Molebank is a leafy suburb of Malton, located in the west of the city. Prior to the outbreak it was considered to be one of the more affluent suburbs with its open spaces, parks, museums and religious buildings. It was also the training ground for the fire fighters in Malton and thus had a high percentage of 2nd and 3rd generation Irish immigrants.
