Fueled generators now increase search odds.
- In a non-lighted non-ransacked factory, one will find Crowbars (4.16%), Wirecutters (4.16%), Length of pipe (6.36%), Fuel Cans (2.20%), Fire Axe (2.93%) and Generators (2.44%). Nothing (77.75%).
- In a lighted non-ransacked factory, one will find Crowbars (3.70%), Wirecutters (5.05%), Length of pipe (9.21%), Fuel Cans (3.81%), Fire Axe (4.64%) and Generators (3.58%).
- A small analysis :
- On average, I would need 41 AP to find a generator in a non-lighted building and 30 AP to find a generator in a lighted building.
- If I already had a generator in my kit, and wanted to find 2 more, I would be better off searching in the dark (82 AP) rather than deploying my generator (assuming someone else would attach a fuel can) and searching in a lighted factory for 3 generators (90 AP).
- Thus if I started with 1 generator and 1 fuel can, about 2 days of searching in the dark I would end up with 3 generators and 2 fuel cans (average 45AP for 1 fuel can). If I deployed my generator and fuel can, after 2 days of searching I would end up with 3 generators and 3-4 fuel cans (average 26AP for 1 fuel can).
- This makes it worth lighting up factories to search, even if only 2 survivors expand their one day's AP doing so, and zombies break in to destroy the generator the next day.
