Suggestion description
Don't you hate it when you have been searching for an item, and when you finally find it, you notice that you cannot carry it because your encurberence is full or nearly full?
Well, this suggestion would simply alert the player that he cannot carry the item and would give the option to drop something so that he will be able to carry it, and once the item is dropped, the player is given the item he just found.
For example, if I found a syringe, but didn't realize I was fully encumbered, the game would give me a message on-screen that would say something like this "You find a syringe, but cannot carry it because you are fully encumbered. To carry it you must drop an item of 2% encumberence or more". I would then drop any item to make room for the syringe, and once the item is dropped, I would automatically receive the syringe I was looking for.
If the item is bigger (like a tool box), you would simply have to drop as many items as it takes to let you carry the toolbox. Dropping an item to make room for other items would not cost any ap.
This suggestion would help survivors because it save people valuable ap. It would just give us the option to quickly drop an item to make room for other items, then receive the item he was looking for. Rather then making the player have to drop an item, then search the building, wasting ap, to re-find the item.

Keep Votes
- Keep I'm the author of this and think it would be a nice improvement to the game --Mark15. 5:03 21 June 2008 (BST)
- Keep - Sure, although disabling the search button at 100+% encumberance might be a better option. --Pgunn 05:28, 21 June 2008 (BST)
- Keep - You really should be paying attention to your encumbrance, but on the other hand it doesn't make a lot of sense to find something and then have it completely & mysteriously disappear because you can't immediately find an empty pocket to put it in. --Shigogouhou 06:09, 21 June 2008 (BST)
- Keep - Then again, it does already give you a message when you fill up your encumberance. --Blake Firedancer T E RNL? P.I.S.I.T. 06:49, 21 June 2008 (BST)
- Keep - Makes sense. You find something, then decide whether to put something down to pick it up. --PdeqTalk* 07:12, 21 June 2008 (BST)
Kill Votes
- Kill - Unnecessary. A little math never hurt anyone. Billy Club Thorton T! RR 06:57, 21 June 2008 (BST)
- Kill - Theres already plenty of messages informing you that your iventory is full. --Pvt human 11:31, 21 June 2008 (BST)
- kill - for reasons already expressed --Scotw 11:34, 21 June 2008 (BST)
- Kill - Try to think before spending your AP. -- 11:51, 21 June 2008 (BST)
Spam/Dupe Votes
- ? - I don't know about for you, but when I pick something up, and my encumbrance is at max, it tells me that I can't pick up anything until I use up some of what I already have. I dont remember the specific words though. --Officer Dick Trickle 07:28, 21 June 2008 (BST)
- SPAM - This is already in the game. When you are at 99% encumbrance, you can search and pick up anything no matter its encumbrance. However, once you hit 100%, you get a message on your screen saying something to the effect "You must discard or use an item before picking anything else up." -- LABIA on the INTERNET Dunell Hills Corpseman #24 - |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||| TMG 08:06, 21 June 2008 (BST)
- Spam -Already in the game.--Pesatyel 10:14, 21 June 2008 (BST)
- Spam - As above. I'd like to vote dupe but of course there is no suggestion to link to. --Explodey 10:29, 21 June 2008 (BST)
- Spam - It already tells you when its full, and it lets you go over your maximum encumberance when you have some to spare. Pay fucking attention. Iwitness shows all--The Grimch U! E! WAT! 10:38, 21 June 2008 (BST)
- Spam - As above. Wake up. --WanYao 12:29, 21 June 2008 (BST)
