20070506 New, New GPS Function
Da Axe Man 02:15, 6 May 2007 (BST)
Suggestion type
New, New GPS function
Suggestion scope
Everyone who has GPS, or plans to get it
Suggestion description
To start with this is not a dupe from a couple of days ago.
The reason why this is back up for vote is because I changed it while it is in vote (which apparently im not meant to do).
Description:
At the moment the GPS item is useless. Your co-ordinates can be found with a map. To make it more worth-while i suggest the following changes should be made:
- Clicking on the GPS shouldn't waste an AP.
- The GPS should show your co-ordinates and building name when asleep.
Q - How you gonna tell that when your asleep?
A - The same way as how you tell your suburb when your asleep.
- Zombies should be able to use GPS (with the rules above)
Q - Zombies are stupid, how they gonna use GPS?
A - I dunno, using the same logic as above I suppose.
Q - Why can't you use the back button?
A - Sometimes, when clicking the back button and pressing forward again, the data is resent which wastes an AP.

- Keep - I didn't realize that clicking on the GPS did anything. But the buff for Zombies is good IMO - JedazΣT MC ΞD GIS S! 12:50, 7 May 2007 (GMT)
- Keep - You should't need to have Firefox extensions in order to enjoy the game. --Matthew Fahrenheit YRC☺T☺+1 10:24, 14 May 2007 (BST)

- Kill - First of all, to my knowledge, you never have to click on a GPS tracker. It tells you where you are without any interference. Clicking on it is just fiddling with it, and should cost an AP. Secondly, zombies can see which suburb they are in, and the name of the building. This allows them to go to a map and find their coordinates. Shortcuts in the game are just laziness (and yes, this also applies to survivors. However, survivors are supposed to be more intelligent than zombies, and therefor deserve a small shortcut). --Saluton 16:53, 6 May 2007 (BST)
- Re: What if you accidently click on the GPS tracker? I think you misunderstood/misread because zombies cannot see what building they are in when they are asleep. And anyway, it's not really a shortcut - more of giving the GPS a use.
- Re: If you accidentally click on something, you deserve the results. A character is asleep for a maximum of 29 minutes and 59 seconds, so if you need to see where you are, you can wait a bit. --Saluton 16:38, 13 May 2007 (BST)

- Kill Not needed. --User:Axe27/Sig 20:23, 6 May 2007 (BST)
- Kill Or useful, either. --Rgon 07:59, 8 May 2007 (BST)
- Uh...the GPS co-ords are located right next to the suburb name the last time I checked...thus meaning....you don't have to click on it...and plus, using those Firefox extensions will save you room in your inventory cause it shows you your co-ords, without the use of the GPS. --•▬ ▬••▬ • •••• •▬ ▬•▬• ▬•▬ #nerftemplatedsigs 13:53, 17 May 2007 (BST)
