December

December 18 Pole is so far safe and sound, there was a recent helicopter flyby. Aside from that, it's currently safe for survivors --Kuji Muji 2:00pm, 18 December 2008 (EST)

December 7th Retaken by survivors, but we need more bodies to defend it. Join us!--Warmarshal 17:10, 7 December 2008 (UTC)

December 1st Mall is overrun by zombies (7 south, 10 North, 16 Northeast). There are 6 survivors remaining in the North West side, but they will not hold out for much longer with those numbers. PSS is organizing a retake before the zeds do too much damage. --Warmarshal 23:29, 1 December 2008 (UTC)

November

November 26th Mall is safe and controlled by survivors, but there are plenty of zeds around. --Mrs Jolie 11:18, 26 november 2008 (GMT)

November 12th Mall is Under Attack with 11 zombies N-W corner. --Rafaelp 00:22, 12 November 2008 (UTC)

November 2nd Mall is Safe with S-E corner needing a new generator (Mother f'n GKrs)--bhuwannabe 17:58, 2 November 2008 (UTC)

October

October 31st Members from the RRF's Team America were spotted in the NW corner of the mall. Strangely they were not craving bra!nz but instead were asking for "ganbah" , dancing, and repeating something that sounded a whole lot like Happy Halloween! It indeed baffled some survivors, but others knew just what to do! They gave the little zombies the ganbah they were looking for and sent them on their merry way. Oh the strange things Halloween Night brings. -- Zoey Zarg 05:28, 1 November 2008 (UTC)

October 15th The mall is barricaded, no sign of zeds outside. Fully powered. Couple of survivors inside. Everything looks dandy, at the moment. --Kuji Muji 7:55pm, 15 October 2008 (EST)

September

September 19th The mall has been completely retaken with no zeds outside and fully powered... not many survivors inside though.--bhuwannabe 22:21, 19 September 2008 (BST)

September 17th The mall has been retaken and lit in 2 of the 3 corners. Only a few zeds outside... currently needs survivors to help defend it! -- Lucy Daniels 01:02, September 17, 2008 (EST)

September 13th Section [53,80] of the mall has been breached by 20 zombies. -- Salamanca 04:06, September 13, 2008 (GMT)

September 12th Pole Mall is back in survivor hands. -- Salamanca 16:58, 12 September 2008 (GMT)

September 11th It's been an amazing thing to watch this stalemate between Survivor and Zombie, whenever the status of Pole Mall changes, be it sealed by barricades, or ruined by zombies, it's changed every couple of hours. Just when the survivors start to retake the mall, zombies come to reclaim it, and when those zeds get bored and leave, a small group of humans come to evict those remaining. It would seem that the zeds are using Clapton Stadium as a fallback spot when they're purged from the mall, so if the survivors truly want to pull out a victory, they're going to have to go to the nearby Stadium and fight them there.--Lancun 00:16, 11 September 2008 (EST)

September 9th The mall is under zombie hands *possibly ransacked* with the stadium cleared out in all corners and a total of 27 in the cemetery S-E of the stadium waiting to be revived and for reinforcements to arrive and clean the mall up and destroy any zombies in the way!--bhuwannabe 22:21, 9 September 2008 (BST)

September 7th The mall lies in ruins under the combined might of the Militant Order of Barhah and it's feral cloud. There are plenty of viable targets left in the immediate area --TouchingVirus 18:19, 7 September 2008 (BST)

September 6th The mall is being hit by repeated break-ins, but so far all attacks have been repelled. All the same, Pole Mall could benefit from additional defenders; bisfan has been spotted ?rising in the area. --RichterFury 08:08, 6 September 2008 (BST)

Pole Mall's North-West corner has fallen to the might of the Militant Order of Barhah. There are currently around 85 survivors spread throughout the remaining mall and rumours of several inside the stadium to the South-West. The number of casualties/barhah-enlightened is already in the high forties and rising with each wave of attack. The mall is completed dark now, the humm of a generator can't be heard anywhere. Sights of grogh and bisfan only improve their celebrity status amongst the MOB and improve morale. Of course, RichterFury should know that the MOB ?rises to any occassaion - see what I did there? - Seriously, no more freebies... All feral zombies in the area are encouraged to come to the mall and participate in the glorious feast we have prepared -- TouchingVirus 13:00, 6 September 2008 (BST)

September 5th Nine zombies in the northwest corner, barricades there are down, also many zeds in the blocks around the mall.-- User: deathdaniel2 Friday, 5 September 2008 14:50 GMT

It appears that the Militant Order of Barhah has arrived at Pole Mall. Let's be sure to welcome them with open arms, and many tasty "BRA!NZ!!!"--Jcarnell 16:09, 5 September 2008 (BST)

September 3rd Sections [53,80], [53,81] of Pole Mall have both been breached by 1 zombie. The zombie in Section [53,81] has been cleared. The zombie in Section [53,80] is still at large. Section [53,81] barricade level at EHB while section [53,80] barricade level is at VSB. Generator status for all three sections of Pole Mall is unconfirmed.-- Salamanca Thursday, 4 September 2008 04:48: GMT

250+ Zeds inside the Mall, 58 survivors in SE corner
The Dead thanks the survivors of Pole Mall for their aid in allowing us to kill two malls within 24 hours, we wouldn't have been able to do it without you. --Zambargh the Ravener 17:56, 7 March 2008 (UTC)
I compliment you on the use of your massive mob tactics in attacking taking pole mall.It was a pleasure dying to such an organized and HUGE horde.--KorgleFlorsh 12:27 March 7 (CST)
Correction. There are currently roughly 300 zed inside the mall and another 100-150 standing outside outside. --KorgleFlorsh12:29 March 7 (CST)

March 6th I've requested the assistance of Phoenix Security Systems, who helped re-take Pole Mall after the second Big Bash. Currently their entire force is at the under siege Marven Mall, and they may not be able to lend any assistance for at least a few days, if not more. If you know of any other assistance groups that may come to our aid, please put out a distress call. We need whatever help we can get. -Eyron 19:44, 6 March 2008 (UTC)

We need to defend the mall! Get to the mall! Our numbers will protect us from the zombies! We have over 250 armed men and women willing to fight bravely to the last! --David Miscarriage 08:38, 6 March 2008 (UTC)
Purt Walk Fire Station (Pole Mall Entrance) is ruined, zombies inside and out. Zombies surrounding mall itself. Wouldn't be surprised to see 'cades fall within the next 24 to 48 hours. Let's build up and request assistance as much as possible. --Eyron 08:12, 6 March 2008 (UTC)

March 5th Over 100 zombies in West Grayside, a small mob of 13 outside Pole Mall. -Pug

Saw a large amount of zombies ransacking buildings a few NW of here. Graffiti seen inside mall pointing to a large scale attack. Prepare for siege. --Eyron 08:56, 5 March 2008 (UTC)

February

February 15th There are rumors of a mob of zombies coming. (the same one that crippled the northern Kempsterbank). Intercept the mob before it reaches Pole Mall. Prepare for siege. -- Douchette

February 7th 2008 The nearby entry way Purt Walk FS is now fallen. It is ruined, with 16 zeds inside. Use another entryway. --Douchette

January

January 30th 2008

Mall is safe.. as usual.. there was a minor break in at the entrance at the arms pub a day or two ago, but that's about it. You might find some zeds scattered around the place, but besides that.. it's really quiet

-Evilelf4

January 22nd 2008

Mall is safe.. there's around 50 people or so on each block.. some zeds scattered around the area, but if you're around here then you'll probably have a semi hard time finding some action. Been really quiet lately, but that's about it..

November

November 25th 2007

Mall is completely safe, Dunno who set it to unknown.....--dasoldierguy

the person who watches the mall information centre did that. change it to safe, then. --WanYao 03:16, 14 December 2007 (UTC)

Survivors have begun the ugly work of cleaning blood and entrails from the interior of the mall. --WanYao

November 21st 2007

Told you so. One part of the mall out of the three is ransacked, with twelve zombies outside. All of clapton stadium is ransacked. The zombies have established a large area around the mall, most buildings near it are ransacked. They seem to be highly organised, only around half a minute passed before My safehouse barricades where brought down, and my safehouse is not that close to the mall. I managed to escape with low hp, but the other person in the building was not so lucky...anyways, I suggest that if you are in a building close to the mall that has not been ransacked yet, either migrate north for a while, or help out at the mall...with one side down, things arent looking good! --Happy doodle 18:14, 21 November 2007 (UTC)

The mall is now in zombie hands. all corners ransacked, 33 zombies outside, 81 inside.--Dwpplayer 07:33, 22 November 2007 (UTC)

November 20th 2007
Pole Mall is now under attack by the Big Bash. So far, the human resistance has repelled the break-ins, but the attacks will only intensify. For now, all corners are barricaded and zed free. Phoenix Security Services has moved in to help defend Pole Mall.--Dr Doom86 00:24, 21 November 2007 (UTC)

Major break-in. 29 zombies in nw corner, 9 in the south block. 'cades up to ehb. no power in the mall at all. many wounded. we need help!--Dwpplayer 04:12, 21 November 2007 (UTC)

November 18th 2007 Just a warning, I believe there is a imminent zombie attack incoming from the east. Whether it is a large scale organised attack or not, I dont know, but a number of building are getting ransacked and small groups of zombies are around...be prepared...--Happy doodle 17:36, 18 November 2007 (UTC)

I agree with happy doodle. Saw 11 zeds outside of the se corner of the mall. I think they'll try to break in through that corner. 4 people waiting for revives at a cemetary.--Dwpplayer 04:49, 19 November 2007 (UTC)

October

October 26th, 2007 Looking for the perfect costume for Halloween? Look no further than Pole mall for the best selection of ransacked racks. A multitude of masks, major make up and wacked out wigs can complete your ensemble whether you'll be clubbing or attending one of the many parties throughout West Greyside. Starting November first look for Martha Stewart's line of "Thank God I am not a zombie" decor for Thanksgiving.

October 10th, 2007 North-west corner powered and extremely heavily barricaded. North-east corner: 11 zeds, southern corner: 4 zeds. --Slartibartfast 16:33, 10 October 2007 (BST)

October 9th, 2007 north-west corner: 6 zeds,north-east corner: 16 zeds, southern corner: 20 zeds. We´ve got to regain Pole Mall, it is the key for the safety of the whole area! --Slartibartfast 11:44, 9 October 2007 (BST)

October 7th, 2007 All 3 corners of Pole Mall are still ruined. Numbers inside range from 20-30. The Stadium is also ruined, as well as the Young Husband Arms. Reinforcements are needed, we can take back this area! BenderWaW 12:36, 7 October 2007 (BST)

October 3rd, 2007 About 27 zed in the NW corner of the mall , 150+ zeds approacing from southern corner --Avalon01 15:44, 3 October 2007 (BST)

October 1st, 2007 Pole mall is under the heat of zed invasion once again as recent observation places roughly 40-45 zeds in the NW corner. There's still a strong human presence, but the breach is complete. Stadium looks to still be EHB.-StumpChunkman 20:34

September

September 27th, 2007 Pole mall is once again in safe human hands. After LUE's rampage we have fully took back the stadium also. A quick re-con has shown not very many zed's nearby. We urge past memebers to return to the mall.-AuronDX 11:41

September 10th, 2007 I think its about time we rethink our strategy...they took the mall so easily, we didn't even make the siege last long at all...-dasoldierguy

No mall to date has made a LUE siege last longer than about 40 hours, so you're certainly not the first or the last. Shaggy123 15:38, 11 September 2007 (BST)

"September 9th, 2007" Pole Mall has once again fallen into zombie hands, there's about 50 zeds in each block of the mall, each block of the mall has been ruined aswell http://wiki.urbandead.com/images/c/cd/Polemallruin.png -Chezwam

September 9th, 2007 Now there's about 11 zeds outside Pole Mall and 36 inside. It looks like this is it for good ol' Pole. I myself was just killed; it was done by a LUE member. I guess all those rumors were true. --Hhal 00:19, 9 September 2007 (BST)

The NorthWest third is now ruined, with over 55 zombies inside the mall currently. - Brona 00:40, 9 September 2007 (BST)
Seventy now, and soon they'll probably hit the other two corners for another tasty snack. I got this on my way out. iWitness report Italus 02:13, 9 September 2007 (BST)
I sure hope we can reclaim the mall, however difficult it may be. One thing's for sure though, this had to be an incredibly well-organized raid. Darth Elsij 02:46, 9 September 2007 (BST)
Last I saw there are 110 zeds at the NW corner, and the NE corner has about 8 zeds. Time for Glorious Battle! Sig Sauer.jpg P02 Samuel  Talk to me! Stop that asshole!PoleCatsSig Sauer.jpg 09:47, 9 September 2007 (BST)
In the NE corner there are only 2 zeds, but there are few survivors: we need assistance. ccatrame 09:59, 9 September 2007 (BST) Update: NE corner is fallen. 13:57 (BST)
Me and 21 other zombies are eagerly awaiting revives at (52,83) cemetery, but no one's really helping us, probably because everyone is busy with defending NW Pole Mall. No matter, though, the second I am revived, I will come and help too. I also assume that WG is now at the "Dangerous" level because of the recent attacks? --Darth Elsij 23:39, 9 September 2007 (BST)

September 8th, 2007

Major break in at Poll Mall. 34 zeds inside the top-left corner. None in other corners. Only the top right is powered. Survivors are taking shelter in Clapton Stadium.--Nallan 00:42, 8 September 2007 (BST)

There are now over 60 zombies inside the Northwest corner. - Brona 06:34, 8 September 2007 (BST)
There are now zero zombies inside the mall, and power has been fully restored. (For how long is anyone's guess.) --evilbob 20:46, 8 September 2007 (BST)

September 3rd, 2007

The siege has ended. The survivors have prevailed! Pole mall is once again lit and operational. And the Orange Julius has arrived! There are 3 zed at Put fire station but there is about 100 people in the mall proper defending it. --Thunderburst 11:30 am, 3 September 2007 (BST)
Have you looked outside recently? Are there still 140+ dead bodies, lots of them LUE contacts you've added over the last few days? The siege is most assuredly not over... The defenders do really appreciate the Orange Juliuses, though, thanks a lot!! --WanYao 23:42, 3 September 2007 (BST)
Apparently the whole of the LUE are in the newly destroyed mall in Tollyton. So if thats what you afraid of, consider yourself safe for now.DanceDanceRevolution 07:07, 5 September 2007 (BST)
less disco, more literacy!! :P see below, we've already discussed this... --WanYao 07:13, 5 September 2007 (BST)

And the siege begins once again. As those clinging to the last of their life fled the north west corner of Pole Mall, reports have come telling of the few brave souls clinging to the forsaken territory as the zed masses filled the corner. - Majii 00:22, 3 September 2007 (BST)

Currently, there are 17 zed in Nw conner of Pole. Nevertheless the rest is powered up. This piece of info cost me 10 hp as I am infected and just rezzed.--Thunderburst 1:16, 3 September 2007 (BST)
Looks like the mall got some reinforcements (myself included) and i see many active battle ready people in case of any more break ins. Revives running smoothly. --Doctor Oberman 00:18, 4 September 2007 (BST)

We've held it! We win! The OJ's have arrived, there are no zeds at revive points, and the mall has received reinforcements, next mall coming under heavy attack is Hildebrand in Roftwood, where the LUE apparently, have just hit, and have taken the southern half of the mall.-- EchelonThree 13:34, 4 September 2007 (BST)

Its good the survivors scored a much needed victory due to all the malls that have fallen. LUE is now 3 suburbs up. The 140 some bodies dropped down to 49 hours earlier. Good work pole mall defenders.--Doctor Oberman 23:34, 4 September 2007 (BST)

I don't know what you guys are talking about, we just ransacked Tynte Mall. And no, we aren't attacking Hildebrand Mall now either. - Brona 00:26, 5 September 2007 (BST)

Zombies with LUE in their group affiliation -- several of them -- have been seen spearheading the attack on Pole Mall... I can provide you with the Iwitnesses to prove it. Perhaps it's a splinter group, or members who wandered off. Perhaps they aren't even really LUE and you have LUE imposters running around town. However, they've been in 'hood... --WanYao 01:18, 5 September 2007 (BST)

LUE might have just taken some of thier lower level members down to Pole as a side trip, like they did with Marven not too long ago. I saw Vito Mortis's dead body yesterday and now its gone. Although Pole might not have been the ultimate goal its still technically a victory due for us.--Doctor Oberman 01:29, 5 September 2007 (BST)
Agreed. A horde attacked the mall several nights in a row, breakins happened but were small and fairly quickly repelled. Casualties were minimal and no section of the mall was ever ransacked -- only a few gennies got destroyed. Sounds like a victory to me... :) --WanYao 01:41, 5 September 2007 (BST)

September 2nd, 2007

The single biggest problem with the defense of Pole right now is that survivors are not spreading out evenly throughout the mall. 100+ in the SE corner, 60+ in the NE -- and a couple dozen defenders in the NW! Pole will fall if this doesn't change. And all the mall rats in the SE will be drumming on their own empty cranial cavities in consequence... --WanYao 03:38, 2 September 2007 (BST)

Survivor stupidity will be the downfall of Pole... of Malton. Italus 04:46, 2 September 2007 (BST)
............. you know, I think we're just really lucky. Despite overwhelming idiocy and lack of a full defense of the Mall, it looks like Pole remains in human hands for another day.... Italus 05:39, 2 September 2007 (BST)

September 1st, 2007

I feel confident that the cycle of attack-attack-attack will begin again soon. When they do come, we'll do our best and beat them down and dump them out again, and again, and again, and as many times as are needed. All WG groups are urged to get to Pole and help us in the defense of our unique Tetris-shaped Mall. EDIT FOR NPOV: Grab mah manbagz, harmanz!!!!!!!one111one!!!!!1 Italus 23:17, 1 September 2007 (BST)

dasoldierguy We need AS MANY PEOPLE AS POSSIBLE in the northwest corner, zombies constantly outnumber survivors, and half of them are near death... Situtation does not look good unless we can get at least 20 , if not more survivors in there quick.

August

August 31st, 2007
The Zed forces are once again making a push on Pole Mall. (52, 80) currently has no less than 30 Zeds already within the building. We are asking that all support personnel begin the rebuilding and dumping of corpses. At this time we will be using (53, 81) as an emergency triage for all injured combatants. Majii 01:36, 31 August 2007 (BST)

We will resist to our last breath, but I have already taken mine. This battle is close. Italus 02:24, 31 August 2007 (BST)
We are pushing through the exhaustion. We request any and all in the area to come to the aid of Pole Mall. (52, 80) is still fighting diligently against the invaders and we could use more medical personnel in (53, 81). Majii 02:53, 31 August 2007 (BST)
iWitness Updates, (52, 80) has slowly been able to push back the hordes as the barricades have been rebuilt around us all. Reports have come in that there are another 20~ zeds outside the walls of (52, 80). We are in need of new generators and combat personnel. Majii 03:22, 31 August 2007 (BST)
Corpse report from a revififying Watchman. Man, this is the most exciting thing to happen in my month-and-a-half career in UD.... Italus 05:22, 31 August 2007 (BST)
This is FUN, I'm racking up loads of kills! Only 15 zeds to go, body count outside left corner - 107-- EchelonThree 13:22, 31 August 2007 (BST)
Status Update All corpses have been dumped, and rebuilding has begun. Everyone in need of medical attention is urged to report to {53, 81). Everyone else continue your efforts to rebuild. The Zeds are at the walls and preparing for another offensive. Majii 11:03, 31 August 2007 (BST)

Here we go again... Italus 01:28, 1 September 2007 (BST)

August 29th, 2007
To arms, all human forces! Zeds have breached the northwest corner of Pole Mall. Looks like something interesting finally happened... battle rages as of this moment. It's not looking really cheery over there. Italus 02:49, 30 August 2007 (BST)

The battle is over, for the moment. Pole remains firmly in survivor hands. Further updates will come as events unfold. All citizens are encouraged to scan any zeds they see and report information about active enemy groups to the Watch and other forces. Italus 21:36, 30 August 2007 (BST)

August 15th, 2007
There seems to be significant zombie activity in southern Kempsterbank. The Dobbs Building is currently EHB but lacking a generator, and most of the surrounding buildings are ransacked. This could be a precursor to a large-scale invasion, so remain alert. Polecat1 15:51, 15 August 2007 (BST)

At least it's something to do besides argue with propagandists and hunt PKers. Italus 00:36, 19 August 2007 (BST)

August 11th, 2007
Reports of the Mall falling are greatly exaggerated (READ: Lies.) Italus 03:26, 12 August 2007 (BST)

August 9th, 2007
As expected, the number of PKings appears to be going up. Damn, peace for a few days and already people are driven to such acts. Some surviving they're doing. Italus 04:52, 10 August 2007 (BST)

All continues to be well.... no reports of pretty much anything bad throughout the entire suburb. The mall has at least 50 humans in it at all times, and is EHB and powered. Everything's looking good, and remember- no news is good news, but it's also inordinately dull. Italus 20:36, 8 August 2007 (BST)

I don't know why no one bothered to post this, but human forces now control Pole Mall again, without doubt. Just, you know, making it official. Italus 19:56, 28 July 2007 (BST)

Warnings unheeded, Pole Mall falls to LUE and numerous ferals a few hours after the siege began. About 150 survivor casualties in the mall itself.--Insomniac By Choice 09:33, 21 July 2007 (BST)

Warning LUE horde present in Scarletwood, Gulsonside and Wray heights. They are pausing and regrouping, before heading west. POLE mall is at risk. GET prepared you guys. --Weekendwarrior 10:36, 19 July 2007 (BST)

April 25th, 2007
A suburb can only be zmashed for so long, and pole mall is back to normal, and now, with mall tour having killed everything and disbanded, there isnt any real threat to it. The mall population has increased sharply the past few days, as a lot of players from the northwest suburbs are using river tactics and retreating to pole. a small group of zombies outside the SE, but they don't really do much. and...uh..thats about it. - Random guy, whatever whatever 2007 GMT

April 12th, 2007

  • 178 Zombies outside the wide open doors of the NW corner. 62 Inside the ransacked NW corner, 97 inside the NE corner facing a diminishing number of survivors. Like a rotting thunderclap the Mall Tour tears through another suvivor enclave. Is no mall safe? Can the Mall Tour be stopped? Terrified survivors at Pole Mall will have little time to ponder these questions as their drug into the street or killed where they stand. --Electrasol 13:03, 12 April 2007 (BST)

Update: 60 zombies have infested the nortwest corners and survivor numbers are down to 5. Brave though the defenders may have been, shooting zombies out in the open seems like the idea of a suicidal madman. Look at the maths: A fully shotgun equipped zombie hunter can kill 3 zeds for a total zedside loss of 9 hours -- how long does it take the zombie hunter to resupply? At least longer than a day... Putridus, 7:20 GMT, April 12th 2007

Update: 10 harmanz left against 65 zambahz in the NW corner. Grab some bra!nz while the grabbin's good, 'cause Pole Mall's gonna be emptied out pretty soon.--MmmBrainsss 05:54, 12 April 2007 (BST)

As of the early morning hours, the zombie mass surpassed 240 brathars. This will be a bloody battle indeed: the body count has reached 180 down. 1:27 GMT+2, 12 April 2007 (BST)

[12:34 UTC] Doors are open, 30+ zeds in the NW corner. Reinforcements would be nice. -O
[12:42 UTC] Mall appears to be VHB again. 180 bodies, mine inclusive; 235 zeds outside. -O

April 11th, 2007
Frequently waves of the living dead come crashing through the barricades. The 63 defenders of the NW corner stand bravely against two hundred and thirty so zombies outside and the couple of dozen that made it through during the latest breach. Zambahs and gentlemen the struggle for Pole Mall enters its most critical hour, if the defenders have the supply line and fortitude to regroup from these breakins we could have a real battle on our hands, otherwise it could be over by morning.--Electrasol 17:32, 11 April 2007 (BST)

Over 200 of our brahars are standing otuside the bazaar, all eager to get their hands on the new Nintendo DS Lite in Brain Rot Green that was rumoured to have been shipped to Pole Mall. 11:28, 11 April 2007 (BST)

As of this post, all zed's inside the Mall have been repelled, NW Corner at VHB. The survivors have done well thus far, but without major reinforcements soon, Pole could become a slaughter house.--Greg Melayne 21:32, 11 April 2007 (BST)

April 10th, 2007

193 Zombies hammering on the barricades at Pole Mall now. A clearly organized and stout defence has been formed by the survivors inside. Ferals and Mall Tour stragglers will continue to arrive for some time. This one's just starting to get interesting. Developing... --Electrasol 05:59, 11 April 2007 (BST)

The stout defenders of Pole Mall have an outgoing strategy; lots of bodies mark the northwest corner of Pole Mall and 9 out of 10 are tourists having received a headshot from the Pole rangers. On the other hand, Mall Tour seems slow in gathering strength. It is this author's opinion that the April Fool joke has backfired on the Tour and greatly diminished its strength. Zombie-Survivor ratios are now as low as 54-46 from a high of 58-42 only a week ago. Putridus, 6:10, April 10th 2007

A small breach just took place. Infecters are spreading the love. Im in ur mall, eatin ur brains! Just you wait harmans, well getcha, the tour is far from over! 21:22, 10 April 2007 (BST)

-Update- That small breach just got a LOT bigger. 31 zeds inside the mall! Looks like about everyone in the NW corner has been vivsisted by hugging&kissing zombies, and groans are attracting ferals from all over. BARHAH!

-Update- Barricades are up and the breach is down to 12 zeds. Over 80 humans still alive in the NW corner. The mall's not done yet. Update Update-- The break-in is now pretty much completely sealed up, cades are back to EHB, and most harmanz are healed. You're right ,these defended are pretty tough, probably the best we've fought since Stickling. I have never seen a 35-zombie breakin completely turned back like that. This mall might last for a while

April 9th, 2007

One end of the mall has been infiltrated by zombies. Bra!nz for food! BARHAH! -Kiroto, one of the Mall Tour '07 zambahs.

April 8, 2007
It is my sad duty to inform you that Pole mall is the next target of Mall tour '07, so I would prepare for the coming storm. In addition any humans in the stadium should prepare to defend the area as well. -Officer Conrad

March

March 30, 2007
The mall is very safe. There are 200+ survivors in it, and there doesn't seem to be many zombies in the surrounding blocks --Platinum Assassin 07:47, 30 March 2007 (BST)

March 24, 2007
I propose that we institute a policy of allowing no more than 15 standing zeds allowed in the Cemetery located at (52,83). I'm all for the Sacred Ground Policy but the cemetery is so close to Pole Mall that it allows the zombies to safely amass then come, bash down the 'cades, chew us up, then retreat to an area of absolute safety all within a span of 50AP. They can wait in groups of 15 for a revive and once those 15 are revived then 15 more can stand up and get their turn. -- DudicusMaximus

March 17, 2007
Zeds have all but taken the YoungHusband Arms. All mall inhabitants should brace for a full seige.

March 10, 2007
Pole Mall is in good hands, but there are some zombies gathering around it, so lookout!! If you could come and help to prevent big siege!

February

February 22, 2007
Pole Mall is in good hands for now. There is no zombie action. There is also talk of the Knights of the Templar talk... not a big threat right now. Revive point has been up and working on a regular basis.

January

January 6, 2007
Pole Mall has been selected as the venue for Punk Fest 2007.

December

December 29 2006
It seems like the entry point the Younghusband Arms has been barricaded to no way to enter, making it difficult to actually get into the mall, there is by far no zeds in the immediate area around the mall within a good 5 or 6 block radius.

November

November 14th 2006
Checked outside today, and theres no zeds in the immediate area arround the mall at all. Mall still up and running with gens and radios abounding. Now would deffinately be a good time for an organized group to launch a full scale assault on the rest of the zeds in the suburb. -BigJD

November 11th 2006
It seems that the mall is very securely in human hands. Its has power and transmitters with about 80+ humans inside. The population is heavily centered on the southern corner with about twenty in each of the northern corners. Didn't get a chance to check if there were any zeds outside, but if there were any, they were probably laying down on the job. heheh - BigJD

November 10th, 2006
Over many weeks, survivors and zombies have faught back and forth over the mall, with neither side occuppying the mall for any long periods of time. A strong enough push in numbers from either side would secure the mall for that side.

October

October 23rd, 2006
Large amounts of zombies are gathering all over the suburb. Many barricades are being broken down, and I've also noticed a ton of buildings being ransacked. Watch out.

October 10th, 2006
The mall is back in survivors' hands, but people without Free Running should still avoid the area, as the vicinity of the mall is riddled with zombies in small groups.

October 5th, 2006
The survivors of the siege are dead or scattered across the area around the mall. No retaliation strike is in planning yet.

October 4th, 2006
Mall is currently under zombie control. 3 Remaining survivors inside along with 50+ zeds...I'm willing to bet they soon become zeds.

October 3rd, 2006
Zombies from the Shacknews Zombie Horde have overrun the mall, killing dozens if not hundreds of survivors. Lamp. Sand. Lime. And Appleflappen.

August

August 5rd, 2006
For the First time since the Big Bash rolled through, Pole Mall is securely back in survivor hands. More survivors are needed though, in order to hold it for any ammount of time.

July

July 3rd, 2006
The Malton World Cup Committee, despite the match officials being heavily biased towards the zombies and a player sent off for stomping on a zee head, achieved a 4-4 draw after phenomenal performances from What's Happened, Shiv Jones and Zumm Zero. Ev2 played the goalkeeping position, and made some excellent saves despite having an injured arm, including a penalty as time expired to deny the win.

Some team members planned to escape Clapton Stadium at halftime, but the squad chose to carry on with the game and face certain death against overwhelming odds to make a point. In a bold move at full time though, the team managed to escape amidst the confusion caused by the zombie riot on the field. The current whereabouts of the Malton World Cup Committee is currently unknown, but wherever there a dream of fighting oppression against insurmountable odds, possibly with a football, rest assured they'll be there.

June

June 29th, 2006
Football FM is back on the air. Tune in to 26.21 for updates and reports by the Malton World Cup Committee live from Clapton Stadium and Pole Mall.

June 28th, 2006
Speaking today at the Malton World Cup Committee's press conference in Clapton Stadium, holding midfielder Zumm Zero called the football campaign a success so far, and pointed to the teams resolve to win the title. "The boys are rested and are now in deep preperations for Saturday's game. We're facing a tough opponent, and are just putting the finishing touches to our set piece defence, tweeking our formation slightly to accommodate some new players and generally making sure we have all the right tools to progress through to the semi-finals." Speaking about the spate of injuries suffered since the win, mostly incurred at the post-match party, and the area in general, Zumm commented: "What's Happened has shrugged off his thigh injury and will be 100% for the game, he's already up and running, putting the time in the gym. Gondo Gondo will be a match day decision. As you've probably seen, ev2 and Brando One have been blasting them away on the practice pitch so, yeah, we're feeling really confident. The ground is looking fantastic, the groundsmen have been working on it for about 5 days straight now, and the guys have even been hanging out at Pole Mall for recreation. They're happy because they can walk around it without getting hassled by roudy fans. The competitions really starting to come together for us." There were no Zombies available for comment.

June 12th, 2006 Undeadite team coaches are preparing thier star players for the upcoming match. During the prior games team uniforms and playing shoes were damaged which prompted a foray into Pole Mall for new equipment and uniforms. Upon seeing potential rivals shopping in the same store a riot errupting resulting in several injuries. The Undeadites were granted a citation for violence by local law enforcement. Fortunately, no arrests were made and the 'zamba boys' are expected to make the match. The lack of arrests is attibuted to their ravenous appetites. Their discerning tastes call for the brains of law enforcement personnel.

June 9th, 2006 Opening ceremony took place without a hitch, fireworks went up and the tournament is underway!!!! Stands are full and the Malton World Cup Committee celerbated the opening day with a splendid 5-2 victory over the Undeadites zombie horde. Leading scorer and central striker What's Happened hit two (including one in the opening five minutes), central midfielder Shiv Jones hit two and Malton's world defensive player of the year hit a decisive header to round off the win. Players are reported to be pleased with the result, with What's Happened quoted as saying "Great start, their defense was a bit shambolic and their movement at times was a little stiff. I think the opening goal put them on their back foot and we capitalised from there." Zumm said "You know, errm, well it was a great game. We had the upper hand, and, you know, we took it to them. Great opponents, great support and we look forward to our next game later in the week."

June 8th, 2006 The results of the Malton World Cup Committee's medical scans are in and the prognosis is good. Our players are now over 300% ready for the opening game, and practicing our celebration dance move, dubbed 'The Zombie' (see pic). Reports from inside the tournament favourite and main rival Undeadites camp are that a number of the players are injured following pre-tournament celebrations. Its coming home.
June 8th, 2006 (Update): The few humans that opted to sleep in Pole Mall have been callously slaughtered by ferals. Although a few baricades are up, the mall is still breached and remains dangerous.

June 5, 2006 The Mall has fallen, and is filled with zeds.

June 3,2006 Mall is EHB all around, with a transmitter set to 27.15Mhz. Only a few survivors in, but hopefully other C4NT, Pitman Pitbulls, and others will join thier buddies in the area to keep the mall going while the zombie hooligans wrecking the stadium try to come in.

June 2, 2006 There are a few survivors in the mall, which seems to be somewhat cleaned up after the ravages of those drunk hooligan bastards. Makeshift stands are righted, and selling Malton World Cup t-shirts. A radio has been set up, undoubtedly to help coordinate the approaching game.

June 1, 2006 Pole Mall is ransacked and empty except for a few zeds. I guess the soccer match is cancelled until further notice...

May

May 25, 2006 Three days in Clapton Stadium without much trouble. Barricades are holding and Zee activity is starting to thin out and Pole Mall is usable. -- Malton World Cup Committee

May 22, 2006 Week 2 of the stadium siege and its developing into a game of two halves. The Malton World Cup Committee has retaken the stadium, rebarricaded and are having a knock around on the pitch as we speak. We also cleared out and barricaded The Younghusband Arms for drinkers, and the nearby Pole Mall is currently under siege, but looking good

May 19th, 2006 With 21 days to go, training is underway, the stadium has been finished and the pitch laid. Despite a couple of random hooligan incidents (where the offending parties were forcibly removed from the stadium), and 5 zombies queuing outside for tickets (We operate a strict no ticket, no entry policy – only people with official tournament tickets, with the ‘free running’ logo printed on them, will be allowed inside), we are currently organizing 2 friendly matches to warm us up for the World Cup proper.
The dates are:
Tuesday 30th May, 2006
Saturday 3rd June, 2006
Opponents are yet to be announced, but we strongly suspect the zombies occupying Pole Mall will be our first opponents on 30th May. The aim of the friendly is to pick a square occupied by a reasonable amount of zombies (probably determined the day before and communicated to all), attack and destroy said zombies during the day using all arrays of skills and abilities. Anything less than total annihilation will be deemed a loss. Remember this is a friendly so play fair, make sure you remain injury free and remember to shake hands and swap shirts afterwards. Please post kills (goals) and any other information - assists, tackles, revives - on our site, which will go towards us selecting the all-tournament squad.

---Urgent---
For any group wishing to participate in the Malton World Cup competition, entry is now open. To register please email: maltonworldcup@hotmail.co.uk The deadline for entry is 1st June. The competition will comprise of a group stage, followed by a knock out phase. Full rules and regulations will be emailed once numbers are determined. 1 Team will have the honour of being Malton World Cup winners!!!!

Any single players looking to join in please drop us a line and we will find an appropriate team (assuming your great great grandmother has 1/100th of that nationality in her anscestory).

May 16th, 2006 As the spiritual home of football (soccer) in Malton, Clapton Stadium, and the surrounding area, is being prepared for the World Cup, hence the barricades and zombie clearance. Firweworks and occupation is planned for the 10th to mark England's opening game in the event, and in the preceeding time all efforts are being made to barricade the surrounding buildings and to clear the streets of zombies. Please come on down and join the party.
Escapetovictorymini.jpeg

May 16th, 2006 The number of zombies inside the mall has been dramatically decreased but there are zombies all around the streets and buildings surrounding Pole Mall. Barricades around are slowly starting to be built and even one of the corners at Pole Mall has their barricades up to VS.

May 4th, 2006 Last I saw, there were 113 zombies inside the mall. Now they're attacking surrounding buildings.

May 3rd, 2006 Pole mall is now under heavy attack, the NorthWest corner is completely empty with loose barricades, near 100 zombies outside the mall and more on the surroundings. If you can come to our aid, it would be appreciated.

April

April 30th, 2006 The mall seems to be under a moderate level of attack. There is currently one zombie inside.

April 9th, 2006 - A crowd of zombies are gathering in the south and the east part of the mall (not counting the ones in revive points, although there are lot's of brain rotters in the revive points too), a possible attack is awaited to next weeks. Survivors, be ready!

February

February 20th, 2006 - Mall remains in survivor hands.

January

January 19th, 2006 - The mall is in survivor hands and back to normal once again.

January 12th, 2006 - The whole mall has now been overtaken meaning that all the supplies and surviors are advised to get out. If the suberb mall is taken the next fire station will be taken as well. Also that the mall is going to need support in taking out the undead.

January 12th, 2006 - The Mall Tour '06 is officially inside Pole Mall and the eats are good. As of this writing (16:15GMT or so), about 200 shambling corpses are either immediately outside the mall or in close proximity, with another 40-50 inside the mall. The NE corner, the point of entry, belongs only to the restless undead at the moment, and the South wing is next on the menu. The remaining survivors are advised to, well, who knows what would work now. Run screaming into the night?

January 11th, 2006 - The Mall Tour '06 has hit the mall. The numbers of Zombies are rising rapidly, I am a local looking to help keep the mall from falling. I am not in the mall but very close. I am trying to get anyone who is capable and willing to fight to come to the area and find the resistance. With trouble growing, I hope we can stand up against the living dead. With this threat aproaching quickly, there is no time to spare. Again, I am calling for anyone that can help.

January 10th, 2006 - This mall is on the target list for Mall Tour '06. Lets make a stand, eh? This is a bulletin asking for human reinforcements to Pole Mall, and for headshotters to camp the corridor from Tollyton to here to whittle away at zed numbers. Pole Mall must stand.

We won't repeat the mistakes of Hildebrand - there will be no revive point in the vicinity.

January 09th, 2006 - First Sign of zombies gathering outside of Pole Mall, Mutiple people saying on the Undead forums that Mall Tour'06 will be attacking here

2005

November

November 19th, 2005 - There was a large siege of the Pole Mall, where zombies drove out all 150+ survivors.
