Knights Templar

Since forming in 2006, the Knights Templar have been defending Kempsterbank from the zombie masses, keeping it one of the most consistently safe suburbs in Malton.

We are glad to revive and heal anyone who asks. We work side by side with the local civilians. And we proudly stand with our allies against any zombie threat.

We focus on strategy and teamwork within our ranks. Operations large and small, near and far, are always being planned and executed. If you really want to play Urban Dead, we're the group for you.

A detailed history of our group can be found here.

Goals

We intend to maintain the whole of Kempsterbank along with our allies by:

  • Supporting other survivors by offering aid and revivification to those who request it.
  • Scouting and alerting the inhabitants of buildings threatened by zombies outside to take cover and pointing them in the direction of a secure house.
  • Securing buildings under our care and maintaining the barricades and generators to help give those in the area a better chance to get equipment necessary for getting by.

Finally, the goal of every living person in Malton, and the ultimate goal of our group, survival.

Recruitment

Why join the Knights Templar?

Why NOT join should be the question. We are a highly active, effective, and close-knit group of fighters who have come together to defend Kempsterbank and surrounding suburbs from the undead threat. We work closely with our friends and allies. If you wish to delve deeper into the world that is Malton, the Knights Templar is the group for you!

How to join the Knights Templar:

Joining is simple! Look for any of our members inside the Whitenoll building or the surrounding area, and they can help you out from there. If you want to be a little more formal, or just cut right to it, visit us at our forum and ask to be a part of our illustrious group!

Upon joining...

All new recruits, regardless of level and experience, will at first be a part of the Grasshoppers Guild. Newer players will be trained in any and all aspects of the game and will be helped to level up quickly. A minimum set of skills will be required to move up in the KT ranks, and the Guild is where you'll get them.

For more experienced players, your time in the Guild will be spent getting to know your fellow Knights, acquainting yourself with our policies and procedures, and participating in operations in Templar territory, giving you a chance to show us what you've got.

Group Structure

The Knights Templar is divided into three groups by function. Upon completion of your time in the Grasshoppers Guild, you'll be asked to choose which specialist group you would like to take part in.

The Order of the Archangel Michael (OAM)

The OAM team patrols Kempsterbank and peripheral territories, runs strikes on known zed hangouts, and generally protects K-Bank from hostile forces within our borders. This is probably the group for you if you like to play at your own pace and work a little more independently.

Cleansing Fire of St. Charles (CFSC)

This is the elite, highly mobile fighting force of the Knights Templar. CFSC operates wherever help is needed in Malton. This team consists of our most experienced and trustworthy Knights.

Colonial Expeditionary Force (CEF)

This team of volunteers works to protect the suburb of Wray Heights, expanding the Knights' mission to this new region and bringing with them the proud Templar tradition. In addition to the defense of resources vital to those living in the Heights the CEF works to spread the Templar message to anyone who might listen, encouraging all survivors to take up arms in the righteous cause. This team has their own page for updates.

Revive Points

We run revive points at Ebbutt Road (57,76) and Ware Walk (51,74) in Kempsterbank. As of February 2009, we have begun operating a revive point at Trivola Street (64,72) in Wray Heights.

If we are not already familiar with you, please be patient while we check your profile for PKing, GKing, RKing, or other offenses. For faster service, please request a revive via our forum.

Zerging

The Knights Templar are against zerging in all it's forms: Knights are limited to a single account in the group in total, acting without the assistance or collaboration of any of their alternate character accounts. Any member found in violating of this policy will face the sanctions of the Grand Council.

Contact Us

Please feel free to drop us a line via our wiki discussion page or on the KT forum to contact us, or stop by our stronghold at the Whitenoll Building, normally staffed by a handful of members. We monitor the radio frequencies 27.55 (Kempsterbank) and 26.16 (Wray Heights), which you can also use to reach us. If there is ever anything you need, please feel free to use any of these methods to get a hold of us.

Always at your service,

the Knights Templar.

Sons of Kempsterbank

Two of our members, CoffinBob and Vidad12, have kindly contributed their time and efforts to produce a semi-regular webcomic entitled Sons of Kempsterbank, immortalizing past deeds of the Knights (with some artistic license taken as to the setting). All issues to date are archived on that page.

Apr 13

We apologize to anyone who has been looking for updated KT news here. Things have been very hectic since the last update. I assure you, we are VERY active in the game. A full run down of the groups activities will be up soon. Thank you.-Roddy Winters 02:13, 14 April 2010 (BST)

Feb 3

The Mobile tour spent the entire month of January in the north-east corner of Malton (Dulston, Pescoside, and Dunningwood) helping clear revive lines, repair some of the massively ruined buildings, and helped breath some life into the mostly survivor-free area.
At the same time, the Knights back home in Kempster sucessfully cleaned up the mess that had accumulated for weeks, and got the homeland back to 'Green' status for the first time in quite a while.
Both units have now re-grouped back in Kempster, and we are all planning our next moves.-Roddy Winters 01:39, 4 February 2010 (UTC)
