Conditions continue to improve in the suburb. A majority of buildings in the northeast of the suburb are powered and in good condition. Zombie activity appears to be concentrated in the southwestern portion of the suburb which is now the focus of organized recovery efforts. Roger atthill 18:32, 13 August 2008 (BST)

Aug. 11th

Coordinated efforts by survivors have resulted in a marked turn around in the condition of the northeastern portion of the suburb. Locations in the southwest, particularly those near the Kingslake Walk Fire Station and Poulter NT, are still subject to frequent break-ins by the undead. Roger atthill 19:20, 11 August 2008 (BST)

Aug. 7th

Resent scouting of the suburb has revealed that the majority of structures in the northeast quadrant as well as those located along the eastern border are ruined. Heavy work will be required to restore this area as a majority of the ruins require moderate to extensive work (range of 6 to 32AP). Zombie activity in this region is very low verging on ghost town status. The majority of zombie activity appears to be concentrated along the western border centered on Poulter NT just across the border in Shore Hills. Roger atthill 19:25, 7 August 2008 (BST)

Aug. 5th

The surge in zombie activity continues to cause problems for local survivors. Tactical Resource Points (TRPs), particularly those near the western border across from Shore Hills, continue to receive attention from zombie attackers. Organized efforts continue in and effort to improve suburb conditions and provide support at local revive points (RPs). Roger atthill 18:12, 5 August 2008 (BST)

Aug. 3rd

There has been a surge in zombie numbers in the northern half of the suburb. As a result more buildings have fallen into ruin due to zombie attacks. Poulter NT, just across the western border in Shore Hills, continues to operate providing desperately needed supplies to local survivor groups. Efforts to combat this increase in zombie numbers is underway and Department of Emergency Management personnel continue to work the RPs in an effort to increase survivor numbers. As a result wait times at local RPs have been reduced significantly. Roger atthill 01:30, 3 August 2008 (BST)

July 30th

Department of Emergency Management personnel are making a concerted effort to reduce wait times at local RPs as well as improve the general condition of the suburb. Overall condition of the burb is moderate with TRPs under consistent low level assault by small numbers of local ferals and subject to periodic break-ins. Multiple safe houses are being maintained at VSB for entry of new residents of Malton. --- roger atthill SW-3 Fire Marshal 15:40 30 July 2008

After recent requests solicited no response, the following group links have been removed from the suburb.

If any of these groups are still active, please add them again. --RosslessnessWant a Location Image? 10:53, 29 July 2008 (BST)

Just repaired the factory near subrurb centre. Fire stations are ruined and zombie-infested, but otherwise the souther parts of the suburb are safe and well maintained. Maybe 5-10 zeds in the southern parts, mostly alone. -- Ozcar, 17.00, 23 July 2008

It appears that no one is making it to Cleary Drive revive point. Looks like folks have been here a long, long time. I'm headed out of town to try to find a better RP. -- Dillon Flint, 17:01, 19 July 2008 (EDT)

Security for Survivors

It has often been argued that Galbraith Hills has never been particularly safe, due to its proximity to Barrville & Ridleybank, and its relative lack of resources. The current risk level reflects the persistant break-ins in resource buildings, as well as the relatively small survivor population. Thinking of visiting Galbraith Hills? Here are some tips for survival (brought to you by the GHDU: Fitter, happier, more productive.):

  • Always carry two First Aid Kit's, a Fire Axe, and a Toolbox in case resource buildings are ransacked.
  • Never camp in resource buildings when basic EHB buildings are nearby.
  • Buy Free Running as soon as possible to allow camping in EH buildings.
  • If you attacked, scanned or failed to revive a zombie without killing it, please try to camp alone in case the zombie has scent trail and follows you to your Safe House. This way, it will only find you, and not a whole building full of survivors.

Security for Zombies

Galbraith Hills is a great place to feast because of its lack of resource buildings, and low population. Zombies are doing a fantastic job of breaking into and holding resource buildings, and keeping the danger level blood red. Here are some tips for zombies:

  • Always sleep inside buildings.
  • Try to sleep inside Resource Buildings, especially NT Buildings.
  • You can find survivors that you have had contact with if you have the Scent Trail skill, by following them back to their Safe House.
  • Follow feeding groans as they are emitted by other zombies when they have found humans. Gathering at the sites from which the groans originate can often get you a free lunch.

Barricade Plan

Survivors have made a Barricade plan for Galbraith Hills. Feedback is welcome; we will do our best to accommodate reasonable suggestions.

In recent days, due to the increasing and encroaching danger to the north, the barricade plan is being followed loosely at best. Several designated VSB locations have been extremely heavily barricaded, leaving even experienced players among the zombies on the street.

Zombies have been doing an excellent job of keeping Galbraith Hills barricade free, and so have complied with the "NO CADES" suggested barricade plan for zombies.
