20070601 Contagion
Wicked Anderson 22:45, 1 June 2007 (BST)
Suggestion type
Skill
Suggestion scope
Zombies with Infection skill.
Suggestion description
A zombie with the Infection skill may purchase the Contagion skill for 100xp. A survivor who is bitten by a zombie with this skill is infected as per normal; additionally, once during each 24 hour period that the survivor remains infected(probably during rollover), the untreated survivor will pass on the infection to a random survivor currently occupying the same location. This newly infected survivor is also contagious and will similarly infect a random survivor once during each subsequent 24 hour period. Like Infection, the effects of Contagion are completely curable through the use of first aid kits.
Note for clarification: By "rollover", I mean the existing mechanism whereby the ip-address hit-counter is reset. I'm not sure of the correct terminology.

Keep Votes
- Keep I'll go against the fashion, ang ive it a keep. With the ease of curing, I'd think this is far from overpowered. And even if underpowered, people could just make it their very last skill to buy, in which case it'd still be somewhat usefull. - BzAli 14:01, 3 June 2007 (BST)
Kill Votes
- Kill - any active survivor who leaves their infection untreated for a day is going to die anyway -- boxy T L ZS Nuts2U DA 00:46, 2 June 2007 (BST)
- Kill the thing is, there is no "rollover" in urban dead. so this just wouldnt work well. --'BPTmz 00:54, 2 June 2007 (BST)
- Rollover for Cingular, good. Rollover for Urban Dead, bad. --•▬ ▬••▬ • •••• •▬ ▬•▬• ▬•▬ #nerftemplatedsigs 00:55, 2 June 2007 (BST)
- Kill - I laughed at Axe Hack's above comment. Oh yeah, and I don't think this works well. Some stuff has already been suggested like this before. --Ducis DuxSlothTalk 01:34, 2 June 2007 (BST)
- Kill - No. --The Hierophant 01:50, 2 June 2007 (BST)
- Kill - I think this is extremely underpowered, but whatever, the result is the same. I don't like the mechanics of the suggestion anyways. --Matthew Fahrenheit YRC☺T☺+1 02:58, 2 June 2007 (BST)

- Kill - as above. infection doesn't need extra buffs --Duke GarlandTLCD SSZ 10:48, 2 June 2007 (BST)
- Kill - I can't see this working, for most of the reasons above. Sorry.--Seventythree 15:21, 2 June 2007 (BST)
- Kill - While infectious diseases are in Genre, the typically are not a good idea. This suggestion is no exception. --Saluton 17:02, 2 June 2007 (BST)

- Kill - imaginative. But this game is not about fighting the sniffles with chicken soup.-- Vista +1 19:48, 5 June 2007 (BST)
- Kill - A nice simple idea, but infection is fine the way it is. --Anotherpongo 17:36, 15 June 2007 (BST)
