tools are for toolboxes

--'BPTmz 06:41, 23 August 2007 (BST)

Suggestion type
improvement,flavor

Suggestion scope
wirecutters

Suggestion description
wirecutters are a tool. we now have toolboxes. i suggest wirecutters get removed from the game. if at any point in the future we need wire cutters, we would be able to use the toolbox in it's place.

  1. Author Keep well i like it anyways...--'BPTmz 06:42, 23 August 2007 (BST)
  2. Keep - Seems alright to me. --Ducis DuxSlothTalk 06:46, 23 August 2007 (BST)
  3. Keep - I like it too, so you're not insane.... or we're both insane: you choose =P. --Matthew Fahrenheit YRCT+1 06:47, 23 August 2007 (BST)
  4. Keep - makes perfect sense to me. --Lo Meng 06:52, 23 August 2007 (BST)
  5. Keep - Short, but makes sense. --Cheeetar 16:15, 23rd August 2007 (AEST)
  6. Keep - I like it too. Oh, and MF? You're both insane, but don't take my word for it, because I'm insane too.--Seventythree 07:38, 23 August 2007 (BST)
  7. Not a Dupe Get Rid of Wirecutters gets rid of wirecutters entirely. This just TRANSFERS the wirecutter's "ability" to another item.--Pesatyel 07:59, 23 August 2007 (BST)
  8. Keep - I really couldn't give a crap if it's considered a dupe or not: Wirecutters are worthless and they belong in the toolkit. --The Hierophant 08:54, 23 August 2007 (BST)
  9. Kill - As above. --Sonofagun18 09:33, 23 August 2007 (BST)
  10. Keep --  Savant  Chit-Chat  09:34, 23 August 2007 (BST)
  11. Keep on one condition. If implemented it would cost a 1AP action to put the cutters away thus allowing folk who want cutters but not a full box of tools to drop the toolbox and keep the much lighter wires cutters. --Honestmistake 12:03, 23 August 2007 (BST)
  12. Keep - seems like a great idea, never even used the things anyway ;) Mutantarachnid 12:16, 23 August 2007 (BST)
  13. Keep - Reasonable. --Midianian 12:17, 23 August 2007 (BST)
  14. Keep - Logical, and not full of teen angst like some other suggestions. I like it --Ryiis 14:43, 23 August 2007 (BST)
  15. Keep - Bleedin' wirecutters...-- Pavluk 14:43, 23 August 2007 (BST)
  16. Keep - Useful and easy to implement, with no drawbacks.Studoku 15:18, 23 August 2007 (BST)
  17. Keep, but for the love of god, clean it up- I like the idea, makes sense, we need to give some additional uses to these damn boxes, but man, please clean up the grammar and make it look nicer. I can do it for you if you give me permission to do so. Nalikill 16:38, 23 August 2007 (BST)
  18. Keep - Though I would like to see functionality of some sort given to the 'wire cutter' effect as well, but that's another suggestion entirely. --the one, the only, sushiknight (talk contribs HARD E.N.D.) 16:45, 23 August 2007 (BST)
  19. Keep - I'm all for a slightly useful item being transferred into an already useful item. --Hhal 18:30, 23 August 2007 (BST)
  20. Keep - Good enough. --Druuuuu 19:08, 23 August 2007 (BST)
  21. Keep - I can't believe no one thought of this before.--Mayor FittingTalk RR 22:46, 23 August 2007 (BST)
  22. Keep Genius. I have wirecutters in my toolbox, for doing electrical work.      Ekashp wuz here (aht harman bra!nz!)        03:38, 24 August 2007 (BST)
  23. Keep Great idea, read all the spams... lol, They are stupid.--Kaynex 04:12, 24 August 2007 (BST)
  24. OMG Makes Sense - The spams are really dumb, and don't dupe just to dupe. It's jackassy. BoboTalkClown 17:05, 24 August 2007 (BST)

Spam/Dupe Votes

  1. Dupetastic - Get Rid of Wirecutters. Already rejected and it's close enough. --Thelightguy 07:23, 23 August 2007 (BST)
extended talk moved to talk page.--'BPTmz 08:02, 23 August 2007 (BST)
  2. Spam/Dupe - Noooo... You won't take them away from me (runs arround buildings, spreading wirecutters all arround) --~~~~T''' 07:43, 23 August 2007 (BST)
  3. You're telling me you'll now need a WRENCH to go and break through fences? I rarely see toolkits come with wirecutters, so the flavor of someone using a wrench to break through a fence is absurd. Then again, UD is screwed up.--ShadowScope 20:07, 23 August 2007 (BST)
RE maybe you should buy better toolkits? the ones i get do come with wirecutters. these [1] kind anyways.--'BPTmz 22:53, 23 August 2007 (BST)
  4. Dupe - Wirecutters can't fit into a toolbox. I don't know what wire cutters you're using but the kind that would be used for cutting a fence or a lock are definitely bigger than a toolbox. Also, the ones in the above RE are not the kind for cutting fences, those could not cut through 12 gage steel wire, what you are actually carrying around is more like this and about twice as long as a keyboard.--Karekmaps?! 23:16, 24 August 2007 (BST)
Wirecutters were used for cutting CHAIN LINK FENCES, "Chain Link Fence" does not use chains in any way. I could easily cut a hole in a CHF with a pair of electrical wirecutters, WHY do you need Bolt-Cutters for it? And have you seen any covert-ops in any movie where they had to deal with CLFs? they aren't carrying around big-ass Tank-Armor-Cutters. They're using the heavy-duty, pocket-size wirecutters. where you got the idea that wirecutters were those huge things, yet still were only 4%, I have no clue...
