Basic Info:

  • Malls are an excellent place to find a wide range of items; the only major items that cannot be found here are revivification syringes and fuel cans. As such, Malls are frequently used as safehouses and fortresses by survivors. Zombies often check inside (when they can get in), and organized zombie groups sometimes lay siege to them. They are listed as a Tactical Resource Point.

Description

The Mall, post-outbreak: a zombie mob protests against the Kilt Store's No pulse? No service! policy. The mock-medieval brickwork and domed glass roof can be seen.

Nichols Mall is a large, red-brick, four-block shopping mall in the suburb of Stanbury Village with pillars along its front. It was designed to match the style of nearby medieval sites such as St Ambrose's Church and Brome Library, but with an open-air design which proved a disastrous failure. The domed glass roof which was subsequently added is now in a state of considerable disrepair.

Malton's one and only Kilt Store is hidden away in the south-west corner of Nichols Mall.

History

For a detailed account of the Mall's unusual and dark history, see this page on the creation of Nichols Mall.

Nichols once supported a reasonably large number of survivors, but has been in constant flux since April 2006 as the Kilt Store's staff attempt to stave off floods of prospective shoppers from the Ridleybank Resistance Front and other zombie hordes.

Barricade Policy

The mall should be kept EHB at all times.

June 11th - This morning a few survivors still held dearly to the last remaining powered SE corner of the mall against overwhelming zombie numbers. By lunch time EST no survivors are left standing, all four corners are ruined and a total of 21 zombies haunt the inside. --ZombGG (talk) 21:31, 11 June 2020 (UTC)
June 10th - After over a week of survivor domination against what built up to be 20+ zombies, the first major breach happened in the NE corner. Credit for the breach goes to the infamous Ridleybank Resistance Front who used both trans-mortal tactics with their Gore Corps squad as well as traditional zombie tactics to execute a deadly X:00 strike, filling the NE corner with 12 zombies inside, with still another 16 outside. Survivor forces managed to knock the zeds inside down to 3 as well as rebuild the barricades back up to heavily, but later in the day a second RRF X:00 strike by The Constables mob resulted in another 10 zombies inside the NW corner, which proved to be the nail in the coffin for this epic survivor standoff. --ZombGG (talk) 21:31, 11 June 2020 (UTC)
May 29th - At 8am EST a pro survivor force involving the Knights Templar, The Kilt Store, The Fortress, and various others stormed Nichols Mall, purged the undead inhabitants inside, equipped kilts, and dug in for a classic siege. --ZombGG (talk) 21:31, 11 June 2020 (UTC)
