Location Style Guide

Link. Please follow its directives. –Xoid STFU! 13:57, 28 July 2006 (BST)

To answer your question, "Should the Necrotech buildings for Rhodenbank have a single page each or be combined like the factories because the info they've got is more or less duplicated?", combine them. Unless there is significant history behind a particular building, combined pages are the way to go, with the appropriate redirects. If, at any time, a location that is in a grouped page should suddenly get some serious historical significance (more than a paragraph), feel free to split it off into its own article. –Xoid STFU! 05:32, 29 July 2006 (BST)

The RCDC Barricade Picture?

Hello, Foxalpha! You probably remember me from the RCDC a couple weeks back. Active member and such.

I was wondering if you happened to know what happened to the barricade picture - it's suddenly a long and confusing link... it's been too long since I've dealt with wiki-stuff, that I'm not exactly sure if I can fix it. Any help is appreciated, though, I'm not sure what that help is... It'll probably end up being a deal with Major Anderson.

I also see you got my userbox. First one other than myself, I guess. --NomaderTalk 09:51, 30 July 2006 (BST)

Parks of Rhodenbank

Don't worry about it. I was pretty sure you'd get to the article anyways, knowing how active you are. This'll probably be the only locations article I'll be creating for awhile. Thanks for the editing! --Nomader TRCDC 18:01, 7 August 2006 (BST)

Location redirects

Just to note that using # in redirects won't work. Limitation in mediawiki software. It also won't be fixed in coming versions, if I have understood correctly. --Brizth M T 12:07, 11 August 2006 (BST)

What? I thought they were going to fix it. Grrr. –Xoid STFU! 12:10, 11 August 2006 (BST)

Ooh! Thank You!!

Mr dear Sir and/or Madman,
I am Vulnavia, the Mistress-of-(mis)Communication for The Necrophiliac Lounge OrganiZation and its offshoot-corporations, and I just noticed that you added the Table-of-Contents to The NLO's wiki-page. Thank you sooo much! I have a feeling my reptutation for semi-wiki-illiteracy precedes me, but I am always very grateful when nice people like you take the time to stop and help me! Thank-you, thank-you, thank-you! Nibbles of gratitude for you! Vulnavia 02:57, 13 August 2006 (BST)

P.S. I noticed you're from "Bunbury", Have you ever read The Importance of Being Earnest by Oscar Wilde? (It's one of my favorite plays...)Vulnavia 02:57, 13 August 2006 (BST)
Yay! I simply love getting messages! Do you prefer I reply here or on my talk-page? What ever you prefer is fine with me! I'll admit I was startled when you replied, I was busily editting the NLO-page when poof! it announced I had a message! (I didn't know it would suddenly inform me like that!) Anyhow, thank-you for replying, as I said I absolutely adore getting messages!! And thank-you for offering to help me, I can always use wiki-help! I wasn't sure if you were a "Sir", I would have, of course, offered nibbles-of-gratitude anyway, even if you weren't, but most girls don't really appreciate them (Dead-Autumn used to, but that is a whole different story!). It's interesting to know that "Bunbury" is a real city, and that there actually was once a man named "Bunbury"! I wonder if he was sick very often? Vulnavia 05:13, 13 August 2006 (BST)
EEeee!! Squeals-of-joy!! THANK YOU!! The page for Club Vaughan is positively perfect with the mention of the stage and everything, and making that page was on my "things-I-gotta-do" list and I was so dreading having to make it! I am sooo grateful! You're the nicest man ever!!! THANK YOU!!! I could just grab you and squeeze you and kiss you!! I had absolutely no clue how I going to make that page! I wish I could stay awake tonight to work on it but it's nearly 2am and I am really tired! But THANK YOU!!!! You are sooo nice!! If there's ever anything you want me to do for you just tell me and I will do it! Thank-you thank-you thank-you thank-you sooooo much!!!! NIBBLES-OF-GRATITUDE-ALL-SMOTHERED-IN-CHOCOLATE-SAUCE!!!! Thank-you!!! Vulnavia 06:14, 13 August 2006 (BST)

Hello, again! From Vulnavia!

It's me again! I just finished the NLO-page (finally!) and I was just wondering if you know how I can get the group-box-thing to move to the right so the table-of-contents will be parallel (I'll bet I didn't spell that right!) to it? I'm about to start planning out what to write on the Club Vaughan page (Thank you soooo much!! Nibbly-nibbles of gratitude for you!). I hope I hear from you soon! From Vulnavia 01:09, 16 August 2006 (BST)

THANK YOU!! Again! I didn't mean you had to actually change it for me! But you did! You're so nice! You are officially a Helpful and Yummy Person!! Gratuitious Nibbles-of-Gratitude for You!! (I was just thinking of something funny: you've actually done more stuff for The Necro-Lounge than Murder Legendre himself has! If you ever find one of your characters would like to have a NLO "Frequent Diners' Club Membership" or anything at all, they are seriously entitled to it!) I have another question for you though: I'm naturally just a little too curious for my own well-being but I'm seriously dying to know what Club Vaughan looks like on that pretty Firefox mini-map with all the cute little buildings in it!! Do you (or anyone you know) have access to the mini-map? (I know that pressing "alt" and "printscreen" at-the-same-time will copy whatever is on 'my' screen but I don't know if that works with the other computer...um...browser?...things... If it does I'm thinking it might work to capture a picture of Club-V on the mini-map) Hmm. Just occured to me: That very same pic of Club-V might look pretty nifty on the wiki-page about the club itself! I wonder if we're allowed to do that...What do you think of the idea? Nibbles from Vulnavia 00:36, 17 August 2006 (BST)
Of course I'll keep the map you made! I'd never get rid of something like that that you had made for me out of the kindness of your heart, I didn't mean it like that! Aw, I hope you don't feel unappreciated!!!! Poor poopsie...Nibbles-of-Reassurance-of-Appreciation for you!! Anyway, I'm currently looking over a few of the other "Club" pages to see if anything peaks my inspiration. About that Location Style Guide (tried to make it a link, wouldn't work though), does the Club-V page fit all the other criterion on it? (My brain is getting a little fuzzy around the edges, and it's only 12:03am! (I was awake until 5am last night, scribbling away in my sketch-book designing a "Nurse Necro" Avatar...)). I'm thinking the firefox pic would go in one of those little picture-squares and be put somewhere on the page. I know the description in the game mentions "yellow stone building", I was thinking maybe it's made of sandstone? Where I used to live there were some really nice sandstone buildings downtown, they had gargoyles and tin-roofs, real works of victorian-era architectural-art (one of them actually was abandoned and later briefly became a Gothic-esque nightclub). So, what do you think of my ideas? What do you think Club Vaughn-the-actual-building would look like? More Nibbles-of-Reassurance-of-Appreciation from Vulnavia 04:39, 17 August 2006 (BST)
Ha ha: "barricade policy". I'm thinking preferably none. I was going to say to just skip it but it might be worth it to actually have a sort-of "mock policy" that says to keep it open. Maybe some people would actually listen...! I'm still working on planning out the actual club-related info (and writing a really good "recruitment" post for the Desensitized forum and writing an interview with ML (Murder Legendre) for The Dead Can Read (without any real input from him. hmph. lazy arse.) and trying to draw some pics for the NLO webpage...). Lots of stuff to do! I actually knew Dead-Autumn in-real-life and she had bought a massive inch-thick, hard-covered sketchbook to write all the Necro-Lounge related stuff in (we dubbed it the official Necro-Lounge bible) and she passed it on to me to keep when she decided to take a break from UD. Anyway, I'm going to have to buy a new one because I've almost filled it up with ideas and plans and stuff! Anyhow, I think I'd rather have the firefox pic than a photo, although I wish I had a picture of the interior of the club downtown, it was really nice: red velvet circular booths, art-noveau era tables and chairs, and some absinthe and dark modern art posters on the walls. I loved it but was only in it twice (it was unfortunately frequented by a very snobbish gothic clique). The interior of that club and the interior of an abandoned american vaudeville-esque theatre I saw in a (great-depression-era) ghost-town (while lost on a road-trip with my friend's parents) are my main sources of inspiration for the interior of The Necro-lounge (or at least the Ridleybank branch!) . The theatre had a jewelled-look ceiling that looked sort-of like large tiles that look like really ornate picture-frames. (Do you kind-of understand what I mean? maybe? a little? I know it's sort-of hard to picture if you've never seen it...). Also in "Norman Whitdevebber"'s survivour-diary [1](that ties in with the "The Dead Can Read" interviews), I described the ceiling of Vulnavia's backstage room as having really ornate trim around the edges and a mural of blue sky with puffy clouds with cherubs in them. I'm not sure where I got the idea for that from, I think maybe a book about the Palace of Versailles...? Anyway, I'm going to ask around about the firefox pic...I don't really know anyone, but I guess I'll ask people I do know, hopefully some obliging firefox-gifted person will turn up...Anyway, I seem to be taking up all of your talk-page! We should email each other instead, to save the wiki-environment and what-not...From Vulnavia 04:07, 18 August 2006 (BST)
Aw! Hopefully you won't have to do anything like that! I'm thinking somebody might turn up. Hopefully...anyway, yes I did write "Norman"'s diary, I thought maybe ML (Murder Legendre) would (because I wasn't sure if I could write from a male's point-of-view and make it sound realistic. Especially in the later parts I'm still writing where Norman meets various NLO employees, including my character Vulnavia) but he's such a game-whore: he's already "deeply involved and entrenched" in some other crazy internet-game he found. So I knew if I didn't write it, it just wouldn't get done. Did you like it? The explanation I invented to explain why I am writing the diaries is that Norman reveals to ML (the character) that Norman can't actually write: all the prize-winning news-paper articles he wrote were plagarized. So Vulnavia (the character) is forced to assist Norman in writing The Dead Can Read. Heh. I thought it was pretty funny. What do you think? I just discovered that the magazine I use as a "mouse-pad" (my mouse has "ball issues") has a picture of a similar ceiling on the back of it! I'll attach it to an email and send it to you! YaY! From Vulnavia 21:34, 18 August 2006 (BST)
Well I emailed you but I'm not sure if you'll get it or not, hotmail doesn't like my emails usually, it'll probably land in either your spam-basket or right in the "trash" (heh. I have a "trashy" email address...). I'm glad you liked the stuff I wrote (ML hasn't even read it yet so it's nice to have some feedback!). Regarding my mouse's "ball issues": I have taken its fricking balls out and cleaned them and rolled them around so many times that I feel like some kind techno-whore! grumble-grumble. I think it's just a really cheap mouse and/or mouse-pad (I mean the mousepad that now lives under the magazine. The mouse seems to enjoy rolling around on top of the slippery magazine). Anyway, hope you actually recieve my email! from Vulnavia 21:34, 19 August 2006 (BST)
It's Vulnavia@ZombieGirlz.zzn.com If it's easy for you, just send me an email when you get my address added. Hopefully it'll all work! Vulnavia 03:47, 20 August 2006 (BST)
