October 2008Week 1I visited a total of 16 sites as I traveled southward through the suburbs of Darvall Heights, East Becktown, Lukinswood, and Lerwill Heights. I encountered only one ruined building. I became aware of the existence of the Sebright Union when I combat-revived someone purporting to be one of their members in order to repair the McMullen Museum. As inhabitants and caretakers of the Sebright Museum, a center of learning, theirs is a group I believe the Philosphe Knights would do well to perhaps contact at some point. I hoped to meet additional members of their group upon arriving at the museum, but found none there. Week 2I visited a total of 15 sites (only two of them ruined when I arrived), traveling west through part of Reganbank, then south again, through Mornington and Wykewood. The latter two suburbs completed, I began heading north again, by way of Crooketon, only to find myself PKed by this fellow while I was while waiting for enough AP to read a book in the Lawler Museum. I'm currently at a revive point (3, 58) a bit further north in Grigg Heights, but revives seem to be rather slow in this part of town. Week 3I received a revive from this fellow, whom I had greeted several days earlier in a museum. But not before I had the opportunity to observe the revive que for a day. However much my group may disapprove of the DEM and their practices, I must admit they did a very efficient job clearing the revive point in this quite dangerous and overrun suburb. In fact, the MCDU and MFU were the only groups I observed working to clear the RP (the one revive by a member of the Redneck 'lil Boys excepted). I then traveled south to (finally) read a book in the Lawler Museum, then headed northeast, to complete the suburb of Reganbank. (In the process, I also visited two nearby centers of learning Molebank, then two in Owsleybank as I returned to Grigg Heights). This region is far less survivor-friendly than the suburbs visited to this date - buildings are unlit and re-ruined daily; inhabitants are few and ill-coordinated. Of the 14 sites visited this week, 5 required repair, and many more required cading. Week 4I completed the suburb of Grigg Heights, and moved into Owsleybank, where I was promptly killed. After wandering several suburbs away, looking for an active revive point, received one five days later (again thanks to the DEM). I took the opportunity to complete the suburb of East Becktown, and visited sites in Darvall Heights and Eastonwood. Of the 8 sites visited this week, half were ruined.
