Such is their ignorance that it defies not only logic, but apparently the very fabric of reality itself. Of course, as strategic wargamers we would be remise not continue our efforts, at the very least hoping to point out the tactical error present in their current strategy, namely their insistence on returning to the Masters Museum time and again. This has only been met with continued attrition of their resources, both physical and mental, no doubt. We fully expect to note in our campaign journal their imminent defeat, which will be signaled when they withdraw from the area. They will attempt to mask this retreat by feigning boredom or some such, but we will know the truth of the matter on that day. October 18th, 2007 - Some members of the Featherstone Library brotherhood have opted to partake in Operation: Earth is Round, an Alliance sponsored operation against a new hostile group that has appeared in Dulston. As we're not ones to beat around the bush, the targeted group is the Flat Earth Society. Let's see how well they play with others when we pay them a visit at the Masters Museum. September 4th, 2007 - It is truly sad when PKers become so desperate to cause trouble that they must resort to impersonating one of the FotFL's more famous members, namely Shotgun Ed. Recent reports show that 2 imposters have been spotted locally going by the names Shotqun Ed and Shotgunn Ed. We here at the library strongly recommend that the individuals behind this lame plot rethink their main goals in life and step back from the brink of, as termed by our allies in the BAR, "total douchebaggery". August 8th, 2007 - PKer groups return to the area after the Burchell Arms Regulars refuse to ally with them and allow free passge to attack the area. A war council is called and after carefully considering all options the BAR along with FotFL have declared all out unconditional war on all PKers in the area. Dulston Alliance members quickly mobilze to provide additional support as the streets become very unsafe. July 27th, 2007 - PKer activity has declined substantially as more zombies move into the area. The PKer group Maris Viridis requested a peace treaty from spokesman Shotgun Ed to which they were told the only peace for them would come when they left NE Malton. FishOutOfWater emphasized the point shortly after the conversation with a bullet to the forehead of l337master. Shotgun Ed and MrGomez from the Burchell Arms Regulars managed to kill every member of Maris Viridis at least once within less than 24 hours shortly afterwards. They have not been seen or heard from since then. Sounds like they wisely heeded our advice. June 22nd, 2007 - FOTFL Spokesman Shotgun Ed had this to say about Operation Cleansing Wave at a press conference at the Featherstone Library today: "Operation Cleansing Wave has now been completed. The result was a decisive victory for survivors in the area. Combat teams from Friends of the Featherstone Library, Metal Fox, and the Burchell Arms Regulars came to the aid of the Pescodside Defense Alliance when they were attacked by the St. Anastasius' Royal Guard. The fight lasted just five days with 63 registered confirmed kills and no casualties for us. The level of coordination of our combined attacks drove out or killed all SARG forces in the area. It was a total team effort - better than any we've had in the past. I'm sure our next operation will be even better. I was encouraged when I saw some local residents taking out their vengeance on the zergs of SARG. Nobody likes a cheater." June 19th, 2007 - Yet another 10 clones have felt our wrath, their corpses now littering the streets of Pescodside. The total bodycount for Operation Cleansing Wave has reached 54 as survivors work together to annihilate the plague of SARG troops that invaded the area. June 18th, 2007 - Another day passes and another 9 SARG clones have been executed in the name of justice. The hunt will continue until such time as all these cheaters have been washed away. June 17th, 2007 - Operation Cleansing Wave continues. Today 17 more SARG clones fell from our relentless attacks, which included armed assistance from the Dulston Alliance and Burchell Arms Regulars. Even average citizens have taken heart yo our cause and have joined in the fight against these abominations and the murderous group that spawned them. June 16th, 2007 - After being alerted to an impending attack on Metal Fox and Pescodside Defense Alliance by the bumbling PKer group Maris Viridis and a group called St. Anastasius' Royal Guard (SARG) Friends of the Featherstone Library, along with Metal Fox and the Burchell Arms Regulars swang into action. It turns out that SARG is a group of self-admitted zergers who flood the area with Level 1 zergs and try to overwhelm an area with sheer numbers. This evening Operation Cleansing Wave jumped off when various strike teams from the aforemmentioned groups swarmed the Farbrother Building and slaughtered 17 SARG members in a 60 minute window. After counting their dead this morning and realizing that they would not stand a chance against the combined might of our Dulston Alliance allies and the Burchell Arms Regulars SARG claims they "won" and "that fighting is now a waste of time". Well I guess we know where Bagdad Bob is now working. Our hats go off to them for what has to be the lamest excuse for getting beaten that I've ever seen. Please note, the comedic cast members of Maris Viridis have been nowhere to be seen. Reports have come in that the tinfoil pyramid hats they wear have "malfunctioned" leaving them unable to do anything. June 6th, 2007 - Apparently we have broken up the PKer Battle Royale contest that was to take place in Dulston. Although Pkers still linger in the area their numbers have been declining. Maris Viridis can be added to the list of PKer groups chased out of Malton. Too bad as their misguided antics were quite entertaining. After declaring war on all of Dulston one of their members gave them up on their own plans and they were slaughtered in the Perryn Building by us and our friends the Burchell Arms Regulars. Then they were attacked and wiped out a little later by Red Rum. They may be the only PKer group in the game that was targeted by another PKer group. May 5th, 2007 - The Rolt Heights War is over. The Burchell Arms Regulars along with the assistance of the Friends of the Featherstone Library have turned the tide against the organized attack of several PKer groups. Now it's back to killing zombies and the odd PKer who still thinks he can hide in our borders. April 27th, 2007 - The Burchell Arms Regulars agree to a mutual defense treaty. April 18th, 2007 - All members are asked to assist the Burchell Arms Regulars in the Rolt Heights War. A list of our common enemies has been posted here and/or here. April 15th, 2007 - Just a friendly reminder to all U.S. members that guns and ammunitions ARE tax deductible as long as you use them in your occupation. Hopefully this will go far to offset the loss of your mileage claim from last year as it appears that nobody in Malton owns a car or operates a gas station any longer. In further news, not much is really new. Zombies are few and far between in our suburb and our main form of fun is hunting down and taunting PKers. February 26th, 2007 - Noted NecroTech scientist, Caleb Usher, dropped by the Featherstone Library to remind the group that Mall Tour '07 was reported to be heading towards Treweeke Mall in nearby Dulston. As such, all locations along northern Pescodside should be considered unsafe and should probably be kept Extremely Heavily barricaded at all times. He seemed specifically concerned about the Waish Building since it would most likely become one of the horde's primary targets due to its proximity and importance to the mall. February 4th, 2007 - The bounty hunter contest results have been finalized and Square MacDonald has won the honors and the right to park in the Slayer of the Month parking spot. Congratulations to all who entered. We came up with at least 66 confirmed kills and managed to chase both DORIS and The Myrmidons right out of the Greater Dulston area. The contest started up again at the beginning of the February but targets are getting harder and harder to find as they continue to flee the area. Well done! January 2nd, 2007 - With the area firmly in survivor control the Friends of the Featherstone Library have initiated a bounty hunting contest for PKers and other old enemies in the area. The contest will run the entire month of January. Check back for results as the month goes on. 2006 NewsDecember 31st, 2006 - An attack group from The Myrmidons, a new PKer group in our area, was crushed and they were scattered. The Myrmidons were ambushed in the Sinclair Motel with one deadly FotFL killing three Myrmidons by himself. December 12th, 2006 - There are few zombies around to worry about. Those of us not on holiday are having a grand time shooting DORIS members and their allies every chance we get. Those PKers make great target practice. November 18th, 2006 - The suburb has been very quiet since the Big Bash left. Pescodside was quickly rebuilt and the zombie poulation has dropped off to even smaller than it was to begin with. The two largest zombie groups, Dead Animals and Reavers, look to have been totally defeated and driven from the area. However, peace never remains for long in Malton. The PKer group known as DORIS declared war on the Dulston Alliance. Any DORIS member is to be shot on sight. July 8th, 2006 - FOTFL returns in force to Pescodside after helping their Dulston Alliance allies fight the RRF in Dulston. The northwest corner of the suburb got a little messy as the zombies passed through to Rolt Heights. Cleanup is well underway with most buildings repaired. PKing has dropped off dramtically in the area. We also welcome our newest allies, King Murek's army, a group of hard-fighting Finnish survivors, to the Dulston Alliance. May 20th, 2006 - The Dead Animals and Reavers have been predominatly driven out of Pescodside by persisent coordinated member activity along with help from our allies. The occasional breach in resource buildings are quickly closed and the offenders terminated and dumped. They got the hint to move on as FotFL firepower and being shunned by fellow zombie groups was too much for the self-styled Sensative New Age Zombies to handle. The reputation of FotFL for their PK hunting prowess continues to grow. PKers have been tracked and killed many suburbs away by the dedicated card holding members. Those that still show their face are relentlessly hounded and executed. Rumors of a Featherstone Annex being started in another suburb of Malton have been overheard at Club Hardyman. April 26th, 2006 - Our divide and conquer method of scattering our members around the area has had an un-intended consequence. Rather than spread their limited numbers even thinner trying to track us down the Dead Animals and their allies simply broke into the library, killed the inactive players still inside, called it a victory, and moved on. It would appear that their goal was not to break us, but to see the building devoid of life. Fair enough, they did indeed achieve this goal, if only for a brief while. To what purpose, who knows? However, our enemies remain in the area. Therefore, our work is not done... April 24th, 2006 - The battle continues between the Dead Animals and the Friends of the Featherstone Library. They're certainly dedicated, but seem to lack the resolve to carry things through. At this point, they've lost their focus and are now scattered about with many moving to the Inman Building instead of focusing on FotFL members. April 21st, 2006 - The Dead Animals have declared war on the Friends of the Featherstone Library. They and their allies (notably, the Reavers) have gathered outside the library in a vain attempt to break us. In time, they will learn that the Friends of the Featherstone Library are here to stay. We salute their ambition even as we note their assured failure. Meanwhile, the survivor group, Dante's Guard, has offered to lend a hand in repelling the zombie nuisance. Our thanks to them for their assistance. March 25th, 2006 - The suburb of Pescodside is under the protection of the Friends of the Featherstone Library. This means that PKers and GKers are not encouraged to ply their trade in Pescodside. As an example, witness today's execution of Unmei, an avowed GKer. She was hunted down and found cowering in a warehouse in Dunningwood where members of the FotFL rained justice on her for her past actions. Let her death be an example to others who would seek to bring harm to the citizens of Malton. Pescodside is not a safe place for such behavior. March 18th, 2006 - Recent zombie incursions into the library, facilitated by griefers and spies, have resulted in disruption of numerous FotFL wargames and the destruction of some right good table top terrain pieces. What's more, quite a few collector's quality miniatures' paint jobs became chipped and smudged. This has regrettedly resulted in more rigid security until the impromptu DBA tournament is completed. For the above reasons, newcomers to the the Featherstone Library are asked to state their name and business and should be understanding if they are asked to leave the gaming area and hang out in the heavily fortified Club Hardyman or nearby buildings. FotFL members are, as always, ready to lend a hand to friends, allies, and needy survivors. The group is still prepared to respond to any calls for help; but times being what they are though, a little caution is warranted. Given the lack of shower facilities in the library and the generally poor hygiene of tabletop wargamers, this is probably best for everyone. March 7th, 2006 - After a month long deployment at Caiger Mall the Featherstone Expeditionary Force has been recalled to Pescodside. Members of the FEF are currently enroute, or have already returned, to the FoFL HQ. Publicly, the reason for the recall is being attributed to a recent upswing in hostile zombie activity near the Featherstone Library, these upswings are mostly caused by a group of zombies called The Gingerbraaains. With the already excellent defenses in place at Caiger Mall the FEF feels confident they will survive well enough without their forces. Privately, word has spread that growing disappointment over the lack of acrylic paints and terrain making materials at Caiger Mall's craft store may have contributed to the decision to depart... February 28th, 2006 - In between shifts of barricading, Ivan DBA of the Featherstone Expeditionary Force discovered the ruins of Caiger Games & Hobbies at Caiger Mall. He reports that a lot the rule books and boardgames had gore-damage, but that the incredible selection of 15mm Sci-Fi figures was largely intact! Strangely, the figures were all already base-coated a slightly crusty ruby red... February 17th, 2006 - An ad hoc Napoleonic wargame - the Battle of Wagram - started in a corner of the library between Brigadier P Young and Simon Shakewell. February 7th, 2006 - The Featherstone Expeditionary Force (FEF) sets out to assist Caiger against the Mall Tour '06 zombie horde. February 1st, 2006 - The Clewett Building has been cleared of all zombies! Congrats all around and a pat on the back for every other survivor who helped out. January 31st, 2006 - Rattlehead arranged to gather a group to go to the Clewett Building to help defend against a zombie attack. He is quoted as having said, "I've got a fair amount of ammo I found in the PD. I'm planning to log in at 2pm US Eastern Time (Feb 1st)and burn up APs heading up there and killing zeds until I'm beat. I'll likely hole up in the Clewett Building itself when I run out of APs. Anyone care to join me in riding to the rescue? I'm currently in the Love Building at [93, 17]. As I mentioned, I'll be logging in tomorrow at 2pm US Eastern time. If my math is right, that's 11am TMP/Pacific time and 7pm GMT. Of course, my math may be off on that!" Many group members are planning an attack on the zombies outside the Clewett Building which is one of the NecroTech buildings in Pescodside. January 23rd, 2006 - A Zombie Auxilliary has been formed, for those gamers who aren't quite alive anymore.
