Finally!

Finally the scent map is complete. We have at least one image from each scanning location. Now it is just a matter of seeing if the UD community will help us keep it up to date. Looks great! FYI the full city map doesn't display correctly on lower screen resolutions. 85 px seems to fit a bit better. Basically, with the border, it takes more that 800px and forces the last image per row to go down to the next line. ~ _{21:36, 15 May 2011 (UTC)}

Weird. At 250px exactly, the image does was not displaying correctly for Markess Bank, as it is was displaying the previously uploaded image at that size. Point of clarification

In response to some PMs, ostensibly this resource was designed to aid survivors but in essence it is a tool used to track zombies. Whether you are tracking them to avoid them, tracking them to join them, informing others of danger, or advertising your horde’s strength is your own business. Accordingly, yes, died in the wool (pun intended) zombie nature types may feel free to update and use it. It is a community tool (even though it is located on a group sub-page)and serves the same purpose either way, so have at as long as you keep contributions accurate and in good faith.-- Albert Schwan  22:06, 15 May 2011 (BST)

Scouting RPs

Note to those of you using this map to scout clogged RPs, most of the shining bright green spots that are surrounded by black are clogged RPs. Thank you, I have seen several different maps since we started this one, though I had seen none beforehand. I am planning on including a section that links to alternate scent maps on this page. I will include this one in the list. They all seem to work a little bit differently. I think that the strength of this one is its organized coverage plan which makes it easier for fewer people to scan the entire map. The irony is the SIM used to work exactly like this, a dozen images on the wiki needing constant update. Eventually it became quite tedious to maintain all those images, as well as blank them when they became outdated. Hence the website to automate it all. If you're using Firefox, you might consider the Greasemonkey script which will cross post your scans to the SIM automatically with no effort on your part. You can still use your organized coverage method to ensure you get good coverage for minimal work. --  RoosterDragon  07:32, 4 June 2011 (BST)
