Floor Barricading
I think the difference is that in this idea barricades are spread out over about 5 floors. In the old version you could barricade every floor to EHB, which was total bullshit. --Zaruthustra-Mod 14:49, 12 April 2006 (BST)
- Should probably ask for a clarification, but I think the idea is that zeds will still bash the same amount of barricades to get to the top, but they have a chance of finding meat on the way. It allows lower level characters without free running to enter a building thats EHS, they just sacrifice the barricade strength if they can't get to the top. So a newb could get into a massively overbarricaded point (*cough*caiger), they just wouldn't be able to get to the top floors. --Zaruthustra-Mod 15:03, 12 April 2006 (BST)
- This one is just for towers I think, not sure. So no caiger, but still. Some suburbs basically screw newbs. They spawn in an area with no buildings below HB and die on their first day. --Zaruthustra-Mod 15:07, 12 April 2006 (BST)
GBP Correspondence
Hey there, I got your note. Feralis (my character in Scarletwood) is mostly inactive right now, and I have absolutely no idea what made me make a SECOND scientist character. :P But hey, I'm actually happy you contacted me, I'd love to help out and make some sort of progress with Feralis. I'll head on to Garniss -- I've ended my last (aimless) wandering at Crowbank. :P I'll be around in a while. Let me know. :) -- Angela 15:10, 2 April 2006 (BST)
- P.S. I'm now at the Draper Arms. :) This is me, just in case you need it. -- Angela 15:16, 2 April 2006 (BST)
Well, I'm there now -- went out for a spell to look for FAKs and heal other people up, but I'm back at the arms. How can I help? :) I can heal and do revives (although I have no syringes stored as of the moment, and the NT building near is EHB), and I also have a shotgun and a pistol (but currently no training in using either). Can't free-run just yet. -- Angela 02:12, 4 April 2006 (BST)
No worries :) That's the next skill I'm planning on getting anyway, so a few more scans and a few more heals, and I'll be good. -- Angela 07:10, 4 April 2006 (BST)
Hi, things have been busy with RL and I haven't been able to log in frequently, but thanks for dropping a note! I'll definitely be saying hello in your main office as soon as I get free running. :) -- Angela 06:42, 9 April 2006 (BST)
...Feralis got killed. x______x;; I'm just outside Draper Arms too, was on my way back when it happened. I'm at St. Spyridion's (sp?), but haven't gotten up yet since I have 5AP left. *sigh* -- Angela 02:43, 11 April 2006 (BST)
Both my active accounts got killed. A run of bad luck, it seems :p I'm over at Stayner Road, just below Garniss. -- Angela 01:43, 13 April 2006 (BST)
Stood up yet again. Argh. Damned hunters. The other account got killed AGAIN. -- Angela 03:44, 15 April 2006 (BST)
- Just got revived by someone passing by, I think. I'm back at Draper, recuperating and resting. Just around 60 more XP to get free running! -- Angela 07:12, 15 April 2006 (BST)
You forgot to sign your vote on "Phones Could Use a Ring" --Grim s 14:06, 14 April 2006 (BST)
- So sorry, she went inactive, I believe! Just 9 more XP, and I'm good. *is excited!* I also signed up at the boards you posted, though I can't see anything as of the moment. :) -- Angela 09:08, 29 April 2006 (BST)
- Oh, I see! I was planning to post a "hi" post but got confused since I couldn't see a thing. Hee. I'm off to post <3 (Will be out for the weekend, though!) -- Angela 15:52, 29 April 2006 (BST)
Suggestions
Thank you for your assistance with my suggestions. That'll be the last time I post them straight to the Suggestions page, as opposed to the Talk page. I'm a bit of a newbie. Honestly, I thought the Inspirational Speaker was a good idea. I still do, as well. I don't know what specifically I'm going to do with it to make it more palatable, but it's going to get through Peer Review one of these days, or I'll be damned. Thanks again. -- Wyndallin 12.27 08 APR 2006
Well, I want a skill that is sorta personality-based, that I could see a Priest or something like that using. The reason I chose the skill name and effects that I did were directly based off that desire, but I wanted something secular for the name of the skill so that it wasn't specific to any religious order. -Wyndallin 20:36, 8 April 2006 (BST)
I don't understand how people equate priests and magic. You know, those guys that were getting arrested for molesting children? I don't think they're magical. The Inspirational Speech ability wasn't magical at all, and I don't understand how people can think that. "[P]sychosomatically-induced bodily endurance caused by fervor created by an inspiring person..." isn't magical at all. -Wyndallin 20:57, 8 April 2006 (BST)
I'm not debating anything you're saying; I can see where you guys are coming from this (and I apologize if you're getting tired of me filling up your talk page). Do you think it would be better received if I spelled out clearly that it wasn't magical or divine in any way, shape or manner, and possibly posted up links to psychological or biological research or things of the sort that would support me in saying that it would be physically possible? -Wyndallin 21:11, 8 April 2006 (BST)
With regards to the link you sent me, yeah, I know. I've already read it a few times. I'm not implying any sort of divine connection. -Wyndallin 21:13, 8 April 2006 (BST)
Suggestions Talk Page
Regardless, I apologize. It's rude to assume either way, which is exactly what I did. I'm just really tired, having been up for over 36 hours, and I'm bloody sick of the dramafest between Amazing and ... well, basically everyone else. I don't support either side. I just want them all to piss off, because they're giving me a bloody headache. -Wyndallin 15:00, 22 April 2006 (BST)
Rhymes
your mad rhymes are an inspiration to us all, and I will try to follow you precedent whenever possible on the suggestions page.--Bermudez 03:50, 21 April 2006 (BST)
Random Stuff
Haha, wisdom teeth eh? I got three of mine removed last December. It was surreal. Novocaine is fun. Once it wears off though .... Sadface :( and If you're getting more than one out, enjoy your liquid diet for the next week or so. It's a once in a lifetime experience though ;) Take care. --wcil 11:32, 13 April 2006 (BST)
Your vote is showing
there was an extra | (that thing that seperates links from link text, is used in templates, etc.) in the text. That messes up the voting template. when removed everything turn back to normal.--Vista W! 11:47, 21 April 2006 (BST)
Cookiethief Flagbox
- <_< Hey. Let's not steal cookies. That's my job. >_> (I didn't really see the need to flagbox that Wyndal, just FYI) BuncyTheFrog Talk GBP 05:16, 27 April 2006 (BST)
Flagboxing makes everything prettier, and in addition to that, if it isn't flagboxed, it's just a smidgeon too long to match the length of the other smallboxes. -Wyn (talk!) 15:57, 1 May 2006 (BST)
Mod Bid
I'm sending this message out to everyone who had spoken on my modship bid. Recently it was suggested that I wipe the slate clean and start over with a new bid. I decided against this for two main reasons: First, I don't want to risk causing any drama, and Second, I don't want to risk people on either side not being heard the second time around.
I am, however, asking anyone who has spoken to take a moment of thier time to review the case and deatermine if they need to change thier vote or, more than likely, keep it as is. Thank you. --SirensT RR 14:52, 12 May 2006 (BST)
Ahhh....is this the complaints department
On the contrary, Mr. Buncy, an apology to us should not be your first priority. I suggest you revolve and tell your fellow factionites the news before a revolution erupts in Scarletwood. You have used the tools of a major faction to commit murder. Weather or not the notorious assassin known as Cypher Zero stayed in Faction Safehouses, or used Faction Revives (Which we suspect he did), he used information only the GBP could have known. I for my part have not even seen the madman who has been causing untold trouble in Scarletwood, or the PKer Cypher Zero he uses on occasion, but I know that he is guilty of the greatest sin...hypocracy. Our savior, in his many teachings, gave us countless examples of this bane to mankind, but none so telling as the reports I've heard from scarletwood.
I know, beyond any shadow of a doubt, that if we had tried what you tried here today, we would have been killed, en masse, and driven from Malton like a herd of pigs. As is our way, those in Scarletwood will decide what to do with you, but I suspect that this information will be carried to the farthest corners of that suburb. For the last time, Mr. Buncy, I am an Angel, so are they, they will make their own descisions regarding every action in Scarletwood. This is not vaugeness, my friend, but the most perfect sense of purpose, because even without speaking to them, I know exactly what they will do...the right thing. Fuel Coop
Broadcasting to that frequency would be an idea, however exept for our members there is usually one or two other residents at max. Since the frequency our group uses has no spam, we preffer using it, for browsing 20 lines of spam can make one oversee a request. However our operator could try tuning in to that chanel and relay any requests, but if there is alot of spam we won't stop him from changing back. -Certified=InsaneUG 21:49, 14 June 2006 (BST)
Just talk...
I hope my group hasn't participated in your loss of interest in Scarletwood. Sure, we put adds everywhere and we do want to recruit the most people possible, but we don't want to be the ruling power of Scarletwood, and don't want to start a fight with the locals. Anyways, just had to say... 'cause really our activities are abroad. -Certified=InsaneUG 22:09, 14 June 2006 (BST)
And what exactly is is they are doing? And if you don't mind me asking, who is it that's wanting to take all the power. And yeah, my group is a bit underground, but don't be fooled by the WIKI, it's a little exagerated for RP purpouses ;) -Certified=InsaneUG 01:33, 15 June 2006 (BST)
Yeah... One of your members, Teh New one (or something like that), has applied to our forums but has not validated his e-mail ^.-. That was 2 days ago... So you telling me they want to lower 'cades in the south??? Meh... Well good luck to you. -Certified=InsaneUG 15:38, 15 June 2006 (BST)
Dismayed
Buncy, Buncy, Buncy If you are going to PK us, you might as well make it known on your user page that you use a PKer named Cypher Zero along with Buncy the Frog and Buncy the Zombie. Otherwise people like us could become a little confused. I had rather hoped we were past this whole messy affair, but it looks like it's just beginning. and I am beginning to grow angry. And that is beginning to dismay me even more. Because I had once believed the strife in Malton was ending.
Okay
Maybe you need to Talk to someone who has half a brain. Romero has his head in the clouds, and we were foolish to listen to him ramble on about forgiving you. We've let you off easy, and thats no joke:
Let me put it this way. We scouted the area of Scarletwood pretty thouroughly. We know you and Cypher Zero operated within the same suburb at the same time. We have proof of this. We know you placed spies within the Garniss Building, if not looked within its walls using alternates. This goes beyond simple fun RPing. This is known as cheating. We didn't bother you about it, because we figured we'd humiliated your petty ass enough. Obviously, you're still sore, this is understandible, but if you don't go away, every group you are ever a part of will know, that you are a zerger, a PKer and a bad sport. We are indeed thinking of leaving Scarletwood, and yeah, its because you people have serious issues you need to work out on your own. To thine own self be true, buncy, you know you violated the spirit of the game. You have your fun But so help me god, if you bother me or Sam again, measures will be taken, and I think we both know that they go far beyond simply killing one of your charicters. Mira Hart 05:41, 20 June 2006 (BST)
Padre
Buncy, Padre live in Rhodenbank, He's never left the suburb since the game began. What Kevan wanted to avoid was people in the same suburb with the same agenda. There is clear precident for having Alts in the same faction. What we are trying to communicate to you is that you have an ethical reponsibility, As someone who uses a PKer, to inform others that you do so. You could convincingly argue that you are able to play both charicters without any deviations in their lifestyles, but what occured in Scarletwood clearly shows that you can't stop things from becoming personal. What happens when another group offends buncy? Can you be trusted with sensitive information? These aren't questions we need answering, but other groups will need these questions answered, as such, players with charicters of dissimilar agendas should post them.
As a final note on the matter, all your profiles will be posted on the Brainstock boards, with all the incriminating evidence we can find. The Angels have told me that I am giving you far too much attention, and as such, this will be the last time I try to sway your opinion. So long, and good luck PadreRomero 03:39, 25 June 2006 (BST)
