Just a note that having been through some of the South parts of the Suburb, the Barricade plan is not being adhered to. I could not find any VSB buildings, the eastern fire stations and hospital were all unenterable, and even Clubb Cummings which is labelled as unbarricaded was beyond entry. I'd advise any low level survivors to be extremely cautious when entering Shackleville -- Ricold 14:04, 21 January 2007 (UTC)

I've just updated much of the center section of the Shackleville Barricade Plan map. In practice, pretty much the entire 3x3 center square is EHB, with Clarkson Lane Fire Station as sole entry point. This has grown as such due to the concentration of all of the TRPs in that area, making it a constant target for attacks. Looking at the map now, a slight rethinking of the barricade plan might be wise. Adding a few non-important buildings as entrypoints could be an option. (Baskomb Museum or either of the two auto repair shops might be options) --Grungni 11:07, 16 October 2009 (BST)

:Hi. We at The Fortress are entirely happy with the current Shackleville_Barricade_Plan and agree that it should be adheered to as published. Shackleville has traditionally been a heavily caded suburb (particularly because of its hazardous central Malton location). If, however, a new VS entry point was created at the Baskomb Museum - for instance - there would be no issue from us. 18:39, 23 October 2009 (BST)

Revive Points

While adding an update to the News section I noticed an old reference to a Revive Point at St. Helier's Church in Shackleville. I'm not aware that this RP is presently operating, but I do know of the revive point at Swaffield Plaza. If I'm wrong, please feel free to correct. Brian McStay, 01:20 8 May 2006 (GMT)

Talon Company has been occupying the Rayfield building for around 276 days now, and we've been keeping the junkyard south of there vsb rather than the Rayfield. The reason for this being that the junkyard is a valuable culmination of resources for our newbies without free running. The JY as an entry point also works better, as it is more centralized. People working the Stanbury Monument RP can also spend 1 more AP a day getting needles. (bleive me it ads up) can we please change the plan to show that the junkyard south of the Rayfield building is the entry point instead? World 'globe 23:43, 23 November 2009 (UTC)

NPOV

I'm not trying to be a Wiki-Nazi or butt my head into matters not my business, but the Recent News section has become increasing non-NPOV of late. I deleted the last two entries regarding a possible "survivor victory" in Shackleville for two reasons: 1) Both were non-NPOV, although Papa Moloch's entry was an understandable response to the first entry; 2) I've been to Shackleville recently, and I see no evidence that survivors "may win this yet." The initial poster "James" indicated the zombie horde was being "pushed" into the western half of the suburb; that happens to be exactly the opposite of what really appears to be happening, since the RRF seems to have moved east of its own accord.

I felt it was time for a more objective (although not disinterested, as I play a survivor) viewpoint to intervene. I am not going to go back through the entires to clear out the NPOV comments, although I am tempted to remove the totally unsubstantiated claim that the RRF employs spies. Wiki suburb pages are not the place to claim or debate "victories," issue calls for help or even post survivor diary entries, interesting though they may be. Recent News is for posting factual, objective information.

Let's try to keep it on the level and have fun! Having the RRF in the area makes the game exciting and challenging. So let's please relax, respect our opponents, and be grateful for the great gaming experience they provide. -- Brian McStay 02:40 February 16 2008 (UTC)
