Re: Promo and others
Hello from your friends in the DSS
Good work, mate, but I'd like to change around the message content a tad (I'm a bit busy at the moment, so pay me no mind), and as you can see here (ignore the textual content, it's just a placeholder) I re-did the colour and indent settings to fit more pleasingly into the template. Did you say you redid the scan update template thingy of Alka's? Bravo! Do you have a link to it? I don't see it in your sandbox. Sorry for the brusqueness, I'm a bit pressed for time. 06:37, 14 June 2009 (BST)
Hey man how you been? Long time no see we all sorta drifted off at some point. Anyway back to the point the DSS is working up a new game plan swing by the forum for details if you're interested. :No problems here, just wanted to get it up and running. I am not the world's best copywriter. Some time back, by CRES Doctor noticed the The Big Prick was beginning to stagnate, leading him to put out a call for individuals interested in helping TBP move forward. I have volunteered my services to help this happen. In my humble opinion, the idea behind the formation of TBP was among the more unique in Malton's history. In its time, it broke up the monotony that was quickly setting in and gave adventurous individuals a chance to try something new. It also helped de-stigmatize people regarding combat revives and make Malton a place where those of dual nature could have a chance to explore their separate agendas. As many of these issues are not as large as they once were,  it may seem we have reached a time when Malton no longer needs The Big Prick.  I say, it's not all about being needed. Do you still enjoy reviving zombies? Is your first response at a break-in to check for brain rot?  Mine is. Being a prick is not a job, it is part of who we are, and though it may not need us in the same way that it once did, with the rise of Apathy and the decline of survivor groups in Malton, the city cannot afford to lose the Big Prick. Accordingly, I have begun reworking some of the format of TBP pages including a retool of the main page and the introduction of and achievement system that will let pricks gain recognition on their own time on their own terms. As a person who still chooses to fly the colors of TBP, I would appreciate your feedback on my talk page or on the TBP forum.  Thank you for your time and may your syringes never be blunted.

Amen, brother! Yes, the first thing I do is check for brain rot. To CRAP or not to CRAP is not a question for me. I continue to have far too many needles on me at any given time. I am currently doing research in Mornington, stop by if you get a chance. Thanks!--Dr Mycroft Chris 17:02, 22 September 2012 (BST)

Thank you
I've took the liberty to fix it. Setting <code>align="left"</code> causes the template box to hover to the left and the text to wrap around it. By removing alignment code altogether, the template stays to the left but the text doesn't wrap.
Thanks for showing me the way to NecroWatch :) I've added myself to the list and have started scanning. I also borrowed the map you use to keep track of which NT facilities you already scanned. Grtz, 00:26, 5 November 2012 (UTC)

Just one question though, was the decision to change the template yours? Or was it a team effort?

The reason I'm asking this is because, while the template looks nice and professional, I kind of miss the good old A.L.I.C.E. -- Kittithaj 18:17, 17 June 2009 (BST)

:As you are doubtless aware, NecroWatch is at best a loose confederation of like-minded citizens. We recieved a "complaint" about the ALICE template being to obtrusive. We started a discussion between it's creator and us. He gave us carte blanc to re-do as we saw fit. However, we also took this opportunity to change the design as this new template promotes NecroWatch, which is the whole reason we started the template idea to begin with. The ALICE template is sooo cool, but only promotes us tangentially. I must admit, I took action quickly once we had a general consensus and no one voiced a dissenting opinion, so voila! Nothing is carved in stone, all things can change. But it is nice to just get it done, too. BTW, thanks for the adjusting the code. That's a bit of a weak spot for me.--Dr Mycroft Chris 21:08, 17 June 2009 (BST)

--Albert Schwan Albert Schwan  Friday, 31 August 2012

Thanks for showing me the way to NecroWatch :) I've added myself to the list and have started scanning. I also borrowed the map you use to keep track of which NT facilities you already scanned. Grtz, PB&J 00:26, 5 November 2012 (UTC)
