Suggestion description
With ruined buildings, the toolbox, and damage levels with radios and generators, the time is ripe for a new civilian survivor class - Builder. Starts with construction, a toolbox and a length of pipe or crowbar. Pretty simple, not much else other than that. Starts in a random factory.

Malton
Suggestion description
There are a lack of many buildings in Malton, this has been pointed out many times. There are many public buildings such as Museums and Libraries, but no government administration buildings, such as a city hall or government offices / court houses, etc. etc.

Suggestion description
Chainsaw baby! What we all want but shoot down horrendously quickly. Still, it's been suggested so many times in so many ways it's in both peer rejected, reviewed and undecided. I'm here today to pull together the best elements of them all and see if we can get a chainsaw suggestion we can all agree on.
Most people see the chainsaw filling in a place between weak melee weapons and powerful ranged weapons. Most people also expect it to be handicapped in some way - fuel cans the only logical suggestion here. Next question is balance - how well does it stack up to firearms and axes/knives? Lastly, are there new skills? Where will it be found?
It would be silly to have an extra skill for the chainsaw - as if you 'perfect the art of chopping things up'. Accuracy kept low and damage kept high. Due to the difficulty in finding many fuel cans as often as say a pistol clip or shotgun shell, ammo is kept at 4. This further nagates it's efficiency per AP to be in-line with the firearms.
Chainsaw vrrroom vrrooom!
- Encumbrance 12%
- Found in Mall Hardware stores (3%/6%)
- 12 Damage per hit (9 against armour)
- Base chance - 15%
- Hand To Hand Combat - 30%
- Fuel Cans as 'ammo'
- 4 'shots' per can
- 30% against barricades (remember, you are using ammo, this would not nerf crowbars (infinite)).
Alternate - Buzz saw, same as above except 5% better to hit base, and 10 damage (8 against armour).
February 10th [edit] Chainmail Vest Timestamp: c138 RR - PKer 18:25, 10 February 2007 (UTC) Type: Item Scope: Everyone Description: Acts as a melee flak jacket, ie. 1 point of damage is reduced when you're attacked by any non-firearm weapon that deals more than 2 points of damage. Can't be carried at the same time as a flak vest; you need to decide which will be more useful to you (if you get PKed a lot or you're a zombie, find a flak jacket; if you're defending against a zombie siege or get ZKed a lot, find some chainmail). Found in museums (in the Medieval-era display cabinets), churches (on the bodies of dead warriors), fort armouries (amongst the weapons and protective gear), cathedrals (on the bodies of dead kings) and mansions (on suits of armour).
