Basic Info:

  • Office buildings owned by the company often associated with the zombie outbreak. From the outside, they are indistinguishable from other buildings, but characters with the NecroTech Employment skill are able to recognise them.
  • Among the internal descriptions found in NecroTech Buildings:
The NecroTech logo is set in the wall behind the front desk, and doors open onto powered-down computer rooms and laboratories."
  • If a generator is running inside the building:
"The NecroTech logo glows gently above the front desk, and doors open onto a number of brightly-lit laboratories and computer rooms."
  • NecroTech offices are tall enough for survivors to commit suicide from. They also provide a vantage point from which binoculars can be used.
  • Necrotech Buildings can be barricaded normally.

Description

Necrotech

The Ducat Building is a NecroTech facility located in the suburb of Gibsonton on the extreme eastern edge of the suburb, alongside the border with Dunningwood. It should be noted that this building's strategic importance to survivors is increased by the fact that it is the only NecroTech building located in the entire suburb. Staff at this building commonly revive zombies at nearby revive points. Entrance to the building can be gained via the Wardle Building [85, 26]. In the months, and years, following the "Malton Incident" survivors have done their best to make use of the resources abandoned by NecroTech Industries to help in their fight against the zombie hordes.

Members of project NecroWatch renovated the facility in recent months, as they installed sensor eyes for A.L.I.C.E. throughout the building and uploaded NecroNet 2.0 into the facility's system terminals.

Mandate

NecroTech staff continue to follow directive 42-A, issued by the head office on January 19th 2006, with the activation and manufacture of MK-II revivification syringes. While the cost in time and effort are currently high the certainty provided by being able to manufacture a constant stream of syringes has mitigated early concerns.

The activation of NecroNet with all NecroTech buildings has also allowed scientists to apply the DNA tracking research they have gathered to date. The field research staff stationed at the Ducat Building feel certain that they can crack the mystery surrounding the spread of the virus as well as help monitor aberrant zombie activity within Gibsonton.

Barricade Policy

This building should be Extremely Heavily barricaded at all times. This is in accordance with the mutually agreed-upon plan set forth in the Gibsonton Barricade Plan and by which survivors routinely work together to monitor that the barricades for this building are at the aforementioned level. This building is meant to serve as a safehouse for Malton's veteran survivors. Entrance to the building can be gained via the Wardle Building [85, 26].

NecroNet Reports

Zombie tracking reports are a free service provided by the NecroTech corporation to all its staff and local survivors in order to help facilitate quicker response times when managing zombie threats and to build a greater awareness of zombie migration patterns within the 9x9 block region around the Ducat Building. As a cautious reminder, only those zombies tagged with the DNA Extractor will appear on these scans, so actual numbers may vary when dealing with older zombies (i.e. Brain Rot).

Current Events

November 23rd, 2009 - About ten zombies broke into the building. Acting as a beachhead, those attackers paved way for fifteen others to follow. Ducat never stand a chance. -- Kittithaj 19:57, 23 November 2009 (UTC)

November 7th. 2009 - Currently extremely heavily barricaded, powered, with 6 survivors inside. -- Benjamin Adlam 15:10, 7 November 2009 (UTC)

July 25th, 2009 - Attacked and destroyed by 15 Dead Bunnies zombies wanting to halt revival operation to the people of Santlerville. First they sent in a paratrooper in to destroy the generator and act as a decoy. Then they quickly brought down barricades while survivors were engaging the zombie inside. This survivor barely escaped with his life, and learned the hard way why one should not broadcast his safehouse on the radio. -- Kittithaj 23:36, 25 July 2009 (BST)

May 17th, 2009 - Under attack by 12 Zeds. Barricades are down. If support doesn't get there soon, the survivors may not be able to resist them.--P8ntBallerBoi 04:37, 18 May 2009 (BST)

November 25th, 2008 - 9 zombies inside, and a similar number of infected survivors. 5 corpses inside. Pretty much screwed, what with the doors open and the cades down.--Scheffer 20:22, 25 November 2008 (UTC)

April 23rd, 2008 - Barricaded to EHB, has several people inside, power, and running water. Life is grand. We could use some help reviving people and 'cading around the area before the zeds come back. -- Sid1138 03:20, 23 April 2008 (BST)

June 29th, 2007 - The building is EHB, with a fueled generator and 20 survivors inside. -- Ravana 22:00, 29 June 2007 (AEST)

Update: After being downsized, picketed, and then ransacked during a hostile takeover bid, the Ducat Building is now back in business. Thanks are extended to the Winchester Boyz for their assistance during the negotiations.
