST)

Super Horde
With the emergence of the "super horde" (the dead) at just over 1300+ zombies coupled with recent game modifications (zombies can block barricading attempts/ruin building/ect) I am am starting to think that "river tactics" are the way to go..--Airborne88T|ZC|MI|E! 02:20, 13 March 2008 (UTC) 03:33, 13 March 2008 (UTC)
I disagree completely with what you wrote about using river tactics and this tactic itself. Why? Remember when almost the entire city was a wreck? That's because we kept running until there was no more places left to run,and secondly,we CAN win sieges and battles even if were outnumbered. Sometimes we should just run, but not always you idiots!Besides, river tactics just give up suburbs to zeds with barely a fight!--Gamestriker4 17:38, 17 July 2008 (BST)
You seem to have misunderstood the point of River Tactics. The general idea is to give up suburbs without a fight. Why? Because when survivors fight, they die. Zombies die as well, but who has to spend ~15 AP to get to a revive point and then stand there for a day or more, the zombies, or the survivors? I know it's irrelevant now, but to anyone reading this page in the future, don't fool yourself into thinking that survivors have a chance of winning if there's a 2:3 or greater ratio in the zombie's favour.--Labine50 MEMS | MHG 03:41, 14 November 2008 (UTC)
River Tactics in Monroeville
The new out break in Monroeville presents the interesting tactical issue of no Necrotech. Without rev shot, the more mainline siege tactics are essentially death traps. Any survivor killed remains a zombie for the rest of the game.
River tactics would seem to be the only viable strategy for dealing with large zombie hordes in Monroeville, but it will present a larger issue eventually: Horde size will grow and survivor life spans will drop. Safe places will dwindle, and eventually there will be no where for the "river" to flow.-- Blake Jawl ( Talk | GSE) 17:59, 4 March 2008 (UTC)
