PK’er Olympics
In honor of the coming summer Olympics – I propose an event that we could either do within Red Rum, or even better, versus the PK’er community. I have some ideas for graphics, which I can work on, but I’d need help with some of the management and ideas for awards, other rules to make it fair, monitoring, etc. Mostly I think it would be bragging rights, and the right to say, “I won the gold!”
Did I say I would need help? Not only participation, but help pulling together a panel of judges that would seem unbiased, help verifying entries, etc.
All event performances confirmed with screen shots. The events would run three a week (or more events per week if folks have other good ideas) for the month of August.
No Doping – as in don’t make dopes out of us and yourselves by trying to cheat. The idea is FUN, and just like in the real world, sports suck when people cheat at them.
Individual Events
- Decap-a-lon – most wins in any 10 events. The individual would have had to be a player on the hockey team and/or the baseball team, and/or the leap frog - at least one team event.
- Sprint – most kills in a 24 hour period. No other rules.
- Marathon – most kills in a week
- Biathalon – Most kills with different weapons in a week
- Long Jump – greatest distance between two kills in a 24 hour period
- Dead Lift – Most kills in a single building
- Fencing – most known bounty hunters killed with a fencing foil in a week
- Pole Vault – most kills in contiguous suburbs (1 per suburb) with a pool cue in a week
- Shot put – most headshots on the street in a week
- Boxing - most kills by punch in a week
Team Events
- Leap Frog Relay – Kills in adjacent suburbs – two members of a PK group in the same room – he leaves and kills another in adjacent suburb where another group member is residing and so on. Longest chain wins.
- Hockey team – most kills by a group with hockey sticks in a week
- Baseball – most kills by a group with baseball bats in a week
Alternately, there could be planned ‘games’ vs. other groups if there were enough interest. Groups meet at a prescribed time with elected team members and most kills of the other team wins. In this event, several buildings could be the 'diamond' or the 'rink' with a few members stashed in each building playing 'positions' with the option to move to other buildings if they have cleared their own and have AP left to help another part of the 'field.'
