#:It's only because this is a Zombie Hunter skill that you believe it doesn't affect humans, isn't it? {{ | #::Not wanting to be overly nit-picky... But... ''That'' doesn't make sense, either. If it applies to shooting ''anything'', then it's a Marksman skill and belongs somewhere in the firearms tree. Zombie Hunter/Headshot means the skill of knowing how to effectively neutralise ''zombies''. That's why it applies to guns, to axes, knives, to fucking christmas trees. It applies to ''anything'' which I might use against a zombie, not just guns. And, if it applies to everything, it should apply to GKing with a pistol, too, just sayin'.... No, sorry, but this suggestion just work not on so many levels. --[[User:WanYao|WanYao]] 13:41, 1 January 2009 (UTC)
#'''Spam''' First of all, there aren't enough penalties. There is NO balance. "Getting hit makes you lose the bonus" You only get 1 bonus for 1 shot anyway. And it is activated by a drop down at the moment of use. Its not like you can prep the "aim" and then save it. MAYBE if it cost 2 AP to use or something, but it doesn't say that. Secondly, guns don't really need this kind of improvement.--[[User:Pesatyel|Pesatyel]] 03:26, 1 January 2009 (UTC)

20081231 Iron Sights
Blake Firedancer T E RNL? P.I.S.I.T. 09:58, 31 December 2008 (UTC)
Suggestion type
Zombie Hunter Skill
Suggestion scope
Survivors above level 10
Suggestion description
Adds a new skill, called Iron Sights. The skill would be priced the same as the current Zombie Hunter skill Headshot (100XP)
In terms of flavour, it could be considered that the longer-lasting survivors have now become 'adjusted' to the horrors of the zombie outbreak, and as such are now no longer panicking as much when faced with the undead, allowing them to carefully place their shots.
Iron Sights allows you to use the iron sights on any firearm (Pistol, Shotgun and any that are implemented later) for a 10% accuracy boost. For the interest of fairness, Flare Guns shall not be considered to have iron sights as they are not intended to be fired at specific targets.
Purchasing Iron Sights adds a new drop-down menu, called Aim. There are two options in this menu; Pistol and Shotgun. Clicking Aim will increase the accuracy of the selected gun by 10%, and deducts 1AP. The percentage is lowered again following the player's next action, meaning that the accuracy boost is only available for one shot.
Although this increases the overall damage-per-bullet amount, it also decreases the amount of times you will be able to fire for any given AP value by almost 50%.
Being attacked whilst aiming will cause you to lose the bonus. Going idle does not affect it.
If you do not have a particular gun (i.e. you are not carrying a shotgun) it will not be in the menu. If you do not have any gun, the menu will not appear.
In-game text would read:
- (Aiming the weapon) You raise your (Aimed weapon) to your eye, using the iron sights to aim.
- (Being attacked while aiming) (In-game text for attack), breaking your aim.
- (Aim being broken by motion) Lowering your (Aimed weapon), you move (direction/inside/outside)
- (Aim being broken by another action) Lowering your (Aimed weapon) first, (text describing action)
- (Attacked with aimed weapon) Aiming carefully, (In-game text for attack)
