new zoo buildings
Timestamp: | Blood Panther 20:15, 14 October 2006 (BST) |
Type: | building change |
Scope: | makes the zoo a funner place. |
Description: | i was just thinking if maybe more buildings should be added to the zoo. maybe an aviary, or a infomation center or even a gift shop. this would make maltons major attraction much more fun a place. the new buildings could be put over the bare zoo wasteland.the current zoo buildings have no items inside. the main reason for adding a few new buildings would mainly be for role-play. although there is one building(the reptile house) which is currently inecesable with the free running skill, so another building in the area would help bring the buildings closer together. |

- :?[ - I like the idea around it but the suggestion is not complete. What could you find in these buildings? What would they be useful for? Where would they be placed exactly? --MarieThe Grove 21:48, 14 October 2006 (BST)
- Incomplete - Needs LOTS more information. Functions. Barricades. Search percentages. Perhaps a map? --BBM 23:24, 14 October 2006 (BST)
- I think I can - C'mon, do the work, What you've got here is a start. Let's put this on the talk page and make it into a full fleged suggestion. --Officer Johnieo 01:17, 15 October 2006 (BST)

Flares in Combat
Timestamp: | Preasure 16:53, 14 October 2006 (BST) |
Type: | Improvement |
Scope: | Flares |
Description: | Flares are currently not a good weapon in combat. They deal high damage, but the attack percentage is very poor. On average, it takes 20AP to find a single flare in a Fire Station, and about only one in 7 hits the target (with full firearms skills). It is much more efficient for survivors to use other weapons to fight with.
The flare is, basically, an explosive. It can deal much more damage than the bullets of a conventional firearm, and whereas good targeting is essential for maximum damage with other guns, as long as the flare is reasonably accurate the same effects can be achieved. Therefore, I propose that all players killed with a flare take a headshot automatically, even if the shooter does not have Headshot. This applies to survivors too; the explosion is just as devastating to them as to a zombie. The victim would see a message similar to that of headshot, saying You took a Flare Headshot from [Player Name]. It will now cost you 5 extra AP to stand up. This would reward the luck of the shooter, flare kills do not happen often and are most oftenused to expend flares found accidentally, and increase the usefulness of the flare as a weapon. Flare search odds and hit rates are low, so a flare headshot would not be a common occurrence and fighting with normal firearms would still be a far more efficient method of fighting, this would give survivors a reason to save up accidental flares and use them more effectively. |

- I vote against this. As stated, the flare isn't supposed to be a weapon. Leo417 15:15 PST, 20061015

- I'd vote spam on this. A flare is primarily a signaling device - only used as a weapon in an emergency. --Funt Solo 19:51, 14 October 2006 (BST)
- As Funt. Flares are not for use as weapons, they are signaling devices. What they signal has yet to be discovered.--Grigori 00:30, 15 October 2006 (BST)
- As above.--Mr yawn 12:39, 15 October 2006 (BST)
