Flamebait! | |
This user is a flamebaiting fuckwit! |
- Muhahahahaha the template work! {{Flamebait}} --Akimbomidget 15:04, 25 June 2006 (BST)
- I think you are failing to understand exactly what a flamebaiter is. A flamebaiter is someone who is deliberately stirring the pot for no reason other than they feel like it. There is no such thing as a potential flamebaiter, there are people who flamebait, and those who do not. –Xoid S•T•FU! 15:00, 25 June 2006 (BST)
- Oh snap! Well i'm not too sure about that, but you can always edit the template if you want. --Akimbomidget 15:04, 25 June 2006 (BST)
- "There are various motives or explanations for this behavior. The most popular is the desire for attention and the desire for entertainment at the expense of others. Posted flamebait can provide the posting party with a controlled trigger-and-response setting in which to engage in conflicts and indulge aggressive behavior anonymously, without facing the consequences those behaviors would certainly bring to bear in real life. In other instances, flamebait may be used to reduce a forum's use by angering forum users." — from the link in your little template. (It is little, we use 250px for small templates around here, and 500px for the big ones. Try looking at {{straws}} for an example.) –Xoid S•T•FU! 15:11, 25 June 2006 (BST)
- Oh i get it, i'm going to correct it then :). The template is ment to be slapped next to a user's siggy, in the talk page to alert others. --Akimbomidget 15:39, 25 June 2006 (BST)

Spam
Please don't spam people's talk pages. If you have an issue with their votes on the Deletions page, please keep it to that page. Cyberbob Talk 15:24, 25 June 2006 (BST)
- Hangon! What make a request a spam! I even put it in the correct section of individual talk pages if they request it. Remember it’s only just a polite request. Unless it is generally looked down upon in the community, i would feel that it is a moral equal to having a polite chat with a user on their doorsteps. --Akimbomidget 15:39, 25 June 2006 (BST)
- The few who do vote here tend to check back on the deletions page often. If you have a solid line of reasoning, post it there, posting it on every single talk page of a user is enough to piss anyone off, let alone the large number of users here with a short temper. –Xoid S•T•FU! 16:29, 25 June 2006 (BST)
- Point taken, thanks --Akimbomidget 16:34, 25 June 2006 (BST)
- Oh for the love of god… WILL. YOU. FUCK. OFF?! I swear, if you spam the deletions page just one more time, then I'm gonna have to consider it my obligation to dig through every single goddamn rule this wiki has to ensure that story dies. Capisce?–Xoid S•T•FU! 17:14, 25 June 2006 (BST)
- Oh dear, i must have forgotten about the short temper bit. This message i intent to post to 'STER will not have any Spam, it is just a request for an opinion. (To vouch for this, i have check the general definition for Forum Spam). While i must say this place does feel a bit different from wikipedia, i must say i am still not to clear despite reading some rulebooks. It is however no doubt that i will attempt to take your request into mind, I’m sure you would understand this as an honest attempt to participate. Peace :) --Akimbomidget 17:30, 25 June 2006 (BST)

- Hmm....let me see. NO. Cyberbob Talk 10:37, 29 June 2006 (BST)
- Ok! That great, hope to see your rebuttal over my argument over at the delete page. --Akimbomidget 10:42, 29 June 2006 (BST)
- The way you spelt rebuttal… jeeze. Were you were asking Cyberbob to show you his arse or something? –Xoid S•T•FU! 11:08, 29 June 2006 (BST)
- (Whoopies, key slip, I corrected the spelling) Hey what are you trying to infer by "showing his arse". But if you are saying what I think you are saying, then the answer would be no. I still believe in free speech, and lastly I do pass the Turing Test. --Akimbomidget 11:19, 29 June 2006 (BST)

Deletion
If you are going to turn it into a timeline/history-of-what-has-happened in Urban Dead, then there is no need for the page to stay. You are aware that you can simply move it to User:Akimbomidget/Story and it is essentially untouchable, right? You may prefer to look into that. Once it's ready, talk to 'STER about folding it into the Lexicon, and he may choose to. Beyond that, no. I'm a rabid deletionist, and if it wasn't for the fact that I would get in serious trouble over it, I would be emptying this wiki out of a lot more junk. Unfortunately, people tend to complain when their "I spent 1 hour on that, it's my life's work, despite how poor it obviously is" pages get deleted. –Xoid S•T•FU! 15:18, 1 July 2006 (BST)
- Hey i'm not discounting your work but you know the natural reaction of anybody who doesn't care about what people edit on their page as long as it does not die. --Akimbomidget 15:25, 1 July 2006 (BST) (I'm a rabid archivist)
- Archivist and inclusionist are two different things. One can be both a deletionist and an archivist. The deletionist/inclusionist aspect is basically how low one's tolerance of sub-standard articles is. I've got a low tolerance for them, but someone like Gage has none whatsoever. (He takes some kind of pleasure in the number of pages on this wiki decreasing noticably. I'm sure of it.)
- My archive is proof of my archivist habits. I've only ever blanked a section of my talk page once — when two people were speaking in Chinese. But I still like seeing junk get zeroed out. Incidentally, you may wish to bone up on your grammar skills; your sentence structure back there was rather fractured, at best. –Xoid S•T•FU! 15:54, 1 July 2006 (BST)
