I'm getting a lot of radio messages at 28.01 MHz about Monroeville Mall being under attack, like this one: "28.01 MHz: "Monroeville Mall Under Attack. Came from nowhere. Send help!" (1 hour and 2 minutes ago)" Can anyone confirm? —The preceding Wikipedia:Signatures comment was added by Itrade (talk • contribs) 05:30, 10 March 2008.

Well, there are quite a few break-ins, but nothing major. --CWisGood 07:08, 10 March 2008 (UTC)

I'd be happy to put up a locations table in here, if only someone would show me how to make a map that huge. Also, if someone could play around with that image (reverse the colors, make it bigger, etc) that'd be awesome. Jordan Salafack 07:09, 28 February 2008 (UTC)

First Thoughts

How on earth to defend this adequately? With no neighbouring buildings at all, how are people going to gain access once the barricades go up? The only answer is to designate one part of it as maximum VS+2...but that will make it easy for zombies to break in once they get half decent numbers.

It'll only take one bit of over zealous barricading to leave survivors stranded in the surrounding car parks too.....this building poses a very interesting tactical problem, that's for sure. MoyesT RPM 14:24, 28 February 2008 (UTC)

In a city without NTs? I would wage a guess that no such important place can be defended at all. Even before the introduction of the latest set of rules a mall siege in Malton was difficult for the human side, with Zeds blocking the doors now, with the predicted unwillingness to serve as a meat shield combined with the low number of high level survivors (i even doubt we will get much zombie hunters) we will have and the absolute ability of Zeds to gain every good skill quite easily (except body building)... Well i would wage the guess that malls and in fact any large structures of importance are doomed. Its only for now that we have an edge on the Zombies, but once their leveling gains momentum... --Theokrat 15:36, 28 February 2008 (UTC)

Simply, don't defend it. Keep the cades to VSB+2 and powered, but turn tail at sign of a break in or a horde. Uber River Tactics. --BoboTalkClown 20:03, 29 February 2008 (UTC)

Well said. --PdeqTalk* 20:09, 29 February 2008 (UTC)
With its zombie film heritage, its a prestige target for us. We're just waiting for a crazy biker gang to open all the doors for us. It it 1 huge building or lots of little ones joined together? --RosslessnessWant a Location Image? 20:13, 29 February 2008 (UTC)
It is one large oddly shaped building, and probably the most well-known on the map. Currently, some parts of it are still not caded at all. --PdeqTalk* 20:14, 29 February 2008 (UTC)
"Simply, don't defend it." - Exactly. It's pretty much like a Zombie movie. If there's one or two Zombies, you can try to fight back - but once a large group has broken in, GTFO. TheUncleBob 01:16, 1 March 2008 (UTC)
Here's an idea. Don't hide in Malls. It doesn't work in Malton, it won't work in Monroeville. --Sonny Corleone RRF DORIS CRF MOB pr0n 01:17, 1 March 2008 (UTC)

Barricade plan

Well i suggest to get the whole thing to EHB, with the exception of the centermost block, to serve as an entry point. Its the point one can monitor the best (no one can watch the whole mall at the same time, but unless you are in the very far corners you always see the middle) and its equally distant to all directions, so a survivor coming from the south would not have to wakl all the way to the northern corner to find an entry point. What do you think? --Theokrat 11:18, 1 March 2008 (UTC)

i concur. and i love this no free running super mall...shame my only Monroeville character isn't near the mall...--xoxo 10:30, 2 March 2008 (UTC)

The real mall

I drove to Pittsburgh on business yesterday and stopped in Monroeville on the way back to check it out. There are no gun stores in the mall there (to my great disappointment), and I didn't see anything zombie related except for the mindless teenage shoppers. I took some pictures with the camera on my phone, feel free to crop this one and use it as desired for the wiki page. --DonTickles 14:51, 5 March 2008 (UTC)

I'm currently attacking the trenchies in the mall with my pker char. --Violent-kun 02:21, 15 March 2008 (UTC)
every one loves a PKer. or maybe its just us zeds. --Bullgod 02:23, 15 March 2008 (UTC)

Nothing to worry about? You're getting screwed over. DillyDally 09:24, 20 March 2008 (UTC)
