- Before i orgasm unnecessarily, does this exist for every page? --xoxo 07:08, 18 June 2009 (BST)
- It must have been changed after that version though. It was unprotected in May 08. I will put back the content that was there in the version you supplied, but really, it does repeat a lot of information that is available elsewhere -- boxy talk • teh rulz 08:50 18 June 2009 (BST)
Thank you everybody for helping to restore this page to the original version. I appreciate it. When I wrote this article, it took about an hour and a half to put the information in the right order, and make sure all the links worked. I know it repeats a lot of information, but the point of the article is often missed: to place all said (and related) information in one place for a beginner. Thanks to all of you. -Poodle of doom 01:08, 19 June 2009 (BST)
- The thing is, that for a beginners guide, it goes into way too much detail in some place. For example building types, what is needed is a quick run down on TRP's vs. non TRPs, and a basic "NT's for syringes, guns in PD's, FAK's in hospitals, heaps of stuff in malls" type paragraph, plus links to the different buildings types. There's no need to go into power station detail, or info on all the Fort buildings, etc. And there's more in the article that can be trimmed back, if it's going to be truly made to be relevant to "beginners" -- boxy talk • teh rulz 14:09 21 June 2009 (BST)

Links and Spelling
The are far too many repeated links in one section. Fixing. -- Andrew McM W! 21:47, 7 May 2007 (BST)
- Also: Spelling errors. -- Andrew McM W! 21:51, 7 May 2007 (BST)
- Links are fine, I'm sure. It'll provide many opertunities for the newcomers to do their own research. And the spelling is fine. I wrote/checked it entirly in Microsoft Word. I know for a fact that the spelling is fine. Thanks for your concern, but everything is as it should be. --Poodle of doom 01:36, 8 May 2007 (BST)
First of all, there are two spelling errors in that post. Secondly, Microsoft's spell-checker is pretty bad; it's also inconsistent with its own grammar-checker. I'll go check the spelling of the article now. --V2Blast T•P!•C•SR 02:35, 30 September 2007 (BST)
- Wait... Why has this article been protected? --V2Blast T•P!•C•SR 02:36, 30 September 2007 (BST)
- "Basicly"? Yeah, that's totally correctly spelled </sarcasm>. Also, I was hoping to sort the skill tree a bit like the game's skill-tree sorting system. Casull 05:08, 2 October 2007 (BST)
Very Nice
I wish I had this when I was a newbie. Very good job! --Hhal 19:10, 10 May 2007 (BST)

- No problem, I can see you put weeks of work into this. Maybe Kevan can make some of the newspapers or books give links to this excellent guide. --Hhal 00:18, 15 May 2007 (BST)
- I didn't put weeks into it,.... but it did take a lot of effort. I'm hoping he can link to it, or something. At the very least, I think there should be a link to it on the front page of the wiki here. --Poodle of doom 23:34, 21 May 2007 (BST)

Reword "What attracts zombies" section please
The current "What attracts zombies" section is extremely "Pro-Survivor" biased, as all the words are phrased from the perspective of being a survivor trying to avoid zombies, despite the fact that this section is written under the "Corpse" class, suggesting that it should be information FOR a zombie!
I propose that it be re-written in terms of having a guide for what a zombie should be looking for. Instead of saying "zombies are attracted by..." say "zombies should seek out...". Instead of speaking as if zombies are mysterious OTHERS, by speaking in third person (such as the phrase "especially metagaming groups"), give advice. The section could then have a final paragraph warning survivors to look at the same points that zombies should seek out, and thus avoid them if possible. This would cover both views, and would thus be less biased against zombies. Iunnrais 18:43, 10 April 2008 (BST)
- As an addendum, the building descriptions might gain from having a quick note on each suggesting why zombies should attack them. Also, the Revivification Point section should mention that these spots are prime zombie targets as well, and specify why (namely, to keep the dead dead). Iunnrais 18:46, 10 April 2008 (BST)
Point?
What's the point of a page that is repeating significant parts of other pages, and is now out of date with those other pages, as they've been updated? Taking away the repeated parts, we are left with an introduction and a conclusion to a menu of links, which is anyway already available as (surprise) a menu of links, on the home page of this wiki. Really - what is this for? --Funt Solo QT 17:00, 9 May 2008 (BST)
