Cyberbob240 vs Don D Crummitt (Compost Heir Apparent)
You've recieved a warning for vandalising Cyberbob240 Userpage. Further vandalising of this wiki could result in loss of your editing abilaties.--Vista W! 18:43, 15 May 2006 (BST)
- BTW I noticed that you left a comment on my userpage, the right page to talk to someone is this one, the discussion page, AKA talk page, just click the tab when you follows a persons signature link. The userpage is not meant for talking to users. It'll certianly make your communications less troublesome if you use the right page.--Vista W! 19:11, 15 May 2006 (BST)
I've had it
Instead of creating those fucking "User:(insert user here} talk" pages, go to their actual talk pages. It's really pissing me (and Xoid) off. OK? --Cyberbob240CDF - Arb - W! 16:40, 15 May 2006 (BST) PS: And for fuck's sake, sign properly. --Cyberbob240CDF - Arb - W! 16:41, 15 May 2006 (BST)
- To be fair, practically anything pisses me off, it's just a matter of "How much?". Anyway, from your comment on the promotions page, it seems you forgot the unproperly signed comments. Even something so minor as that can add up until you want to explode. I have before, mainly at people who create pages like "Bob Garret" or somesuch, their character. The reason I explode? It happens every day without fail. The policy documents and help documentation can be found on the main page. The MediaWiki logo at the bottom is about two clicks away from the biggest repository of knowledge about using this software in existence. There are search engines. Yet none of these things are used.
- For every minute spent helping someone who could have helped themselves, is a minute that could've been spent on fixing something that is broken or hideously ugly. And trust me, there is plenty of broken stuff around here. Bear in mind that on Wikipedia, there are enough Admins that you could've gotten enough warnings to be banned permanently. The moderation team here is short-staffed and overtaxed.
- And remember, some people are just plain not nice. Personality conflicts, flame wars, even mere misunderstandings can all add to this impression. Calling him a cunt didn't win you any favours. Acting like one didn't win him any favours either. Had it been left at that, things would've been fine. But regardless of whether my bid for modship is sucessful or not, I have an obligation to do my best, people have put their faith in me and I'm not going to let them down by slacking off on the job simply because you had an issue with Bob. Check my talk archive, I've had it out with him before, and I know he can act like a cock, I did research his contributions before vouching for him.
- I guess what I'm trying to say is, look at this objectively; both of you acted like a pair of two year olds, and my commentary didn't help any. But it was nothing personal. It rarely is. –Xoid S•T•FU! 10:37, 16 May 2006 (BST)
- Okay, fine. Obviously you're right about pretty much everything, inluding the fact that you didn't need to comment at all. I really didn't need to vandalise, I know that. My problem is that if I didn't know what I was doing wrong was wrong, why would I try to rectify it? In the same time Bob took to flame me, he could have helped me. Then none of this shit would have happened.
- And for the record, I not going to add to your mod bid, as I'm not sure if it's my place to. Also, not sure what you mean about signing properly, but i'll look it up. Thanks mate.Don D Crummitt 11:01, 16 May 2006 (BST)
- Frankly, he's acted more in line with Project UnWelcome, than Project Welcome as of late. More than one person has commented on this. I think with the exception of Rip purr, that I've pretty much kissed and made up with everybody I've really had it out with. And I'm not sure if you failed to sign correctly anywhere recently. The linked and timestamped name shows that you've signed correctly here. –Xoid S•T•FU! 11:29, 16 May 2006 (BST)
- Cool. Ah, looks like we're just a bunch of hotheads really. Comes with the anominity of the internet. Looks like we've smoked the peace pipe, so we'll leave it at that. We'll see what the future holds for me and Bob...--Don D Crummitt 11:50, 16 May 2006 (BST)
- As far as I'm concerned, we don't have a future, because you don't register on my radar at all. Don't get caught up with the grand idea of an age-long feud, because that's not going to happen - you haven't been around long enough (or shown the maturity) for me to take you seriously at all. No-one else takes you seriously either, so you can get rid of the illusion that because you've had an argument with me, you are now an accepted and well-known member of the wiki. Well, maybe you're well-known, but in a negative light. I have no more interest in entering into any sort of discussion with you, unless its about another stupid act you perform. I guess you'll be hearing from me every time you log on then... just kidding. You're not that stupid. Make that, every second time you log on. Any more posts by you in this discussion will be ignored, so don't bother - spend the energy on something productive, like a Suggestion. I just know you'll be able to come up with something in that fertile brain.
- PS: By fertile, I mean well-manured. --Cyberbob240CDF - Arb - U! 14:10, 16 May 2006 (BST)
- PPS: Modship Bid Votes are not meant to be used for advancing personal agendas. If you have an issue with me, take it up on my talk page (have you figured out how to find one yet?). The basis of one argument is a fairly pathetic reason to vote - I'd hazard a guess that you saw someone else voting on the Promotions page and decided to have a look around. Upon seeing my bid, you rubbed your hands in glee, seeing a perfect opportunity to get back at me. Well, it's not really a vote - just an airing of opinions. Kevan is the one who makes the final decision to promote users to mods (I think so, anyway). He has a look at the opinions of people, and weighs up their objectivity, as well as how mature they are. Calling someone a cunt in the first 5 hours of your wiki membership isn't going to hold much weight - in fact, you may have even improved my chances of being promoted (don't quote me on that, anyone: it's just a wild thought with no basis in fact or truth)! Thanks! --Cyberbob240CDF - Arb - U! 14:18, 16 May 2006 (BST)
- Xoid, shut up, to be perfectly honest. You made the decision to back out of this. Even though "this" has ended as of this post (I really mean it this time!), it's not your place anymore to comment. --Cyberbob240CDF - Arb - U! 14:20, 16 May 2006 (BST)
- Totally uncalled for mate. I don't use this Wiki for anything other making a few suggestions, but I've been around for about four months. I have no romantic notion of us having an "age old" fued. I certainly don't want to be your friend. And your assumptions pertaining to me wanting to be a well known figure on the Wiki. Where the fuck did that come from? I couldn't care less if I got banned today. I use the wiki for suggestions pretty much and that is it. I can do that with another log in.
- I don't often look at the mod pages, but when I saw your mod bid, I thought I'd take a look. I left a valid comment (vote or not) as to why you shouldn't be a mod - basically, as I said, you shouldn't be a mod - YES, BASED ON THIS ISSUE WE HAD. You have basically shown, both here and with your initial outburst that you do not know how to treat people, especially the people who will be coming to you for advice. yeah, I've been an immature prick too, but I'm not running a mod bid. Hang on, you accuse me of being immature, but have you not also received a warning for vandlism?
- the worst thing about this though, is how you treat your "friends". Because Xoid and I are now being civil, and you don't have him condoning your actions, it's no longer his fight. Also, I thought you ended this with your last comment? I'm betting there'll be another. Don D Crummitt 15:17, 16 May 2006 (BST)
Your sugestion
I think:
- your sugestion sucks. Why would we want to encourage smoking? Oh wait I forogt, smoking is healthy and awsome and really good for you.
- if you really smoke, get help quiting.--Labine50 MHG 23:29, 18 May 2006 (BST)
- Well thanks. By the same rationale I'm sure that Kevan is condoning the use of guns against people, just because the game contains guns? Get off your high horse and start living in the real world. If you're stupid enough to start smoking because of some VB based game (which doesn't even contain VISUALS of people smoking), then you shouldn't even be using a computer. And for the record, I don't smoke. Don D Crummitt 09:27, 19 May 2006 (BST)
- You need to learn to develop a thicker skin than this, Don... otherwise you're going to run into trouble at every turn. Just some
friendlyneutral advice. --Cyberbob240CDF - U! 12:43, 19 May 2006 (BST)- How sweet Bob, glad to see you're still checking in on your ol' buddy. Love your friendly/neutral joke. Very endearing. Don D Crummitt 12:47, 19 May 2006 (BST)
- Your feeble attempt at sarcasm has no effect on me, Don. Again, it was some neutral advice from a stranger who has never met you before. --Cyberbob240CDF - U! 12:54, 19 May 2006 (BST)#
- zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz For someone who was ignorning me, you're not doing a very good job. Don D Crummitt 12:57, 19 May 2006 (BST)
- I was ignoring you while all that drama was going on. Now it's over, I can do whatever I want, thank you very much. --Cyberbob240CDF - U! 12:58, 19 May 2006 (BST)
- Anything you want? Like staying up until 10pm? Watching 18 rated movies? Pretty convenient I'd say. Obviously not a
manboy of conviction. Go and do your homework. Don D Crummitt 13:02, 19 May 2006 (BST)- Hey, don't get all defensive. I'm not here to start anything. If you want to get anywhere on this wiki, you're going to have to learn how to take advice. --Cyberbob240CDF - U! 13:05, 19 May 2006 (BST)
- Get anywhere? Climbing the corporate ladder are we? Oh yes I can't wait for my big break into the world of wiki-editing. Mum will be so proud.

- Bobby boy, that "advice" was nowt more than a snide comment. Keep them to yourself. I try to be civil, but I don't try too hard when I know it's not going to help.Don D Crummitt 13:32, 19 May 2006 (BST)
- Let me rephrase it then: You need to learn to develop a thicker skin than this, Don... otherwise you're going to run into trouble at every turn. Better? Because it really wasn't meant as a mean thing. --Cyberbob240CDF - U! 13:34, 19 May 2006 (BST)
- Much better. I need to develop a thicker skin, you need to learn that communication via the wiki is all about wording i.e.
friendly= mean. And I'm sorry for the "youngster" dig. It was a cheap shot. Don D Crummitt 13:40, 19 May 2006 (BST)

- And a false one. Don't talk to me in that condescending tone. "Much better"? Get real. --Cyberbob240CDF - U! 13:42, 19 May 2006 (BST)
- Fucking hell bob, talk about me not being thick skinned. You're reading way to much into this. How can you hear a condescending tone in "Much Better". This is what I was getting at. You can't convey the nuances of verbalisation through the starkly written word. If I wanted to get at you, I would have outright insulted you, because subtle remarks are hard to convey. This is exactly why I though your initial remark was an insult- because that is how it was written.
- And bob, you're the most condescending little arsehole on this site, so you can just go and fuck yourself. That's an insult. Don D Crummitt 13:52, 19 May 2006 (BST)
- Keep it up Don. You're on a roll! *continues to copy Don's replies in preparation for... something* --Cyberbob240CDF - U! 14:03, 19 May 2006 (BST)
- Isn't this harrassment? Bob, I told you to fuck off. On at least three occasions I've tried to at least be civil, but you're too proud to swallow it. So once again: Fuck off. Don D Crummitt 14:08, 19 May 2006 (BST)
- Harassment? No. This is me leaving. Goodbye. *copies Don's last reply for that...something, then leaves* --Cyberbob240CDF - U! 14:11, 19 May 2006 (BST)
- (Starts unindenting) this ain't helpin' anyone Bob. I know if you respond to this, that you're still checking up on him. Frankly, I don't really care what Don says in this case, Labine50 has proven himself to be a dick on multiple occasions. Including this one. "Sugestion" - for fucks sake, Labine was asking for it. –Xoid S•T•FU! 14:27, 19 May 2006 (BST)
- Anyway — Visual Basic? I had the strong impression that Urban Dead was written in either PERL or PHP.
- I'm pretty much ignorant of programs now, but whatever is used, it's similar to VB. I actually think VB is too primative for what UD is. Don D Crummitt 14:33, 19 May 2006 (BST)
- "Phallus", not "Phallace". Got you back for pointing out that grammatical error. –Xoid S•T•FU! 16:45, 19 May 2006 (BST)
- Balls (pun intended). I'd better correct that. Grammatical error indication? Moi? Don D Crummitt 16:52, 19 May 2006 (BST)
- One step ahead of you. Ha-ha! (And I'm unindenting or else!)
- this will happen eventually
- –Xoid S•T•FU! 16:55, 19 May 2006 (BST)
- I just really like the way stuff gets smaller and smaller and smaller with indenting. (God I AM a n00b. How many attempts did that just take?) Thanks for clearing that up. I'm archiving this debacle as of now! Don D Crummitt 16:58, 19 May 2006 (BST)
