Dartside is a suburb of Malton, located in the south of the city. In times past, it was a industrial and working-class neighborhood, inhabited, like Greentown, largely by immigrants or the close descendents thereof. After the industrial boom ceased in the '50s, the suburb fell on hard times, with only four of the factories remaining open and the empty lots turning into wasteland by the mid-'70s. Although experience economic difficulties, Dartside retained a large number of railroads, which during its better days carried raw materials to the factories and finished good away. The suburb has a high number of hospitals. Before the outbreak, it had the 4th largest population of all suburbs.

Overcading still an issue. Survivor groups may need to come together to ensure that the barricade plan (or something like it) is working. Likewise, certain revive points (Abarrow; Crumpler) are turing into shooting galleries. Save your ammo, folks. Overbarricading is still a problem. Shapr, Blakesley, and Brailsford stations are all still EHB. St. Jeremy's and St. Faustina's are also EHB. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Bazagra (talkcontribs) at an unknown time.

Overbarricading is still a really serious problem. It is becoming difficult to do anything but hang around the same building. Everywhere I go I am hindered by EHBs. Ted Blackheart 22:43, 8 December 2008 (UTC)

Overbarricading is becoming a really serious problem. Most of the entrance points are blocked. Should a survivor decide to leave his/her safehouse it might be impossible to reenter it. Overbarricading is actually helping the zombies. Ted Blackheart 22:43, 8 December 2008 (UTC)

December 4th

At least 30 zombies have entered the neighborhood from the SE, with some attacks especially at the hospitals. Changing status to Moderate. --ZaqWer 15:09, 4 December 2008 (UTC)

December 2nd

The suburb continues to suffer from overbarricading, leaving many inexperienced survivors unable to seek refuge at night, leaving them at the mercy of the steadily growing number of the undead in the suburb. Much of the suburb remains powered and barricaded, but again is overbarricaded. Safe. - Cdr Chaos 1640, 3 December 2008

At least 4 zombies on the streets, but slightly outnumbered by wandering survivors. 15 of the 17 Tactical Resource Points are powered, but a single hospital (of 7) and factory (of 4) are not. Much of the general suburb is powered. Safe. --Funt Solo QT Scotland flag.JPG 17:04, 2 October 2008 (BST)

Barricade Policy

The Chems and other individuals who operate in Dartside have come up with a temporary barricade plan for the area. It has been proposed to facilitate the recovery of Dartside and surrounding suburbs and is not meant to be the final barricade plan (although it could be).
