Suggestion scope
Stadiums

Suggestion description
After disasters, such as New Orleans' hurricane Katrina, stadiums are often used to house refugees displaced from their homes. Medical supplies are flown in to take care of the larger number of victims.

I propose that at the beginning of the outbreak the stadiums were briefly used for this purpose, and a large number of first-aid kits flown in. Leftover FAKs are still there.

I suggest that FAKs be found in stadiums at a rate 2/3rds that of hospitals. This isn't really designed to be a survivor buff since stadiums are few and far between, rather it's meant to make stadiums themselves a little more interesting. Here's my logic:

1. Being another large building with useful resources kind of makes stadiums malls on hard mode. There would finally be an incentive to defend them, but surviving a siege would be more of a challenge without ammunition or high search rates.
2. Malls have had their FAK search rates lowered. Perhaps 2/3rd of a hospital is now equivalent or higher than searching a mall drug store without Bargain Hunting. This might make stadiums the newbie mall, ideal for those without search or firearms skills.
3. Stadiums would be a great place to find FAKs in an zombie controlled suburb. One zombie can stop a hospital from being fixed. It would take at least one in each corner to guard a stadium, making it an easier place to raid by popping in, quickly repairing and searching one corner, then withdrawing.

As I said, this isn't game changing. There are only 4 stadiums and giving them a modest FAK search rate won't turn any tide. This isn't to change how survivors get FAKs, it's just to cause some action around the stadiums.

Keep Votes

  1. Keep - Stadiums will eventually be used for something more interesting, and this is a step in that direction. -- Galaxy125 20:34, 18 December 2008 (UTC)

Kill Votes

  1. Kill - What I said on your previous suggestion, stadiums are just their for flavor, such a small find rate won't make them worth much anyway (especially if hospitals are close,) and we have enough TRP's already. Linkthewindow  Talk  03:11, 18 December 2008 (UTC)
Re This isn't to make a stadium better than a hospital. It wouldn't be. But it has its purposes as I list above.--A Big F'ing Dog 04:12, 18 December 2008 (UTC)
  2. Kill - Hurricane, yes, but I'm not so sure you'd be packing people into a stadium during an apparent pandemic. Interesting line of thought, though.--Jiangyingzi 03:39, 18 December 2008 (UTC)
Re Hey, I never said that it was a good idea. The government followed its standard disaster response. Hmm, I wonder why so many of those FAKs were left unused... --A Big F'ing Dog 04:10, 18 December 2008 (UTC)
  3. Kill - I just dont think its needed --mo ヽ(´ー`)ノ MCM MOB DB 06:50, 18 December 2008 (UTC)
  4. Kill - I think the search rates should be lower, but it isn't really needed anyway. --ZsL 14:16, 19 December 2008 (UTC)

Spam/Dupe Votes

Spam - It's been three years, and they're finding these (hypothetical) FAKs now??? Gimme a break. Stop trying to make non-descripts into mini-malls, okay? Some buildings are supposed to be close to useless for restocking. --07:07, 18 December 2008 (UTC) Unsigned vote struck Linkthewindow  Talk  13:03, 18 December 2008 (UTC)
  1. Spam - plenty of hospitals about (Malton is a sick place), that's where you look for medical supplies... not malls, not cathedrals... not stadiums -- boxy talkteh rulz 13:40 18 December 2008 (BST)
