Suggestion: Unify Radio Frequency
Recommendation: Talk to your neighbors about unifying your radio station.
Currently, in Williamsville you have:
- 26.45 - Radio Williamsville allocated to the suburb.
- 26.75 - Red Guards of Williamsville.
- 27.18 - LURCS (Labour Union Radio Channel Service)
- 28.53 - The Deck of 52
Having diverse Radio frequencies leads to inefficiencies. First, you have to retune the transmitters to use them. Second, effort is wasted spraying graffiti resetting the suggested frequency. Third and most importantly, relatively few people are listening on any one frequency.
If someone sees a trouble spot, would it not be much better for local survivors if a broadcast on one frequency reached all of your groups? Also, it would mean not just reaching people with radios on that frequency, but miscellaneous people who happen to be in a building with a transmitter on the frequency. Diverse frequencies may reach your group. A unified frequency reaches all the groups and more.
Just a suggestion. I've got no pony in the race.
I'm copying the suggestion on Williamsville, RGOW, LURCS, and D52 pages. --ZaqWer 00:09, 20 April 2010 (BST)
Williamsville Barricade Plan
The Luscombe Building, of course referring to the on in this city, is now used has a hospital. It would be great if the official barricade plan was to keep it at VSB for survivors without Free Running. --Robert Egleton 19:04, 12 June 2009 (BST)
Removing/Relisting the CPM
- As I'm not exactly unbiased, thought I'd put it up for general discussion before editing: the CPM, having retreated from the suburb, ought to be removed from the "known groups" tab. Should they in fact be hiding somewhere I haven't been into, or wish to re-assert their presence, they ought at least to be moved to the Hostile Groups section due to the considerable bounties they've been racking up on the RG. Comments? - Krae 22:52, 6 May 2009 (BST)
- As far as I'm aware they are gone --Feon Kensai 12:23, 7 May 2009 (BST)
The last I knew of, we still move in and out of Williamsville, and it remains an important burb to us. Right now we're currently in Dakers, working with the local groups there to keep it safe. If your thinking is that only stationary groups should be listed in burbs, that's an interesting discussion. I would lean towards being liberal, and allowing groups to list in a burb if they travel there frequently.

Updating the Williamsville Wiki Page
Im no exspert on wiki's or anything and I dont know if anyone pays much attention to this page anymore - but I personally feel that the Williamsville wiki page could do with some updating or brightening up and get more info onto it. I've seen many suburb wiki pages that have a suburb history/description, more info on key points (hospitals, PDs etc...), details for revive services, I know we have an area for radio frequencies but on other pages its at the top of the pages, also prehaps getting an up-to date barricade plan... these are all just minor things but I feel that this page sort of dead and want to try to get groups and survivors active, working together and make Willaimsville mean somthing, be recognised as a good co-ordinated suburb like Buttonville or Pitneybank instead of just area on the border that people forget about. I mean think about it - I know that it isnt usfull but we do have a landmark feature - the power station - we should make something of it. I hope anyone who reads this understands where I am coming from and can help, I just dont want to go ahead and change anything without support or working without people as I dont want to mess up this wiki page and still wish it to stay NPOV and Im not a master at wiki code. Thank you for your time and I hope there is support otherwise I will just leave this idea and try later. I hope I've done this in the right spot :) - if not please tell me --Feon Kensai 22:33, 30 March 2009 (BST)

It ashame that you didn't get any challenge from Williamsville, but I must say...I am impressed by your cooperation and organization with your group(MOB), not many survivor groups are like that but don't worry I will catch up behind you guys lol --Andrewzz

Sorry, Anti-thesis, we waited a whole day and wiped out all your HQ buildings, but you still haven't massacred us. We don't mean to be rude, but there's no food left in this suburb so the MOB is moving on. You can bloodbath us next time. -- Grogh 02:45, 14 August 2008 (BST)

Not so fast.
Good afternoon. In a matter of hours, survivors from here will join others from around Williamsville. And you will be fighting the largest battle in the history of this great suburb. "Williamsville." That word should have new meaning for all of us today. It is our home, we can't lose it. We won't lose it. We can't be consumed by our petty differences anymore. We must be united in our common interests. We are fighting for our freedom, we are fighting for our honor, we are fighting for our home. Not from tyranny, oppression, or persecution... but from annihilation. We are fighting for our right to live. To exist. And should we win the day, this day will not be known as a terrible loss of human life, but as the day the whole of Williamsville declared in a single voice: "We will not go quietly into the night!" We will not vanish without a fight! We're going to live! We're going to survive! Today, we celebrate our -insert cool name here- !!!!!!!
Good Luck, and God Speed

Non-NPOV stuff moved from NPOV suburb description
Note: It's fine for there to be a seperate "Recent History" or some such thing section which includes this. However, it group propaganda does not belong in the NPOV suburb description. I'll let the locals figure out how to handle the specifics, though. --WanYao

In order to help future attempts by Survivors to coordinate a response to the 2nd Big Bash, I have set up a page specifically for this purpose called "Survivors vs The Second Big Bash". Tuning In: Radio Williamsville
To survivor groups in Williamsville. In Buttonville, we've had some success making radios useful by unifying all groups to Radio Buttonville. By having nearly all transmitters already tuned to one frequency this helps because (1) survivors only have to have a radio for one frequency; (2) those without radios (or tuned to something else) can listen to the transmitters; (3) less need to retune transmitters for different groups. I would like to encourage Williamsville survivor groups to adopt Radio Williamsville, 26.45 as their official frequency. The Williamsville Defense Coalition has already taken this step. --ZaqWer 23:21, 22 February 2008 (UTC)

Great Suburb Group Massacre 2010
All suburb wiki pages are undergoing a clean up to remove inactive groups from the group listing (see here: this suburb's groups). If you are a group currently listed in this suburb, you will be contacted on your group's talk page within the next few days and asked to reply, indicating that you are active in this suburb. Groups that fail to reply within two weeks of being contacted will automatically be removed from the suburbs where they are listed.
We're posting here in the hopes that more groups will be aware of the clean up and can respond appropriately, since our team does not have the time nor the manpower to seek out every group in-game or track down its group members elsewhere on the wiki. If you know that some groups in your suburb do not check the wiki, please be a good neighbor and let them know that they NEED to check it for this, or else they will be unlisted in the near future.
The wiki members coordinating the cleanup will be using the table below to track their progress in communicating with the various groups. Please do not edit it if you are not involved with The Great Suburb Group Massacre 2010 team.
